Tired, in pain, and hopeless. Horrified.
the free market is a myth
I need to remember that no matter what, I always end up feeling empty. Even after a concert. Even after travelling. Even after living a happy story with the person I loved the most.
Nothing is gonna change that.
I just hope I die fast because I don't have the guts to kill myself nor do I know any dealers to get drugs to OD.
I just wish I weren't here
All I want is not to feel
Not to care
Not to be me
Whatever it takes to take the pain away
God forbid a girl wants to live her life...
Four weeks and four days of tinnitus and hearing loss. I didn't sleep tonight... If not only a few hours. I don't know how some people can live with this. I'm so tired...
Will it go away? Will i udjust? I don't know... Let's hope together things will be better, one way or another.
Sending hugs
I'm so sorry to read that! I know... It is horrible. Mine is reactive so today there was a noise son of a b on the street and it f'ed me up. I wish you the best. Let's hope to have treatment options available asap.
sending you love after reading your posts. when my ear started ringing i asked my roommate how he was able to handle it, asked online friends. they told me the usual lines: that it got better with time, that they learned to manage it, that they found good and happy life beyond it. i wasnt sure if i believed them but im starting to. i hope it gets better for you soon <3
Hi hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with me. I am trying. At least the last few days haven't been a nightmare (after reaching a very dark and desperate point on NYE). Hopefully the hyperacusis and tinnitus go away by some miracle or cure for us. Sending best wishes in this journey! 🤍
Thanks to life for giving me more reasons to end it every single day. Hopefully I'll get both the courage and desperation needed to say goodbye forever.
I actually want to get better. If only that happened, if I didn't have these ear diseases, I wouldn't be thinking about this.
Fuck Hyperacusis and tinnitus and noxacusis.
One day, you will reach the sea. (2022)
Theme- me
I've been looking at screens the entire day because I don't want to think.
Days are consumed in self-hatred.
We were almost there. We almost made it. I thought nothing could be as painful as what we had already been through, but here I am, mourning my old life and the possibilities that died with it. Simply, surviving. Ring, ring, ring... No silence, no peace.
They recorded tinnitus? It's a physical thing?????
Lola De La Mata speaks to Patrick Clarke about how her experience with severe tinnitus and vertigo fed into her new album Oceans On Azimuth
Source
Transcript:
The most mind-blowing moment, not only for De La Mata but the scientists too, came when they managed to actually record the sounds that she heard in her ears – which now appear as ‘Left Ear’ and ‘Right Ear’ which begin sides A and B on the album – and in doing so opened up questions about the nature of tinnitus itself. “The NHS definition is that it’s a phantom sound that your brain is creating, that it isn’t something ‘real’, so you should try to ignore it.” By having De La Mata place her ear into an anechoic chamber, with an ultra-sensitive microphone perched in her ear canal, they were able to provide significant evidence to the contrary. “After the first recording of it, it was ‘There’s no way, this isn’t possible.’” They tried again with her breath held, and again with her tensing her ears, and again with other members of staff, but each time it became apparent that yes, the noises De La Mata hears are seemingly something physical.
doctors need to stop defaulting to the assumption that everyone is just imagining shit.
My spouse has noxacusis so heard about this earlier this week. Life changing indeed.
Also, unclench your jaw.
This is the best description I’ve heard for this method, I always thought it was bullshit because I never heard a description that actually explained how to do this other than “tap your head 20 times”.
I have anxiety-induced hissing, which sounds/feels different from sound-induced tinnitus (which I have also experience). Sound-based tinnitus actually sounds like you’re “hearing” something in your ears, whilst the hissing I have feels like it’s “inside my head”, if that makes sense. But this technique still helps!!
Here’s a visual I found because I couldn’t understand the instructions well
My ringing just went away for the first time in years. What is this blissful quiet.
wait wait i gotta try this, i don’t think i’ve had Actual Silence since i was like 5
HOW THE FUCK
Reblogging to save a life, and also because, even if you don’t have tinnitus, this is totally worth trying if you like new sensory experiences.
Just showed this to my dad, and in his words, “The cicadas are still there, but the train is gone.”
I can’t believe it. It turned the volume down on my cicadas (what a perfect way to describe it—cicada season is when everyone gets a taste of tinnitus) for about two minutes.
yes! temporary relief from the eternal fax machine in our skull
Alright I’ll give it a go

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
PSA PSA PSA
I should be living my dream today. Instead, what I'm gonna do is trying to take a glimpse at it from a long distance, scared that even doing that little I might get hurt. My heart is completely shattered.
