Some of my favorite photos shot by Szilveszter Makó. I love the way he uses lighting and texture especially! I read that he is deeply influenced by the Renaissance era & I too really love that era of art. He also uses natural lighting in his photos which is incredible to me.

The first piece of work I saw by him was his shoot of Gwendoline Christie for Vouge Czechoslovakia. That shoot and the folk art style he used reminds me of the children’s book Strega Nona. It was one of my favorite books growing up lol. The ways both of the artist show up creatively are whimsical and warm and I just love it!
