Seeing Figure Skating on my dash thanks to that Anime for it makes me so happy, because there’s going to be people out there who will find that One Long Program that will stay with them for their entire lives and that you’ll come back to forever.
For me, that was Alexei Yagudin’s 2002 Olympics Long Program on Man in the Iron Mask - I was 9 years old and I was such a figure skating nerd, I remember seeing that long program and thinking he was the most amazing skater I had ever seen.
It was just perfection, and it still is.
I fucking love that program so, so, so much.
[HD] Philippe Candeloro - D'Artagnan (Free Skating) 1998 Nagano Olympics… Watching some videos from well before I started paying attention to skating, and damn, this is everything I want figure skating to be.

The Nod | for @patrichornkissed
of course sid (his work wife) picked him up
THE WAY THEY FIT SO PERFECTLY
hmm today I am thinking about sid saying geno is someone who has a lot of pride and isn't the type to talk about he feels and that you have to get to know him. and how sid, literally and metaphorically, opened the door to geno for anything via the 'come to my house' quote. acknowledging that geno might find it difficult to open up but when he's ready, sid will be there for him. but also sid knows when to push? like when HE went to geno to talk about the post olympic loss (and then geno saying sid saved him, he didn't know he cared so much), or how SID allegedly flew to miami during contractgate (which led to geno staying). and maybe taking it a step further - when sid went to pick him up after his knee surgery, and the profound effect that had on geno that he was so shocked. like sid knew how hard that was for geno and maybe geno didn't vocalise how upset he was but sid just knew and took it upon himself to open the door again and be there for him. IDK. the way they genuinely care for each other gets to me.
