Western Bobcat (Lynx rufus ssp. fasciatus)

Gerenuk is one of the few antelopes that regularly stands upright on its hind legs to reach leaves and shoots that other grazers cannot, giving it access to food high in thorny shrubs.
It is found in the dry bushlands of Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Somalia, and survives without regularly drinking water by getting most of its moisture from the plants it eats.
This unique feeding strategy helps it thrive in hot, arid habitats where water is scarce.

Dhole (Cuon alpinus). Found widely across parts of Asia from India to China to Indonesia, this social canid typically lives in groups of up to 12 individuals. Sometimes it even socializes with other groups of dholes to form “super packs” of more than 30 members! Teamwork enables these hunters to take down prey ten times their size. And unlike many other species of canid, dholes allow their pups to feed first on kills. Their diet includes pigs, deer, and buffalo.

No, you can’t pet that dog. ✋Introducing the bush dog (Speothos venaticus)! This rare canid is so elusive that it was once known only from fossils and thought to be long extinct. It inhabits parts of South America from Panama to northern Argentina, where it can be found in packs of up to 12 individuals. With partially webbed feet, this critter is a skilled swimmer and spends much of its time around water. It hunts for a variety of rodents including agoutis, pacas, and capybaras.

rediscovering ray troll's art in my fish era is such a delight. that guy makes art that sounds like his name. he was so right about fish worship
While the crab-eating fox’s (Cerdocyon thous) name implies that crabs make up most of its diet, this canid is omnivorous and has a wide-ranging menu that changes with the seasons. It lives in parts of eastern and northern South America, where it’s found in forests, savannas, shrubland, and wetlands. During the dry season, it may snack more on insects; during the wet season, it favors crustaceans.

Ever seen an Andean mountain cat before? No? That's not surprising considering it's an endangered species with only about 1,500 of these cats living in the wild.
