Today I had a long talk with one of my followers, they shared with me their story, and I shared mine with them. When everything was said, I felt it was time to pass on a piece of advice I’d been given years before.

Anyone who claims to be your “friend” but doesn’t celebrate your victories, and never misses your failures, is NOT your “friend.”

This goes for all walks of life, but it echoes louder for artists, writers, and musicians. If you have someone who claims to be your “friend” but has done nothing but hinder you, your passion, and your craft— then you have my permission to walk away.

There’s a saying in Mexico…

"I would rather be alone than in bad company."

Stay strong, dear followers. You don’t ‘owe’ anyone your friendship. It doesn’t matter if you have known each other your whole life, or if you just met. You have a limited time on this planet, don’t waste it surrounded by people who hinder your art.

This is my friend Sam and I.

We go to a private boarding school in Lake Tahoe, California.

Sam is pan-sexual and myself, well, I am a bit confused of who I am at the moment.

Last night, our school had a formal dinner and I asked Sam to be my date a week ago, he said yes!

The night of the formal dinner, Sam asked our assistant headmaster if he could wear a dress, he said no before he had even finished the question. The whole night, he was telling us how bizarre and weird we were. The night ended and the morning rose. We both have our first class of Friday with our assistant headmaster. He told the both of us if our relationship went any further, he would take us behind the barn and beat us. He also told us if we were in public school, we would have our dicks chopped off by other kids. After an entire period of being teased, Sam and I got together and thought we needed to do something about this. So here I am, Julien Nicol, 15 years old, asking for your help to spread this around and have it know that California allows private schools to discriminate against people with certain sexual preferences.

There are about 31,251 square miles of roads, parking lots, driveways, playgrounds, bike paths, and sidewalks in the lower 48 states. If Julie and Scott Brusaw have their way, they will all someday be replaced with solar panels.

For the better part of a decade, the Idaho couple has been working on prototyping an industrial-strength panel that could withstand the weight of even the largest trucks. They now appear to have cracked the formula, developing a specially textured glass coating for the panels that can not only bear tremendous loads but also support standard tire traction.

By their reckoning, at peak installation their panelized roads could produce more than three times the electricity consumed in the U.S.

The material could power electric vehicles through a receiver plate mounted beneath the vehicle and a transmitter plate is installed in the road.

IT HAS SO MUCH EXTRA STUFF IT’S UNBELIEVABLE HOW AMAZING THE ROAD COULD BE. 

THESE PEOPLE ARE SAINTS, THEY’VE WORKED THEIR BUTTS OFF AND VOLUNTEERS HAVE WORKED JUST AS HARD TO GET TO THIS LEVEL BUT THEY STILL HAVE JUST UNDER $ 800,000 TO RAISE IN 15 DAYS. 

THIS SORTA STUFF IS HOW WE’RE GOING TO CREATE A GREENER EARTH AND IT’S BEEN VIRTUALLY IGNORED BY TUMBLR. WE NEED TO SUPPORT THIS STUFF AND THESE SORTS OF PEOPLE WHO SELFLESSLY DEDICATE THEIR WORK TO CREATING A BETTER WORLD.

I hope that the person who a) cannot figure this out for himself and b) is so lacking in good judgment that he sends his query in to the NEWSPAPER ADVICE COLUMNIST is not considered representative of his gender/sex. My other guesses about this person are a) desperate teenager or b) troll. That said, yes, when males are clueless about the opposite gender they tend towards utter cluelessness.
