salem rhian clarington The Other Clarington + Twenty-One + Dancer + Photographer + Music Enthusiast Salem, Rhian, S.R., it doesn't matter what you call me. I'm just your average college student who happens to do a little dancing on the side. Nothing out of the ordinary there, except for the fact that my brothers were just some of many to star in 'Balboa Triplets.' Yeah, I'm a part of that Clarington family. Now you can catch me on season two: 'The Reunion' along side them and many other familiar faces.
"Someday, somewhere - anywhere, unfailingly, you'll find yourself, and that, and only that, can be the happiest or bitterest hour of your life."
Pablo Neruda
…No. No, that is not what I said. That is Morgan Logic. Because i’m the shows token asshole next to St. James. I just happened to be more attractive and richer, therefore my appeal is higher. It sadly does because I keep having overtly friendly people wanting to be in my personal space. That in itself seems like a movement to me. One person only gets a true pass and that’s because the regularly ride my dick so they catch me in a good mood most of the time. Take me as I am or take a walk out the fucking door. Simple, really. I don’t ask for much.
PRIVATE
-- It’s never good to follow in Morgan’s footsteps. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you as anything like that. ... Right. Wy couldn’t someone just want to get to know you? -- Yeah, I would rather not have anything to do with your dick, so I’ll definitely not be taking his lead. Yet you make it so difficult for someone to simply talk to you, let alone give them an opportunity to take you as you are.
…yes… and he is currently the most annoying man on earth but he insists on being in my presence so i’d adjusted. For starters, why exactly out of everyone on this show you’re approaching me to befriend. Because if this has to do with the ‘Poor Miserable Looking Sebastian’ movement that seems to quietly be going around, I am fine.
PRIVATE
So, if I insist on being your friend, eventually you’ll cave? Not to be rude, but why do you assume it’s only you that I’ve attempted to befriend? I didn’t even realize such a movement existed, though I can see where that would be tiring.
Jackson: I'm fairly certain I am not. I wasn't much for relationships either and managed to keep that statement pretty true. So I doubt i'd ever get married or the very least find someone that I would be willing to make that huge of a commitment too. Then again, most people on the show think i'm married to Pey. I just... he was like a fantasy and I haven't felt that way in such a long time. But that's too much pressure to put on a stranger.
[several minutes]
Jackson: Right now my terrible gut is telling me to forgive this person. Forsake the fact that they hurt me, even if it was a lifetime ago. My gut...still has feelings for this person and I hate myself for it. I hate emotions. I should've never opened myself up to them in that way. Platonically, I can handle. This? This is raw, naked and overexposure.
Salem: I let my fear get the best of me and ruined what could have been a good thing.
Salem: But there was a time when you were willing to give relationships a try. Even if you don't marry, I think you deserve to be with someone, to commit to someone who will finally make you see that it's okay to try; it's okay to love. It really could be some sort of sign that it's possible for you to connect with someone.
Salem: I know that opening yourself up could mean getting hurt, especially if this person has hurt you in the past. But, clearly, a part of you wants to get past that and give them a chance. This time around things could be different.
Never had Salem ever had a problem with flying but this long flight was beginning to take a toll on her. The longer she remained surrounded by people, the more claustrophobic she appeared to become. So it was no surprise that the moment she stepped off the plane, relief began to make its way through her and she stubbornly refused to even think about the flight she would take back home. That was a worry for another time. Right now all she wanted was to see Easton and --
It was in that moment that she spotted the brunette and her lips curled into a big, bright smile. Knowing that she was here made something tight around her heart unfurl, the pain she’d been feeling fading, if only for the moment. She didn’t think twice about what she was doing when she began to move forward, her feet appearing to carry her out of their own volition. “East...” Her bag dropped to the ground the instant they were within touching distance and she threw her arms around Easton, holding on tighter than she probably intended. “I missed you.” She whispered, pleased to finally be here, to be able to make up for the pain and sorrow she had caused.
Easton: And I am currently countries away, I honestly think texting is okay, you're not forcing me to do anything. I want to.
Easton: I honestly don't care what you think I deserve, and I'm not saying that to be rude, but it's true if you think I deserve someone who isn't the person I'm in love with.
[a few minutes]
Easton: That's you, by the way.
Salem: You never have to put on a brave face for me, you know.
Salem: I guess that makes sense. This is easier than the awkward face to face encounter. Which will probably happen eventually?
Salem: You've always been rather stubborn. If the person you're in love with is bad enough to end a good thing and break your heart then maybe you should reconsider.
Easton: Well you don't have too. Don't feel guilty, we probably should have aired out all our past problems before jumping into a relationship again.
Easton: You can always talk to me Dimples.
Easton: Just taketime, figure out what you want and I will be here every step of the way, okay?
Salem: It's not that easy. Yeah, we probably should have talked more about it but that doesn't excuse what happened. I did the thing I promised I would never do to you, I hurt you.
Salem: But... you need space, don't you? I can't, I won't force you to be here for me when it's only causing you more harm.
Salem: ... It's that, your willingness to put your own feelings aside simply to be there for someone, that had a hand in me falling in love with you in the first place. You deserve so much better than this.
