lately it's been hard to feel good in the world like things are moving forward like i have a future i'm reminding myself that there are still many beautiful places out there and over here and they are not so concerned as i am with human problems and human time this is one of my favorites a point of land jutting out into the atlantic somewhere where the waves beat the shoreline daily even now like they have for a thousand years more the lichens grow the seaweeds latch onto the rock with a stronger grip than you'd think the anemones soft barely there open themselves to the water and shut at the touch of my fingers i smell the salt feel the wind whip my face and i bend it away just like the rock bends slowly over eons to the touch of water and wind each part of this place is constantly growing and changing and being destroyed and it is beautiful and i can feel it with all my senses and i will see it again
