The lantern bearers by Maxfield Parrish is one of my favourite paintings, and I was very excited to draw this fanart version when since it came to my mind. I’m very happy with the result!!

Some weeks ago, I attended a book cover workshop in which I decided to make a cover for my favorite book putting in practice all that I learnt. It is a continuous illustration which goes from the back to the front of the cover, including the flaps. However, since Eon and Eona is a duology, last minute I decided to include a spine with a special design with a dragon head, that I want to complete eventually in a Eona cover design. The measures are not realistic since this is just a mock up, but it was really fun.

I am so happy Eon is my first cover design. It has always been a dream to me to become a professional illustrator and to fully illustrate these books. Some day!…

Towards a new art adventure

Dear all,

This is the first time I choose the tumblr text post option. I am writing to you, filled with excitement.

Up to now, my use of social media has always been erratic and unstructured, because posting art on the internet is just my hobby. However, I have made a decision of pursuing my dream of becoming an illustrator and comic artist. I will be taking this seriously now.

I've changed my handle to "sea salt" in Spanish, which a word play on my real name, and it is also the pen name I'm going to be using from now on. I've also created an Instagram account with this same handle. Although I prefer tumblr by far, and it is still going to be my main focus, I understand that it is more mainstream and it will help me to gain visibility. I'm also working on a website and a professional portfolio.

So feel free to follow if you'd like, and I hope I will be able to show you my first projects very soon! :)
