finally finished the jellyfish peepol

a curious case of weird biology, orawan are all kuru (that sting) and are covered in a wavy pattern that would line up with the meridians that lights up when active. they have long, spindly fingers that have no bones, no collarbone, and no tail bones. their neck is really long, and the luminant marks on their void purple skin makes them look like a humanoid cutout of space

they share a common mutated chromosome that only occurs in kuwoje as they're infected. it is in orawan, however, inactive, and extra skin that connects their arms to their ribs, as occurs in e'ozi

when orawan sleep, bond, or daydream, their hard to see pattern becomes bright white. it serves as a form of expression among other orawan. they can make it pulse, flash, wave, and flicker. they have no vocal chords and cannot speak, so use light signaling like a deep sea fish to communicate. when they do this, it gives off a constant EMP that makes stuff stop working

orawan are sexless and produce children through unknown means. some villages have said that their babies come from flowers. one of their rituals does involve invoking nature to grow flowers big enough to hold a little person, but nobody knows their true purpose

they can only be found on the continent of pandora where night and day overlap

thats about it. they're very much an unstudied curio, so a lot about them is in the wind. only the tips of their kurus sting, as does the tips of their fingers that connect to nature the same exact way. they attract hordes of soul seeds when idle and they like to dance

their appearance and observable activity make some liken them to fae

had a funny dream about hyperfixations on making monster ocs and this stranger had posted on tumblr as a joke "monster oc number 207, hes a big bat creature. theres two bats. him and the tiny version down there is also a bat. he uses his acute senses to win chess matches and summon demons" and i was just like, also as a joke, "you guys arent in the 600s yet???"

bear hugs are the best hugs with ursula

she's a gladiator bear that drinks blood like mead. big and lumbering she is not (unless she just woke up). shes just as fast as the average frame and gains speed with her abilities

1) bear hug - takes an enemy, shocks them, and throws them at other enemies. STRIKE! causes knockback, stun, and shocked status

2) warcry - invoke the gods with a call to the heavens and gain overarmor, increased damage output and decreased damage received, same applies to teammates within range, and all weapons will apply bleed

3) thundershock - crush the ground to bring forth a shockwave of lightning and flying stones that moves outward, electrocuting enemies in range and knocking them down or stunning them

4) gladiator's rage - out comes the claws, become temporarily invincible as you slash and dash and maul your enemies to death (can use with her 2 to stay invincible basically forever) applies slash, shocked, and bleed

her passive regains health for every enemy killed

shes a melee based frame, so shes got a war hammer, Mjolnr, and an axe, Leviata. when you throw them (by holding down attack) theyll come back like a boomerang!

yeah so, i based him on the white rabbit from alice in wonderland

here's hims abilities

1) eat me! - tap to shrink, hold to grow. when small, youre harder to hit. when big, you take less damage and can step on mobs

2) burrow - hide underground to heal for a short time, can be used to travel around the map and remains undetected by alarms. mobs yoinked underground if near them will give you energy

3) deadly shenanigans - spin the clock to spawn a random object that will trap, crush, slice, impale, or blow up mobs (aoe)

4) wonderland - phase into another realm where creatures not part of this world become your allies in battle. when in wonderland, gain 20% more ability strength and take 20% less damage. this ability is tied to his lore (how you discover his frame)

jericho's a troll/trap frame, for the peeps who like fucking around and cheatcoding bosses. he jumps higher than other frames and his passive is that he always knows where mobs are (hes got good hearing). idle animation is him checking his pocket watch tappin his foot all impatient like 🤨🤳 LOL

weird thing my transmutes can do now apparently is survive being beheaded

due to their extensive regenerative abilities the head and body can survive independently from one another. the body still contains a spinal cord being kept alive by the surrounding tissues (mycelium) and the head utilizes the kuru as an alt brain stem until the real thing is reattached to the body

during this bizarre fucking experience, they somehow sustain zero brain damage

to add, this is the likeliest reason why banuuk, despite THEIR ability to regenerate, do not survive upon being beheaded. they have no kuru and therefore no backup generator to keep their brain alive, therefore also causing their bodies to perish as the energy towards their regenerative abilities comes from the brain alone rather than that plus surrounding tissues in kuru-having transmutes

so far, transmutes that fall into the kuru-having category are the only ones capable of such a superpower. as for why a regular na'vi doesnt survive beheading, is because they lack the same regenerative abilities, but if given some kinda mycelial steroids it might be possible 🤷‍♀️

its the perfect combo to cheat death, spit in its face even

its also becoms evident that the body may wander in order to locate its head. its not the host controlling it either. the brain itself has a detectable "signal" that it uses to communicate with the body that basically says "hey, come find me!!" to the best of its ability. the host may also maintain feeling in their body despite being dismembered, much to the sameness of the flora of pandora and how it communicates (with extra steps i.e. telepathy between limbs????) but with flesh and bone. yeah, creepy. but cool!

anyway, one of my ocs got his head chopped off and instead of dying he and his brother spent the rest of day looking for his body 😂

ubisoft seems to like shooting themselves in the foot with games that either make them or bankrupt them lately so how bout we get the avatar version of assassin's creed since weve got the avatar version of far cry?

maybe im just stupid but how tf did subnautica 2 drop without warning like that?!

it looks amazing and theres proper voice acting?!?!?!?!

i also ended up having a dream that the call of the sea showed itself to a civilization that used to live on protea and lured them all to their deaths like big brother on alien steroids using this golden light that took over your mind if you looked at it for barely a minute

and the only way you could keep yourself from being big brother'd was by having a short attention span; to basically ignore it and keep yourself occupied with a dozen other things constantly 😭 easy enough for me but RIP the majority of that civilization because they were all eaten

the call of the sea was this suuuper tall tower-like living mountain. it could move, but only in place, and apparently no one knew????? and yeah, the "voice" was there, telling you to walk north. it wasn't particular, in your head it just took the voice of someone you loved dearly so you wouldn't refuse or question it

scary.. anyway! i cant wait to see what the lore is gonna be, esp with the whole "you can change your genetic information by merging with alien organisms in order to adapt" thing

had a dream sonic looked like this and he was like 6 feet tall and he wasnt wearing gloves. dont ask me why his legs are hairless, they just were and even though hes fine af he was still mad cursed like why did my brain make him into a gym bro 😭

if they ever made a slime rancher 3, itd be cool af if they went for themed islands in a big ass region

say for example, the "painter's paradise" island has slimes all related to said concept

the inkblot slime, the paintball slime, the canvas slime, etc..

or the "bouncy beach" island

coconut slime, palm tree slime, sand dollar slime, etc..

id even love an ocean based area, not technically an island, but that would utilize new equipment, new habitats, and a new form of exploration (underwater!!!!)

sea slimes, shark slimes, jellyfish slimes!

wed get some brand new slimes along with the current ones (for the nostalgia people) and the islands could be like origin points for the ones we see in the first and second games

maybe the tabby comes from cat island!

where theres calicos, siamese, turtleshells, voids, and clouds! voids spawn at night, and theres a rare sphynx slime

maybe the rock slime comes from the moonlit mines

where theres gemstone slimes, marble slimes, bismuth slimes, obsidian slimes, and the rare moonstone slime, etc..

they could go all out with seasons and weather cycles that make certain slimes spawn

ohhhh, i have so many ideas for this

a storm island with storm based slimes, a garden island with plant based slimes, a swamp island and a sky island........
