what if varang has a tafiti moment???
you know exactly what scene im talkin about..
just replace moana with any of the main cast, returning her (na'vi)manity
or she'll die with that hatred, which is also a possibility
no shortage of movie villians like that
i just hope that we get to see her have SOME semblance of regret or even just an INKLING of "maybe i can change before its too late" before then
i have this VERY weird feeling camerons gonna pull a matrix and have varang experience some kind of emotional recoil from what memories she mightve shared with spider, neytiri, and especially kiri
varang is infected now, and i dont think kiri ever bonded with anyone UNTIL varang so that's probably gonna mean something later given the context
and quaritch definitely isnt dead, no way. i have no doubt they're gonna bring him back again. hes like a roach atp. hes just gonna be all fucked up because he fell through a storm of fire and lightning
other things that might happen..
lo'ak leaves his family, on the pretense of being an outcast everywhere he goes and not getting along with jake whom makes him feel like shit for existing, payakan as his road buddy of course
kiri also leaves, but to go soul searching. she now knows a bit of what she's capable of and will probably try to hone it to some degree before coming home. she'll also be looking for answers, maybe someone with the same affliction to confide in
tuk grows up, makes nice with the metkayina and will probably want to stay with them
spider.. hoo boy. possibly will look for his father, maybe turn him against varang. maybe he himself will turn against his adoptive family for all the shit they've put him through, whether on his own or by coercion. maybe his body will suddenly give out from forced evolution and he'll be reborn as a na'vi. maybe he gets kidnapped again and this time people figure out how to breathe on pandora by reverse engineering the mycelium in his body into some kind of biosynthetic upgrade. maybe he vanishes off the face of pandora for his own good and everyone else's and nobody ever hears from him again. he becomes an urban legend, 'the only sky person to breathe here', that lives and then dies
jake dies eventually, doing something insanely reckless or stupid for the millionth time, or sacrifices himself in some great cataclysm that brings peace for another 20 years
quaritch lives but probably wont be the one to kill him, which will leave him cold and empty and looking for another purpose (like being a fucking father to his son)
neytiri lives on with a responsibility to care for her remaining kids and never remarries. with the loss of neteyam still in her head, the loss of her home, and now the challenging of her faith, she'll probably be on the verge of a religious crashout
everyone grieves for neteyam finally, in their own way. and hes probably going to tell them something like 'regardless of what you feel or what you believe, you only have each other, so you need to stay together. if you wont do it for yourselves, do it for me'
oh, and poor tonowari. hes definitely gonna be broken.. dying from grief IS a thing and if he does, aonung might step up to preserve whats left of his people. watch him go off the deep end and start blaming jake, then turn the metkayina against his whole family. on some real 'this is all your fault' energy. the war, the loss, being targeted in the first place, etc..
