Fire Emblem If coming to 3DS with two different versions of the game in 2016. ‘Fire Emblem If: Hoshido’ and 'Fire Emblem If: Nohr’ will have two separate campaigns based on warring Western vs. Eastern themed kingdoms.

Additional Mii Fighter costumes coming to Smash 4. Version 1.0.6 will include most of the new DLC announced during the 4.1.2015 Nintendo Direct. 

The patch will also include balance updates, and new sharing functionality for Wii U. Players will be able to upload and share photos, Mii Fighters, replays, and custom stages.

Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot allows fans to submit their requests for new fighters, costumes, etc.

Snake, King K Rool, Ice Climbers, Rayman, Isaac, Shovel Knight, Bayonetta, Shrek, Home Depot are mentioned quite often by the community.

Others have already began abusing the system, suggesting extremely offensive and outlandish new characters, such as Cat Mario, and Ridley.

Mewtwo reveal trailer. The first DLC character for Smash will be available on April 28th for $3.99 ($4.99 if you purchase both versions). 

Club Nintendo members who registered both products will receive their download code on April 15th.

YouTube plans to relaunch  streaming service, competing directly with Twitch for the gaming & esports scene. More information likely to come during E3, June 16th to the 18th.

Final Fantasy XI on Playstation 2 and Xbox 360 is coming to an end March 2016.

The team plants to release three final chapters in May, August, and November of this year for the PC version. 

Square Enix has promised small patches for bug fixes and balance issues, but no new major content will be released for FFXI after the three Rhapsodies of Vana'diel chapters.

Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void closed beta launches on March 31st. The beta is launching much earlier than previous test phases in an attempt to collect as much feedback as possible from players.

Nintendo announces it will move into mobile gaming with DeNA, and teases new “NX” Console. 

President and CEO of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata has long been opposed to the idea, saying mobile games would cheapen the quality of their IP. It is very likely this has come after pressure from investors and Nintendo’s recent poor fiscal performance.

In the stream, they reassure viewers that Nintendo is still optimistic about the video game industry. Iwata revealed Project NX to reaffirm their commitment to traditional gaming systems.

Cities: Skylines has now sold over 500k copies. 

To give you an idea of this level of success, the latest SimCity game sold 1.1 million in two weeks (Source) with a massive marketing team and EA backing it.

Unlike SimCity, Cities: Skylines has been receiving extremely positive feedback from reviewers and customers alike.
