Hahahaha! Oh, Oz, this is delightful!
Alright, alright, so many good things to comment on!
1. Galinda would set up a kissing booth and manage to make bank with it without having to actually kiss anyone. “Galinda reserves the right to deny whoever she wishes” you know what? Hell yeah. This should be implemented in more “kissing booth” scenarios, actually;
2. Elphaba, wicked thing that she is, would get in line and pay exclusively for the purpose of railing Galinda up. And because of the unacknowledged sexual tension– oh! Sorry, I meant “loathing” between them, not only is she doing that, but she’s also teasing her to Ev and back. “What’s wrong, Miss Galinda? Don’t you wanna kiss your green roomie?” Narrator voice: “She doesn’t realize Miss Galinda would very much like to kiss her green roomie. In fairness, neither does Miss Galinda herself.”;
3. “Fundraiser for a very real charity! The Emerald City is running out of Emeralds” I almost started hyperventilating at that one, swear to Lurline herself. Mostly because there are two equally funny ways to interpret it: either Galinda, a spoiled socialite, just made that up in order to rob get some easy money out of her fellow Shiz students, or this just is a real charity, which… Oh, the implications. The Wizard is really out there asking college students for their money in order to “buy more emeralds” for a city that isn’t even actually built with emeralds… Ah, Oscar. I really do hope the ballon popped on the way back and that the death was slow and torturous;
4. The kiss! THE KISS!!!!!! Both of their faces! Elphaba going “Nope! Not gonna unpack that” and getting outta there, while Galinda is straight up having a “I’m a homosexual!” epiphany. Glorious;
5. Of course that when it comes Boq’s turn to be rejected (she was never gonna kiss that man), Galinda just straight up slams the door on his face.
Them kids were chaotic way before the government started directly messing with their lives and I love when the fandom acknowledges that.
