robert downey jr from movies is unfuckable!
i love how sam was like. literally introduced as one of the most kind hearted and empathetic characters in the mcu. but anytime he sees bucky it activates a switch in his mind that’s like i HAVE to annoy the fuck out of this man on purpose or i will die. it is imperative i be a nuisance to him whenever possible.
People agreed that I should do that post, so here is your anti-Tony library:
- Tony hurting Sam for no reason.
- Tony hurting Sam for no reason part 2.
- A list of bad things Tony has already done.
- Tony was deffending the Accords. Now, this is what the Accords were about.
- Tony wasn't just trying to kill Bucky, he also didn't care if Steve died in the process.
- Tony didn't really care about his team mates
- Tonys motivations to want the accords (from his own mouth)
- Tony's rant in Endgame was peak bullshit
- Tony's rant in Endgame was peak bullshit part 2
- Tony isn't and will never be a good father figure to Peter
- Tony loves to use other people's trauma as a joke
- Tony loves to use other people's trauma as a joke part 2
- Tony loves to use other people's trauma as a joke part 3
- Tony loves to use other people's trauma as a joke part 4
- Tony was the one to start the airport fighr and his team had 0 comunication
- Tony called a child "pussy"
- Tony didn't offer a compromise in CW as some people think
- If Tony and Steve were in a relationship, it would be abusive with Tony as the abuser

Saw your posts about Anthony Mackie. Can you please explain what's going on? I don't really ship Sam and Bucky and I'm not the best at keeping up with drama in the Marvel fandom. What happened?
basically variety interviewed anthony mackie and asked him about sam and bucky (the ship) and he said that he doesnt ship them. which is well within his rights to do lmao??? and he said a bunch of other stuff too which tbh he was 100% right about (how ppl fetishize men in mlm relationships (ESP men of colour ESP Black men) how right now the current status quo is to tokenize queer relationships but never actually commit faithfully to actual rep etc etc) and compound that variety took. all of his reasonable statements and kind of just smashed it together in the headline etc to make it look like he said that gay ships are inherently fetishistic and bad.
and white marvel twitter (and some of u on tumblr) have decided because of this its open season #anthonymackieiscancelled2021 which. is so embarrassing it takes what. one interview headline for you to show ur true colours? this man has consistently and openly supported the lgbt+ community he's been a fantastic fucking ally for years and years and the moment you are able to misconstrue his words for shock value you turn your back on him. it's literally not what he meant and you are all too eager to condemn this man. dont think we forgot that random unwarranted post last month where someone was like i think anthony mackie is homophobic because "he gives off those vibes" or something. we all know what "those vibes" mean for u
also to the "its not about race" crowd. its always about fucking race you people just think white = default so you can put blm in your bio but refuse to address your own obvious antiblackness. embarrassing
SAM WILSON APPRECIATION WEEK Day 7 - Free choice
↳ “This is why you were chosen. Because a strong man, who had known power all his life, will lose respect for that power. But a weak man knows the value of strength, and knows compassion. Whatever happens tomorrow, you must promise me one thing. That you will stay who you are. Not a perfect soldier, but a good man.”
I need to talk about this scene. This scene actually, physically hurt me when I watched it in theaters, and cemented Iron Man as a bad guy in my head.
Sam Wilson saw his friend get shot out of the air. He was too late to save him; he watched his wingman die, and he was powerless to do anything.
So imagine how he feels when the shot that was meant to hit him hits Rhodey, who begins to plummet towards the ground. He immediately dives after him with zero hesitation, but he’s just not fast enough. He even apologizes to Tony, although he has nothing to apologize for.
And do you know what Tony does?
He shoots him. Point blank.
I don’t care if Tony didn’t know about Riley. It doesn’t matter. Sam Wilson just risked his life going after Rhodey, probably having flashbacks the entire way down, and he fails. Again.
And Tony doesn’t care. He shoots him, and he’s so close that the force of the shot sends Sam somersaulting backwards.
Sam did nothing to injure Rhodey in any way, and even tries to help, and Tony. Fricking. S h o o t s. H i m.
How can you support or stan this disgusting man?
Tony: *has a gutural, human reaction to what could easily be his best friend dying on the ground*
This dumbass: ugh he’s such a disgusting man
buddy, if your instinctive reaction to your friend almost dying is to shoot an unsuspecting person who is not armored and was literally just risking their life to try to save your friend then that's more of a you problem tbh.
i'm not going to keep repeating the same. fucking. arguments. i've been having for upwards of two years with you dumbasses who somehow cannot comprehend that violence is not an appropriate reaction to grief in any situation.
let's hear it for sam wilson,
the kindest character in the mcu who right from the beginning has been one of the most empathetic voices that people can't help but listen to, who can relate to the struggles of those who are ignored or tossed aside in favour for the big battles and players, whose first option is peace and not violence, who sees someone getting hurt and steps in even though he's been disrespected by that person several times, is genuine and tries to make things right and cares.
he cares.
sam wilson always adding a healthy dose of reality to the mcu
Antis: Sam Wilson doesn’t have a super power. How can he be Captain America without super strength? Sam: *kills a 20 foot tall alien with his own strength and the wings on his flight suit*
New Blog!!
Hello! I’ve noticed that the Sam Wilson tag is full of content that has nothing to do with the wonderful character. Many will use his tag just for their content to be seen, not caring about how it will affect his fans.
This is a new blog, introducing a new tag #justsamwilson created explicitly for Sam Wilson content.
Posts under this tag, and posts under the general tags concerning Sam Wilson will all be reblogged, so that fandom can appreciate and see content.
However, this is a shipping-free zone, only due to ships involving his character usually neglecting him. Please be mindful of that.
All content is allowed: Gifs, fics, graphics, meta, textposts, etc…
Please share to spread the word for Sam Wilson fans.
i don’t think we as a society appreicate anthony mackie’s acting enough. his comedic timing and ability to switch to being funny to more serious moments so smoothly is so well done and not talked about enough.
no thoughts head empty only sambucky
i love to headcanon steve as this aggressively progressive dude but like, he begged to be part of the us army,,,,,, we can’t just Forget That
He joined to literally fight Nazis the fuck you on about?
Minecraft lore is deeper than i remember
he was also like 20 and the Internet didn’t exist so besides the fact that fighting the Nazis was one of the few good things the military has ever done, just mayhaps Steve wasn’t fully briefed on the sins of US militarism and imperialism
I love that y’all think tha white people in the army in WWII joined to fight the evils of the Nazi party and not because of nationalism. The US sent minorities back to Germany to be gassed and only got involved after Germany threatened us.
captain america was created by joe simon and jack kirby, two jewish second generation immigrants. you can argue about what the character has come to represent culturally today but it’s absolutely insensitive to erase what the character was supposed to represent for the creators at the time.
hell this is the image on jack kirby’s wikipedia page next to the “entry into comics” section
it was absolutely a political statement, and one that positioned america against fascism, against antisemitism, which is more than we can say for some modern media or even the orange stain running our country
I would also like to add, he was introduced, like this, while the USA was not in the war, and was selling weapons to Germany -among other things. It was a very dangerous, very unpopular statement to make at the time. People love to do the ‘punch Hitler’ thing now, but when Captain America was first released with this cover, this was an extremely controversial statement.
Captain America was created in direct response to how the USA was reacting to the war at the time as a direct call to action against injustice specifically. Created by two Jewish men who were very much affected by all of this. They specifically designed him to look like he did because that was the ““Aryan Ideal”“ as part of that statement. That is why they made him blond, blue-eyed, white, tall, and muscular. They also called him ‘Captain America’ to implicitly tie the United States to this statement. This was a metaphor of ‘The USA has to stop letting others be hurt, it’s time to step up and do something’.
It’s not only insensitive to erase that, it’s Antisemitic to call a Jewish-made character that was a political statement against antisemitism in the 1940′s by people who were fed up with watching their loved ones die while people said they ‘shouldn’t get involved’ in a massive, global genocide attempt a ‘symbol of military industrial complex imperialism and nationalism’ when he was made as a symbol of resistance and a call to fight fascism and antisemitism.
Has anyone mentioned yet that American fascists were so pissed about Captain America that some American Nazis showed up at the Marvel offices to “show what Real Americans would do to Captain America”. Jack Kirby literally rolled up his sleeves and would have beaten the shit out of them if they hadn’t run off by the time he got to the lobby.
Like, fuck you if you refuse to accept that JEWISH AMERICANS created a character that is intended to protect Jews and other marginalized groups.
This.
there has always been a connection between jewish people and comic books/superheroes, and here are some pretty neat articles about that history:
Supermensches: Comic Books’ Secret Jewish History
Bird, Plane or SuperMensch? Jews and Superheroes Share a Rich History
The Deep Jewish Legacy of Comic Books and the Superhero Gene
The Jewish Influence on Comics Culture (this one is really neat b/c it talks about aou and how harmful it is to have the maximoff twins - two canonically jewish and romani characters - join hydra)
and, if you want to learn even more, may i suggest danny fingeroth’s book Disguised as Clark Kent: Jews, Comics, and the Creation of the Superhero
