“The Warmth”
Truly one of my best pieces, I am especially happy with how the linework came out, and the shading. I’ve also never drawn hands so nice.
:)
Drew this on a tablet using a sketchbook app.
It’s a commentary on what I am and how freakish it seems and how I didn’t ask for it. Tears of blood and large, black wings complete the picture well.
Overall, I’ve always been happy with this one, even when the only color was the blood.
This photo is crazy.
That’s because I took it in my grandfather’s back yard, (he had some woods back there) and I remember having one of these toys as a little kid: I could very well have dropped this as a child and photographed it as a teen, noticing how discarded and forgotten it looked.
Anyways, it’s a Sonic The Hedgehog-themed McDonald’s toy. Perfect image of my childhood, forgotten in the dust.
“Drown”
What a cutie! One of the first times I used color for outlines, I still really like it, but maybe I’ll redo it soon.
I took these pictures at the Florida State Fair, two or three years ago.
I was really interested in how many colors there were swirling around me and what it would look like if the color was reduced, so here we are.
I like the blue picture the best. (That’s also my favorite ride.)
“Depression”
Looking at this photo I took, I see that it kind of tells a story.
A raging party in a foresty back yard. A Letterman, probably an athlete. A half-hidden fandom that he is a part of.
He is a closeted nerd.
I did these all quite a while ago, and they aren’t very memorable to me, so here they are, I guess?
Also, I have no idea why the pineapple is so low quality, I promise it was not that way when I made it, with a tablet sketchbook app. I think I used Paint Tool SAI for the other two.
Used a vector program, surprisingly enough. I don’t remember how, but I figured our how to make this program used for clean and sharp lines do very blurry and smooth ones.
Title: All Washed Up
I used Inkscape to make this, a vector program.
Don’t ask me what this is, all I know is that there are arrows and that the original version was drawn on paper in gel pens - this one is cleaner and has some bad choices left out of the mix.
In this series, a dragon grows up alongside a flower. The first and last pictures are the best ones, these are not in order. The order they are posted here is 2143.
I’ll admit the color choices are a little childish of me, but what can I say? I was fourteen once. You can also see influences of snakes in the body shape and some of the curves. I was so good at drawing snakes at the time.
I think I’ll revamp this concept digitally, because I really like things with six legs, especially when they don’t normally have six legs.
Dragons I’ve always seen as hard to draw, and this was pretty good for me when I drew it. Now I have another piece that is so much better as a dragon and as a piece of art.
Honestly, i can’t rally remember why I made this, but I remember that anger turning into sadness pretty quickly.
This is made with a mouse, I used some public domain images and some sweet layering to make it, hope you like.
It says ‘LOVE’. i am very proud of the design.
I plan to get a tattoo of this, and there was once a time where I planned on being a tattoo artist. It's still an option, i guess, never too late to learn.
Anyways, this is ink and watercolor I think? On an index card.
With these I was trying to capture a certain aesthetic and it didn’t really work. Overall, I’m not happy with it, but I do like how the boots and shoes came out.
I feel like I did better drawing the men because I like the angles. It’s obvious that I avoided drawing curves. Oops!
Better luck next time, I guess.
Next time I’ll probably go for a full spectrum of people instead of just the gender binary, though.
I’ve had 18 by Anarbor played for me recently by this genderfluid person I think I love and now I’ve been listening to it every chance I get.
It’s such a tragic story but maybe it does describe my situation? This art reflects how awful and great it makes me feel, so ???
I might be in love, but maybe I don’t know any better.
