Hello, my name is Sameh and I'm a teacher living in Gaza. After 12 years of marriage, my wife and I finally welcomed our precious baby girl, Hayat, into this war-torn world.

We fled from the north to the south, seeking safety, but the conflict followed us. I’ve lost my sister and her family to missile strikes, and I’m terrified of losing my daughter too.

Before the war, this was the most beautiful week at the beginning of the school year, where we got to know new students and prepare the students and increase their readiness for study

But today there are no schools, they have been destroyed, many students and teachers have been displaced and martyred

The rest are busy struggling for survival

قبل الحرب كان هذا اجمل اسبوع في بداية العام الدراسي حيث نتعرف على طلاب جدد ونجهز الطلاب ونزيد استعدادهم للدراسة

لكن اليوم لا توجد مدارس، لقد دمرت، وتشرد واستشهد العديد من الطلاب والمعلمين

والباقون مشغولون بالنضال من أجل البقاء
