elizabeth-morgan:
āOnly offensive to you.ā This wasnāt true at all, her jokes offended many people in the past, though she could tell Sam wasnāt being serious. Liz shrugged her shoulders before looking at the DVD he was holding. Knitting her brows together, she snorted mockingly.Ā āWell, the title sounds very lame but if thereās a murder in it, I am sure it will fit my sense of humor.ā Liz pointed out as they kept walking down the aisle.Ā āRight? I am glad itās still open, they have the every horror movie you could ask for.ā She agreed with a nod.Ā āDonāt get me started on Netflix. Sure itās practical but you canāt find every movie in there. Besides rental places like this has bunch of hipster customers. I mean, yeah itās not a lot but itās still something.ā
āBecause it is lame,ā Sam confirmed as he placed the box down. His eyes continued to scan over the various titles as he slowly wandered down the aisle.Ā āThese places just make me nostalgic,ā he said,Ā āRemember Blockbuster? Those were the days. Did you know thereās still one open? Itās all the way in Alaska, but now I have one more reason to go visit Alaska.ā Sam stopped as he picked up what looked like a romantic comedy and held it out for Liz.Ā āThis looks like something youād be secretly into. A total guilty pleasure,ā he teased.
winnie-mearns:
āIt was time for a change,ā Winnie replied, her lips pursing for a moment before she returned his smile, giving Sam a stiff hug in return, immediately noticing the bottle of wine in his hand. Right. That was going to be awkward to try and get out of.Ā āI had been in that apartment since I wasā¦..twenty-one, I think? I loved it, butā¦.it was time to move on,ā she said with a sigh, stepping away from him and titling her head towards the kitchen.Ā āIād say Iād give you a tour, but thereās not much to show. Kitchen-slash-dining room here, living room-slash-bedroom through there. Come on all the way in, though. The kitchen is tiny, as you can see, so hopefully that doesnāt affect your culinary mastery tooĀ much,ā she added jokingly as she deftly changed the subject, not wanting to get into the reasons behind her move too deeply.
āSoā¦.um. How have you been?ā Winnie asked, clearing off the table so he could set down his bag of groceries for the dinner and start unpacking them. She wrung her hands together, her eyes moving over him for a moment in awkwardness.Ā āAnd how can I help? Put me to work, please. I donāt want to just sit hereā¦.plus, Iām still not entirely sure I trust you,ā she said, a small, teasing half-smile crossing her face.
He took a step into her apartment when she told him to, his eyes following her direction as she pointed out the kitchen, dining room, and living room. He craned his head to try and get a peek at where her bedroom would be as he moved towards the kitchen counter and set down the wine and bag of groceries.Ā āWell, itās a nice change,ā he commented as he pushed the bottle of wine into a corner to clear space and started to pull out food from the grocery bag: lemons, salmon, herbs, and a whole assortment of vegetables,Ā āI like it. I feel like it suits you a bit more.āĀ
He glanced back over his shoulder to see Winnie awkwardly hovering to the side of the kitchen. It was weird being in her presence after she had disappeared on him this time. Was this how she felt when he called her up at three in the morning? The tables were really turned around on him, and he felt worse for his disappearing act on her. The least he could do was make a dinner for her and try to connect with her somehow and see if things would fall back into the rhythm they had before--whatever rhythm that was.Ā
āUh, you know what? Thatās fair. I wouldnāt really trust me either,ā he said with a small laugh before he glanced back at his ingredients and frowned at it all,Ā āIt would be great if you could point me to a pan and some foil. Iām gonna bake the salmon and asparagus together, and if you want to cut the lemons into slices, that would be great too.ā He started to unpackage everything and pull the salmon out of its paper wrap as he answered,Ā āIāve been all right. Been spending a lot of time working, but now that the semesterās over Iāve had a lot of free time on my hands. What about you? How have you been?ā
emilysullivan:
āProbably around the same time E.R. did,ā she shrugged. Not being much of a TV shows kind of girl, not the ones that were not on Netflix anyway, she couldnāt really know what he was talking about, she was sure she had watched about one season of it and that was it.Ā āYou are very passionate about the ending of this show and itās okay, just letās avoid any kind of billboards from now on, okay?ā Em grinned.Ā āAh, Iām good. Dayās been good. Picking up dresses and cake tasting today. How would you like to come with me on a cake tasting trip? Well, not trip, more like afternoon. Do you have the time?ā
āThatās nearly impossible,ā he said, more of a mutter to himself as he glanced around a city that was ridden with billboards and advertisements. ABC had money, and they spent it right in Samās face. He took another sip of his coffee and started to glance over his lunch options for the day while listening to Emily talk about her day.Ā āActually, that sounds like a good time,ā he said as he turned his wrist and glanced at the time,Ā āI think I have some time. Weāre not gonna be doing all of this until seven, right?ā He looked back to her, a joking expression on his features as he added,Ā āThatās my time to watch The Big Bang Theory and complain at my TV.ā
dr-athenamontgomery:
Athena rested her hands on her stomach.Ā āIf it were that easy.ā She chuckled in response.Ā āHe?ā The brunette raised an eyebrow.Ā āThis growing weed in my stomach is a little girl.ā She smiled at the man.
āThereās no way I wouldāve known that,ā he said, his brows furrowing as he eyed Athenaās stomach,Ā āA girl, huh? Congratulations then. Elliott didnāt tell me that you guys knew the sex yet.āĀ
kylehowland:
āItās so fucking boring,ā Kyle grumbled and shook his head.Ā āItās the same fucking jokes over and over. Anyone who likes it probably has shit taste in general.Ā āModern Family is also, very fucking boring. They reuse the same jokes as well.ā
āOf course you wouldnāt like it, Howland,ā Sam mused,Ā āNot much you actually like other than yelling at me and whoever else you train on a daily basis, right?āĀ
zoe---andrews:
Zoe laughed as she listened to Sam, nodding her head. āIt really is a terrible show, I have to agree with you there.ā she said, taking a sip of her coffee. It had been awhile since the blonde had seen Sam, so she was excited when he had agreed to get coffee.
āThankĀ you,ā he said with a nod, a sigh of relief coming out of him. He was glad that he was getting some sort of validation. The show was popular for some reason, and he had absolutely no clue why so many people liked it. It was one of the great mysteries in Samās life.Ā
Save Room - John Legend
do you like your roommate?
āNo. Not really at all.ā @eligreyson
ryan-dempsey:
āI mean, itās not that bad. There are much worse shows,ā Ryan countered, bringing his own cup of coffee up to his lips to take a sip of the hot liquid, matching Sam stride for stride.Ā āItās not like you have impeccable taste in TV shows, Harden. Iām sure youāve got some trashy guilty pleasure shows on your DVR.ā
Sam flashed Ryan a look of pure disbelief. He held Ryan to a higher standard, and to hear his friend defend the one thing Sam felt so passionately against was appalling.Ā āāItās not that badā? Come on!ā Sam said with a shake of his head,Ā āI canāt believe youāre defending such a stupid show. If I ever get married, Iām putting you at the table with all of the other people who like The Big Bang Theory.ā Sam stopped at the clothing store and pointed to the door as he added,Ā āNow get your ass in there, and weāre gonna get you some date-worthy clothes, dammit.ā
mararichardson:
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a blonde figure start to rise, and Sam instinctively grabbed onto his friend when he realized who it was.Ā āOh, fuck, fuck,ā he muttered as he started to walk in the other direction,Ā āItās Mara. We canāt go that way anymore. Letās just go around the block. Iām okay with avoiding with my issues today. Come on.āĀ
@samharden
It was one of those days for James where he didnāt exactly go straight home. Instead, he decided to make his way towards the bar in downtown Boston after finishing up the rest of his work. It was a particularly easy rest of the week so it definitely called for a celebration for the man. Ordering himself a drink, James smiled flirtatiously at the pretty bartender before clearing his throat and handing her a couple of bills. Looking around the bar for a moment, James turned to face the man beside him who looked a little rough.Ā āLong day?ā
Sam glanced up from his drink when he heard someone start speaking to him. Sam was lost in his own reverie, completely engrossed in his own thought as he worked through his day, his work, and his life. It took him a second to register what his neighbor was saying, and with his brows raised, he replied with:Ā āWhat? Oh, no. Well--ā He lifted a shoulder in a shrug before he mused,Ā āI guess I wouldnāt really be sitting at a bar alone if it wasnāt such a long day. I could ask you the same too since that also seems to be what youāre doing.ā Feeling that it was probably appropriate to introduce himself before delving into his personal life, Sam turned on his stool and stuck his hand out for James to shake as he said,Ā āIām Sam. I donāt think Iāve seen you around before.ā
kcllyjo:
āSo⦠Iām guessing you donāt trust about fourteen million other people then, huh. I mean, I personally donāt like the show but I think itās a bit of a stretch to declare anyone who does as untrustworthy,ā Kelly shrugged, her eyes glued to the screen of her phone as she walked alongside him.Ā āWhat else do you consider incredibly bad and unworthy of trust?ā
āJust that, really,ā Sam said,Ā āI know it sounds crazy. Itās completely irrational, and my whole job is about logic. So I know that Iām being crazy. I just canāt put my finger on why I hate it so much, but I just do.ā He lifted his shoulders up in a shrug before he came to a stop and looked up at the building. He squinted his eyes as he tried his best to make what he could of the building as the sun shined brightly down on him.Ā āSo what am I helping you out with here, anyway?ā he asked,Ā āDo you need boxes moved or am I painting your store for you? I shouldāve probably listened better, but I was too busy thinking about stupid TV shows.ā
emmcrose:
āI havenāt seen that show so thereās no much I can say about it but I have seen the actors who are in it and Iām not a fan of Kaley Coco or whatever her name is.ā She shrugged.Ā āWhat is the show about anyway and why do you hate it so much?ā
āReally?ā Sam asked,Ā āI mean, I havenāt really seen it either, but you have no idea what itās about? At all?ā He shook his head, his lips pursed as he tried to imagine how such a popular show hadnāt seeped into Emmaās life like it had for Sam.Ā āIām jealous,ā he admitted,Ā āAll of my co-workers love it, but maybe itās because theyāre all dorks. Itās just a nerdy show thatās catered to nerds, and God--ā He could feel himself getting upset about it again.Ā āYou know how people get irrationally angry at something? This is my something,ā he said.
hunterneverprey:
Daniel chuckled, sipping his own ice coffee while listening to the maleās opinion. Who knew he felt this strongly about the CBS program? āItās an aāight show, not as funny as some people believe it to be. I could only stand a few episodes.ā
āIt just doesnāt deserve the kind of attention it gets, Daniel,ā Sam insisted. He usually wasnāt so irked by TV shows, but recently, Samās found himself annoyed by most things. The billboard was the nail in the coffin for him.Ā āItās ridiculous what people like,ā he said with a shake of his head and a sigh. Sam came up to the RMV building and stared up at it anxiously.Ā āAre you sure you want to accompany me to get my license?ā he asked,Ā āItās really my fault that I lost it in the first place.ā
dr-athenamontgomery:
Athena rolled her eyes at the typical male response.Ā āI could just look it up, but I like to consider people, I know for opinionsā¦ā She stated.Ā āBesides, you have to be careful with things online, people can be asses. In person, you can usually tell if someone is lying to you just by looking at their face. I want whatās best for my baby and I, Sam. Besides, I believe you were friends or at least acquaintances with Elliott. ā
Sam wrinkled his nose, his hand pointing towards Athenaās round belly.Ā āMaybe you should ask your baby then,ā he said, a joking smile appearing on his face,Ā āYour babyās going to be the one wearing it and possibly getting his ass chafed.āĀ
