ok a thing to remember when having gif convos in your rp is that you need to do the “yes, and?” exercise that they teach you in improv. i’m tired of having to make up shit on the fly bc your stale asses can’t carry on a conversation passed the one line

also, in improv, they tell you not to say “no” to anything. if i make a starter saying ‘want to go grab coffee?’ it’s really hard to reply if your character just says “no”. bc then the convo is basically over. or if i make a starter saying “your shoe is untied” and you reply with “no it isnt.” then you basically just brought the conversation to a brick wall.

Honestly, this is simply out of curiosity. I’d love to see how many people on here would use asian faces or rp against them. It has happened so often to me that i’ll join a rp with an asian fc and be completely ignored. Or where I admin a rp and no one shows interest in asian faces. But the point here being, I’d love to know how many people on here are open minded in that sense.

Dear Roleplay Community,

It is 2016.  Will it be too much to ask that you judge a roleplayer by the content of their character( such as their about pages, bio or headcanons) and not by the title or classification of which character is or what the mun identifies as? 

It is 2016.  

Original Characters should not be made to feel like they do not belong because they are not canon.

Female character should not be turned away because of their gender.

Male Original Characters should not be treated differently because they are male.

The Gender, Sexuality, or Romantic identification or preference does equate what they want from your muse.

Do not shame a character for their sexuality, gender,race, body image or kinks.

The Race of a character or mun has nothing to do with their ability to roleplay a character. 

A character with powers or abilities does not make them an automatic godmod.

Having a character with no special abilities or powers does not make them less special

Having a muse that has disabilities doesn’t make them any less able than a muse with no disabilities. 

There is no reason to be so judgemental based on appearances and classifications.  Stop. It.  It is hard enough for individuals in this community stop making it even harder for them.  It’s one thing to be exclusive or selective but it is something else to come off as insensitive or even as a bigot.

Be open-minded.

Be kind.

Be supportive.

as an rper, i don’t mind having an rp partner who takes forever replying to stuff, or isn’t always spamming me with headcanons and aus and drowning in feels with me 24/7. it’s totally fine if sometimes your muse goes dormant and i definitely get it and you don’t have to be enthusiastic all the time with me. i get that sometimes muses are unbelievably loud but during other times they just refuse to cooperate. as long as you’re still passionate about the character that you’re playing and you’re still into our plot, then it’s cool with me.
