Nyx was in foster care for as long as he can remember, he saw him mom every few years but not often. About two years ago, Phil and Kristen adopted him. He had three older brothers now, though he was still learning to fit in with the family.
Nyx is afab but doesn't have a defined label. Uses he/him for the most part. He dresses both fem and masc.

Nyx was in his bedroom, he felt much more comfortable here than he had anywhere else. Phil and Kristen were super nice and gentle with him, Techno and Wilbur were very helpful with homework, Wilbur also sang him songs sometimes! Tommy was like his best friend, they were attached at the hips most of the time
Nyx had finally gotten the hang of all the routines, he had a close group of friends at school, he was in therapy now, and he was much better with communication now. Today was Easter, Phil's family wanted to meet Nyx, as he'd been too anxious or was still warming up to the family to meet before today.
Kristen was helping Nyx change, she herself was wearing a yellow sundress with flowers. Kristen was helping Nyx into a similar dress, though his was blue and had different flowers.
"There you go love, you look so pretty!" Kristen cooed softly, patting Nyx's head. "Now, do you want a blue bow or a yellow bow in your hair?" She asked. Nyx pointed at the blue bow, he loved blue a lot.
Kristen smiled and grabbed the blue ribbon with while polka dots. She put Nyx's hair into pigtails and tied it off with the ribbon.

Phil was helping Wilbur fix his shirt, Tommy was complaining about having to go to the party as usual. Phil sighed, Techno rolled his eyes. Phil fixed Techno's tie after shifting Wilbur's shirt collar properly.
Kristen walked out of the bathroom with Nyx, Tommy was still complaining. "Why do we have to goooo? Can't we stay home like last year?" He whined, crossing his arms with a pout. Kristen huffed, shaking her head as Phil responded.
"Grandma and Grandpa want to meet Nyx, so does the rest of the family. Plus, there's going to be lots of food so you can snack all you want." Phil replied, putting his hand on Tommy's shoulder.
Wilbur walked over and picked Nyx up, leaning his cheek on Nyx's head. "Let's hope Grandfather and Grandma don't try to bother Nyxie." He murmured to Kristen and Phil. Kristen nodded in agreement, knowing Nyx was very anxious and hated being around a lot of people. This gathering was surely going to stress him out a lot, so they agreed to have Nyx stay with Techno, since he tends to stay by himself during gatherings kr plays ganes on his phone.
Phil had warned his family to not approach Nyx or speak to him unless prompted to do so, but he knew his family well enough to know they would definitely try and stir up some issues at some point.

They soon pulled into the long driveway of Phil's parents' house. Phil and Kristen went ahead and got out, Tommy ran after then and Wilbur followed behind him, eyes glued to his phone. Techno helped Nyx get out, carrying his little brother up to the door.
Techno looked at Nyx, he didn't want to admit it but he truly was worried for him. He hated seeing Nyx so stressed out and anxious, Nyx was his baby brother, he shouldn't be scared like this. "Hey bud?" Techno said softly, "If you get overwhelmed just tell me, we can step outside and sit down, okay?"
Nyx nodded, nuzzling into Techno's shoulder. He closed his eyes and yawned, clutching Starfish, his Vaporeon plushie he got for his 8th birthday from Phil and Kristen. Techno felt a bit more relaxed now that Nyx understood what to do. He walked inside the house, the smell of burgers and all the side dishes fill his senses, his younger cousins ran around, chasing one another through the house.

The operation table was cold, the room smelled of blood as D̶r̶.̶ ̶L̶y̶n̶c̶h̶ cleaned the mess, he sighed deeply, shaking his head in disappointment. "You should know better than to fight back, dear. This happens every time." He murmured, patting Lyth's knee softly.
Lyth still has tears falling down his face, his pale blue eyes locked on the floor, his mess. D̶r̶.̶ ̶L̶y̶n̶c̶h̶ chuckled, standing up and throwing the blood soaked paper towels into a nearby trash can. He lifted Lyth's chin, patting his cheek. "I expect you to stay calm next time, dear. I don't want my favorite experiment to get locked up in that scary cellar again, his cries were oh so pitiful last time." He cooed mockingly. Lyth trembled, terror taking over his body at the reminder of that horrid hellhole. D̶r̶.̶ ̶L̶y̶n̶c̶h̶ had saved him from that thing, Lyth had promised to never misbehave again, he didn't like seeing the doctor's sad expression when he was sent down there...
Lyth bowed his head down, his tears slowly coming to a stop. "I'm sorry doctor...I-I'll do better next time, I promise..." Lyth mumbled, his soft white hair falling into his face, D̶r̶.̶ ̶L̶y̶n̶c̶h̶ sighed, shaking his head. "You better, you know I simply adore hate sending you down their, darling." D̶r̶.̶ ̶L̶y̶n̶c̶h̶ said, turning around. "Go back to your room, we'll try again tomorrow."
Lyth nodded, standing up form the operation table, he clasped his hands together in front of him, walking out of the room and into the hallway. His bare feet made light footsteps against the cold floors. He stood in front of his door after a few minutes of silently walking, he reached out, grabbing the door handle and pushing the door open. Lyth stepped inside the room, closing the door gently behind him. His room was more decorated than most of the experiments at the lab, he had a mountain of plushies lined up on his bed, fluffy pillows, soft blanket, and a small toy chest full of his toys in the corner. He walked over to his bed, sitting down carefully. He looked at his arms, he had a colorful blue band-aid over the spot where D̶r̶.̶ ̶L̶y̶n̶c̶h̶ had injected his medicine, his other wounds were still open, but many of them had stopped bleeding for the most part. Lyth sniffled softly, he felt sad. He was a bad patient, D̶r̶.̶ ̶L̶y̶nc̶h̶ was so nice to him and he was still bad. He wanted to be good, he did! But he found it impossible to not lash out during his operations, he didn't understand it. He used to be perfect! He sat still, didn't fight, and he'd get treats, now he couldn't do that!
He grabbed Mr. Steve, a stuffed cat that Lyth loved a lot, and cuddled it against his chest. He felt tears starting to fall down his cheeks, he needed to do better. He wanted D̶r̶.̶ ̶L̶y̶n̶c̶h̶ to be proud of him, he needed the approval, desperately.

Jade never thought of herself as parental, not at all. She looked after Nyx, sure, but Nyx is a clingy thing that needs love and she can't give that to him constantly. Well she thought that until meeting you, who she immediately took in as a pup.
She found you in a dumpster, nibbling on a popsicle while your fur got damp from the heavy rain. She had picked you up, huffing to herself while walking home in the dumb rain.
She would growl at anyone who got too close to you, groomed your hair and grumbled when it got messy. She let you play with Nyx, who was more than happy to have a "sibling", even if you looked a bit silly to him.
