Hi I had to do a media fast for my social technology module at uni where I could not use the Internet, watch tv, listen to the radio, use my iPad or iPod and play video games. This is a video of me explaining what I did and how I felt. Sorry about the uhms and pauses.

Audience behaviour
Audiences behaviour has change in the last ten years or so because we used to just watch or listen and consume. Now we interact with what we are watching or listening to.
How computers computers have changed and the way we use them. Computer have changed it the last ten years they used to be big and only be able to click they had no internet. Now we and do pretty much anything on them.
The Internet When the Internet first started being used in the home. The audience used to search something and just consumed what they reared. Now they can get involved more, interact, question and communicate with others online.
Social media has changed audience behaviour it’s brought the world closer together and integrated different media. Social media has brought problems too for example cyber bullying was created. So the way people bully has changed.
Tv When we first started watching tv that’s all we did was watch and consume now we can so do much on them like connect to the Internet (smart TVs), watch program’s in 3D. We can also connect and interact though social media eg twitter Facebook and give our opinions to the tv show.
Radio We used to open be able to tune it to certain stations and consume. Now we have many different stations and we can also watch the radio.
In conclusion in the last ten years everything like social media, tv, radio and the Internet is more integrated with each other.
What I think will happen in the future is viral reality, where we will not leave our own homes we will just do certain task through the Internet.
Most interesting thing I’ve seen on the Internet revisited
Spreadable Media Works - on the 14th February I posted a video and article about a fish called Ada that cant stay a float on its own this means she can’t swim with her fish friends.
Well when I posted the video and article it only had about 600 views now only three weeks later it has 46,976 views. : D

Everything is a remix
my impressions of the ideas in the film on everything is a remix 4 part film. www.everythingisaremix.info/watch-the-series well the first thing is what is a remix. It is an idea of combining material to create something new and it all started with hip hop music. From the film I get the impression that everything is a remix from books, to movies, to music. most films these days are created by using the ones before them for example stars wars get ideas from other films scenes like flash Gordon and the searchers. I also got the impression that new films now are not described as original they are genre movies. Films, books, plays are linked together and copied. Creation requires influence this means that in order to create new things we need influences. Copying is how we learn, no one starts out original you need copying to gain knowledge. so therefore the basic elements of creativity are copy, transform and combine. Xerox created the first personal computer and this got improvement over time. This was important to the grow of technology. It is demonstration of the explosive of parental of combinations. Evolution is copy, transform and combine. I got the impression that laws ignores our creativity and stop people from making ideas better. As people we don’t like being copied however I think its important to be able to copy/remix things so we can improve things that already have. Its hard to copy now because of the law and this means it hard to spread the best ideas around meaning they will not get improved on. so in conclusion I the mean impression I had from watch the everything is a remix 4 part film is that remixing is good and that to improve ideas we need to copy.

The video and article is about a fish called ada that cant stay a float on its own this means she can’t swim with her fish friends. This is the most interest thing I’ve seen on the Internet this week because I think it’s nice that her owner cares about the fish enough to make it a life band so it can swim with the other fishes even if the fish looks weird. So I think it’s a weird story but it puts a smile on my face when I seen it. I think it’s cute :D.
My top 5 films

I love the story line that when animals do get lost that they can always find their way home. I also love the fact that they give pets human voices. When i was little this made me believe that animals could tall when you wasn’t. 2. Happy feet 2 www.youtube.com/watch?v=uw7R_RGAd9I&w=640&h=390 I love animations and penguins that one of the main reasons why I love this film. I also love the songs they sing in it. Its a really happy and up beat film. 3. Taken www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvUxdQ4q-Lg&w=640&h=390 Liam neeson is one of my favorite actors and this is one of my favorite film he is in. The story line to this film is really gripping and makes you want to watch it again. 4. Independence Day www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-S9nKByu5w&w=640&h=390 This is one of my favourite films with Will Smith in. I love the story line that aliens are going to take out the world and only two men stop them. The film makes me laugh. 5. inception www.youtube.com/watch?v=66TuSJo4dZM&w=640&h=390 I love films that you need to use your brain to work out the ending. I think this is a really good film but it can be confusing at times. I think the story line is brilliant.
