Lately, I’ve restarted watching one of my favourite animes, Rurouni Kenshin. And I cried just as a lady with this scene. I’ve watched the scene in japanese also, but in portuguese it was somehow more powerful. In the portuguese dub, instead of saying “Thanks for everything. I’m a wanderer. And I’ll be wandering again”, Kenshin says: “Thank you for everything you gave me. I have to go to Edo, but that does not mean I don’t love you. Goodbye, Kaoru.”

humans are so cute, when we say goodbye we put our arms around each other and to show we love someone we bring them flowers. we say hello by holding each other’s hand, and sometimes tiny little dewdrops form in our eyes. for pleasure we listen to arrangements of sounds, press our lips together, smoke dried leaves, get drunk off of old fruit. we’re all just little animals, falling in love and having breakfast beneath billions of stars :~)
