nettles -
summary: what starts as late-night cigarettes and aimless drives slowly becomes something deeper between you and dean- the boy with bruises and the girl too soft, until circumstances start to pull him away.
tw. dean x fem! reader. set before season one. underage smoking. smoking. bruises. abuse implied. yearning. angst. kissing. love admissions. no happy ending. inspired by nettles - ethel cain.
the flickering OPEN sign buzzed in the gas station window, moths battered themselves against the weak neon glow while somewhere out beyond the tree line gunshots could be heard from the local hunters. people say the south could rot pretty and they’d been right about that.
you stood at the counter with three crumpled dollar bills sweating in your hand and a pack of Marlboro Reds sitting between the cashier. he pulled his glasses up giving you a once over with a raised eyebrow and thick accent.
“you got ID, missy?”
your stomach dropped following with an automatic lie you had practiced in the broken mirror at home. “i’m eighteen.”
“mmhm.”
the old ceiling fan buzzed overhead barely moving the heat around, your palms sweaty beneath your clothes.
“i forgot it at home..” you tried again.
the cashier slid the cigarettes back toward himself without even blinking. “then ya can buy ‘em tomorrow.”
you stared at the pack like maybe you could will it across the counter. your mouth parted for one final sad attempt to get what you wanted-
“-ill get ‘em.”
low and rough around the edges like an old dog asking to be pet.
you turned, he looked older by a few years maybe but not old enough to sound that tired. tall with broad shoulders under a gray T-shirt gone thin with wear. there was a bruise blooming dark along his jaw like spilled ink- a message everyone can read. another disappeared beneath the collar of his shirt. his knuckles were split raw and far from soft.
he looked beat to hell but his eyes were green. kind somehow like he’d learned how to be gentle in spite of everything else.
the cashier sighed like this happened every night of his miserable life as you stood confused.
“you buying anything else, dean?”
dean.
“..nah.”
he tossed a few bills onto the counter- some stained with red. “just those.”
mama’ always said strange boys were just trouble wearing pretty faces but there was something about him that didn’t feel dangerous. more like abandoned.
he handed you the cigarettes outside beneath the dying neon glow of the PETROL sign.
“..thanks for that.” you muttered.
“dont mention it.”
his voice carried that lazy southern drawl that proved he was an outsider or just passing through. exhaustion tucked under his eyes like shadows- collarbones narrow beneath his shirt like he’d been malnourished growing up.
“are you okay?” you asked before you could stop yourself. dean just blinked, almost surprised that somebody noticed his diamond scars.
“yeah.” he said automatically, practiced. you know because you do the same thing.
you gave him a look.
he huffed a chuckle through his nose. “…long week, sweetheart.”
the pavement outside the store still held the day’s heat yet you both sat on the curb anyway, shoulders almost touching while trucks hissed down the highway to the angels and fuselage.
he lit your cigarette first.
the flame from his lighter illuminated his face- all sharp cheekbones, tired eyes and freckles, mouth set like he expected bad news before it was going to arrive.
you both must look crazy sitting here. two teenagers smoking cigarettes like they’re in a race to grow up. one covered in scars and the other too sweet for good.
“you from around here?” he asked.
“yeah, unfortunately...”
that earned you a real smile- it almost changed his whole face, made him look younger. normal. prettier too if that was even possible.
dean tapped ash onto the pavement and glanced at you sideways with a subtle smirk before holding out his rough hand to your softness.
“i’m dean.”
you took his hand, shaking it between your clasp with a cigarette dangling between your lips- telling him your name.
three months later you and dean are practically connected at the hip. everywhere you go he goes- wether its sneaking into your bedroom window late at night with his last ‘lucky cigarette’ or grocery shopping with your last twenty note.
but you wouldn’t have it any other way. somehow dean made ugly places softer. even this town. even you.
your favourite spot sat past the abandoned motel off Route nine where the old sign leaned sideways like it was tired of standing. Half the letters had fallen off years ago.
the trail behind it cut through tall grass and nettles, winding uphill beneath the power lines. dean always walked ahead of you with his hands shoved in his jacket pockets kicking rocks out of the dirt while he talked absolute nonsense.
“you know..” he said now serious as a preacher “Baby’s definitely a pussy magnet.”
you snorted. “nobody says that anymore, d.”
“they should.”
“you sound eighty years old.”
dean grinned over his shoulder, sunlight catching the gold hidden in his green eyes. “you saying the Impala doesn’t attract women?”
“it attracts divorced dads and men named Rick.”
“ouch” he breathed dramatically. “thats cold.”
truth was the car did attract women. older women at gas stations smiled at him too long. waitresses tucked napkins with their numbers into his pockets. girls around your age stared openly whenever he rolled into town with one arm hanging out the driver’s side window and old rock music rattling the speakers.
sometimes it made something ugly and overwhelming twist low in your stomach. jealousy maybe but dean could never know that.
the trail opened into the field at the top of the hill, tall grass swaying silver green beneath the endless stretch of power lines overhead. a willow tree stood in the middle like something forgotten by god himself- long branches trailing toward the earth lonely and beautiful.
you both collapsed beneath it like you always did. dean landed beside you with a grunt, dirt stuck to the both of you. the grass smelled warm from the sun and above you clouds drifted slow and heavy across the pale sky.
for a while neither of you spoke. that wasn’t unusual- sometimes you’d both come up here just to get away without saying anything to each other yet still knowing. dean had become the kind of silence that felt safe.
your turned your head toward him eventually, his hands were folded over his stomach but one of them kept twitching.
he’s nervous.
“whats up, d?”
he didn’t answer right away, jawline turning to look anywhere but you before swallowing.
“..dad found a job.”
you frowned with eyebrows. “..okay?”
“…in california. dad wants to leave tonight.”
something inside you locked up watching dean staring away with his jaw tight. the words didn’t feel real at first. they floated above you uselessly like radio static that hadn’t settled into meaning yet.
you pushed myself up onto one elbow too quickly. “w-what do you mean tonight?”
when dean finally looked at you- you saw it.
that same exhaustion the night you met outside the gas station. the look of somebody already halfway gone before they leave.
“he doesn’t stay places long..” dean said quietly. “you know that.”
everyone knew there was something strange about dean- the winchesters. they blew into town like storms and disappeared just as fast. no school records. no explanations. just motel rooms and fake smiles and bruises dean never talked about.
still three months felt too short. you thought there would be more time.
“oh.” you said softly.
dean sat up then with a guilty look, forearms resting on his knees. “i tried talking to him. tried getting him to wait a few days.” he laughed once under his breath. “didn’t exactly go great.”
you had noticed the fresh bruise near his wrist earlier, your chest tightening. you knew it was bad- but not this bad.
“dean-“
“he says we leave in an hour.”
you stared at him then trying desperately to memorize everything at once. the curve of his nose. the scrape on his chin. the way sunlight caught in his lashes and showed off his freckles.
he looked scared.
“you could stay-“ you whispered before you could stop yourself.
he looked at you so fast it hurt.
“we can run away- move to the city and get a job. an apartment.. lets just forget about this okay?-“ you began to babble planning the puzzle in your head.
for one terrible second you thought he might say yes. instead his expression cracked open around the edges.
“i cant.”
you looked away before your face gave you up completely. dean spoke quieter then.
“you know..” he said carefully, “..i never used to think about staying anywhere. but then I met you.”
your throat burned and deans eyes softened looking at you the way he did the first time you met.
“i love you.” dean said. simple as that. no joke afterward. no smirk to soften it. just honest.
your heart hit so hard against your ribs it hurt because you loved him too. completely. in the quiet awful way people love things they already know they’re going to lose.
he reached for you slowly like he thought you might disappear. the second his hand touched your face you broke.
“i-i love you too.” you sobbed.
dean sighed like the admission took some of the weight from his shoulders, then he kissed you.
soft at first like one wrong move will make you shatter like glass. his hand cupped your jaw while yours tangled in the front of his shirt and suddenly every cigarette shared beneath neon lights, every late-night drive, every stupid joke and lingering glance crashed into this moment.
dean kissed like he was starving- like if he didn’t pull back maybe they’d let him stay.
when you finally pulled apart dean tucked you under his arm, laying your head on his shoulder.
“I don’t wanna go.” he admitted quietly.
you almost wished he never said it- because you couldn’t do anything to help him. to save him.
“..i know, dean.”

not evil. not wrong. not even slightly off in the easy, merciful way you need one of them to be.
they both stand under the flickering motel sign with dean’s face, dean’s blood on their knuckles, dean’s green eyes fixed on you like you are the only solid thing left in the whole ruined parking lot. rain dots the windshield of the impala behind them. somewhere far off, a dog won’t stop barking.

Two weeks later after your study session, Leon Kennedy passes his psychology exam by three miserable points.
“You passed?” you repeat slowly over the phone while sitting cross-legged on your dorm bed with notebooks and pens scattered around.
“Comfortably.” leon remarks.
“You got a seventy-three… that doesn’t seem very comfortable..”
“A pass is a pass.” You can hear shouting behind him already, music thumping through the speakers. He must be celebrating.
“What’s happening over there?”
“Pool party.” Leon says easily. “Starts this afternoon. Goes all night. You’re coming.”
You lean back on your bed slowly looking up at the ceiling. “Leon-“
“No excuses.” he interrupts immediately. “You’re literally the reason i didn’t fail.”
“That feels academically dishonest.” you mumble.
“It feels romantic.”
You snort a laugh, lower belly filling with butterflies from his words.
“will you come?” leon asks softer, his voice low like he doesn’t want anyone else to hear.
“Yeah. sure.” you whisper back teasingly, hearing leon scramble around in his kitchen.
“oh, and bring Claire.” he adds. “I need a witness when I publicly dedicate my success to you.”
By sunset the frat house looks insane.
Music pounds loud enough to shake the windows, colored lights strung around the backyard while half the campus crowds around the pool with drinks in hand. Someone’s already doing backflips off the roof into the deep end which honestly feels medically concerning.
“This feels illegal.” claire says pulling her sunglasses down to rest on her nose.
“It probably is.”
“You know what?” she says thoughtfully as somebody nearly falls off the roof holding a beer bong. “I actually feel better about my own life choices now.”
You laugh quietly, scanning the backyard automatically and immediately find Leon. its almost like your brain’s developed a problem, looking for him first everywhere you go.
He’s standing near the pool in black swim trunks and no shirt, toned abs and sharp v line damp already like somebody shoved him in earlier. The second he sees you his entire face changes to that stupid soft smile.
“There’s our scholar!” someone yells as Leon walks over but he ignores them completely, his entire focus on you. His eyes drag slowly over your swimsuit and for a second it looks like he genuinely forgot how to speak.
“You look…” He exhales once through his nose. “Jesus.”
Heat rushes to your face. “Hi to you too.”
Claire gags loudly. “I need alcohol immediately.” she watches the interaction carefully beside you like she’s still waiting for him to reveal himself as a manipulative supervillain. Instead Leon points toward the coolers near the patio.
“Claire.”
She narrows her eyes. “Kennedy.”
“There’s malibu in the blue cooler before Luis drinks all of it.”
“…You remembered what I drink?”
Leon shrugs. “You yell at me a lot. Makes you memorable.”
Claire opens her mouth then shuts it like she wants to say ‘thank you’ but knowing her ego, she wont.
“…That was almost nice.” she says flatly.
“Don’t spread it around.”
You hide your laugh against your hand as Claire walks off muttering something about “confusingly decent men.”
Leon watches her leave before leaning closer to you slightly.
“I think she hates me less.”
“She tolerates you now.”
“Progress.”
The pool water glows blue beneath the lights as people crowd around the edges dancing badly, the smell of weed and booze filling your senses. Somewhere behind you someone starts chanting for a cannonball competition.
You glance toward the water. “so.. are you actually going swimming or are you just hosting?”
Leon smirks slowly. “You challenging me?”
Before you can answer he grabs your waist suddenly and throws you over his shoulder.
You shriek immediately, legs kicking out in the open air. “LEON—”
He’s laughing full-on now as he carries you toward the pool.
“Oh my god put me DOWN—”
“Too late.”
“leon! i swear to god!-“
Then water crashes around you both and you come up sputtering and gasping while people around the pool cheer obnoxiously.
“You asshole!” you yell with a laugh, throwing your now wet hair over your shoulder. Leon surfaces beside you laughing so hard he can barely breathe.
“You should’ve seen your face—”
You splash water directly into his face.
The pools warm from the heat outside, music echoing across the backyard while lights shimmer against the surface around you. Leon pushes wet blonde hair back from his forehead, still grinning at you like he can’t help it.
He drifts closer in the water until his hands settle loosely against your waist beneath the surface, his chest inches away from yours.
You having fun yet, sweetheart?”
“…Maybe a little.” you reply even though you are having a lot of fun.
“Damn.” he says softly. “I’m winning you over.”
Claire eventually joins you both after enough alcohol and peer pressure, though she spends the first five minutes threatening violence if Leon splashes her.
He does anyway. She nearly drowns him for it.
But by the end of it Claire’s sitting beside him at the shallow end arguing about basketball while he laughs at her dramatic hand gestures.
Traitor.
You drift farther toward the middle of the pool, lying on your back and watching the sky turn dark, the party slowly quiet down. Its freeing being surrounded with the people you love. No more tests. No more studying for awhile.
The music feels muffled underwater. The lights around the yard blur gold against the darkening sky.
Later when the air turns colder and people start moving inside, you sit beside leon at the edge of the pool with your feet dangling in the water.
“You know,” he says eventually looking down. “I probably still would’ve passed without you.”
You stare at him flatly. “Liar.”
“Okay…” he admits. “I definitely would’ve failed.”
“That’s what I thought.”
“I’m glad you came over that night.” he says quietly, so quietly you almost dont catch it. but you do.
“…Yeah?”
“yeah.”
Leon’s hand brushes yours before slowly intertwining your fingers together like he’s testing whether you’ll pull away, you dont.
you knew Claire was wrong about him. everyone else just never looked long enough to see past the act.
The pool lights cast blue reflections across his face, softening the sharpness of his features. His hair’s still damp from swimming earlier, hair falling slightly into his eyes.
You really want to kiss him again.
His shoulders straighten slightly, eyes darkening just enough to make heat crawl up your neck. “You keep doing that.” he mumbles.
“Doing what?”
“Looking at me like that.”
“You’re very confident.” you whisper.
“Not confident.” he says softly. “Hopeful.”
And god that does something to you, knowing leon’s as desperate for you as you are for him.
You don’t let yourself think after that. You grab his shoulders and pull him down into a kiss.
Leon makes a quiet surprised sound against your mouth before kissing you back immediately. Like he’s been waiting for it.
His hand slides to your waist fast, fingers tightening there as the kiss deepens. Warm and dizzying and nothing like the rushed chaos of the closet at the party. This is different.
Leon exhales sharply through his nose, thumb brushing against your side beneath the thin fabric of your cover-up.
“Jesus.” he murmurs against your lips.
You barely have time to breathe before he kisses you again. Your fingers slide into his damp hair instinctively and Leon reacts by pulling you closer against him with a quiet groan.
“You have no idea..” he says quietly smirking. “how long I’ve wanted to do that properly.”
“You kissed me first.” you mumble weakly.
“In a closet” he points out. “Very different environment.”
His eyes flick between yours before glancing toward the house. Then back to you.
That look alone nearly ruins you.
“You wanna go somewhere quieter?” he asks.
The question hangs in the air because you know exactly what he means, and you want it too.
“y-yeah.”
The bass from the party downstairs thumps through the floorboards, a dull rhythmic heartbeat that vibrates up through your palms as you brace yourself on Leon’s mattress.
The door is locked- you made sure of that when he pulled you inside, his lips already on your neck, his hands already fumbling with the buttons on your jeans muttering “i need you now..” and “i cant wait any longer.”
You’re naked now, both of you. The dim light from a single desk lamp casts long shadows across his torso, highlighting the lean muscles in his shoulders, the slight happy trail that disappears beneath his shorts- which are already kicked off somewhere on the floor.
His hands grip your bare hips, watching you with half-lidded eyes that gleam with a mix of hunger and lazy confidence. His cock stands hard and thick against his stomach flushed and already glistening at the tip.
“Come here..” he murmurs voice rough from shouting over the music downstairs.
You hesitate, mouth opening and closing shut with pink flushed cheeks watching as leons eyes scan your whole body.
He hands curl around your wrist and tug you forward until you’re straddling his chest. His breath hitches when you lower yourself, your knees sliding against the sheets as you position yourself over his face.
He guides you down slow until his mouth is inches from your cunt. The warmth of his breath ghosts over your folds and you shudder, already slick and aching for him.
“mmmf- leon..”
“Lean forward..” he mutters with a grin in his voice. You obey bracing your hands on his thighs, your face hovering over his erection. The tip of his cock brushes your cheek, hot and velvet-soft. You take him in your hand stroking once, twice, feeling the pulse beneath the skin, the way he tenses when you squeeze.
Then his tongue touches you.
It’s a flat wet stroke from your entrance to your clit, slow and deliberate, tasting you. A moan escapes your lips muffled against his thigh. He does it again and again each pass firmer, more insistent, until your hips are rocking back against his mouth of their own accord. He hums against you- a low appreciative sound.
“Tastes so fuckin good’ baby.. s’ sweet..”
you answer by taking the head of his cock into your mouth. He’s salty and warm on your tongue. You swirl around the tip, tasting the pre-cum that beads there and his grip on your hips tightens.
“Fuck-..” he breathes, the word hot against your folds. His hips twitch pressing himself deeper into your mouth but he doesn’t thrust. He lets you set the pace, lets you take him inch by inch while his mouth works you with practiced skill.
Your cheeks burn as you suck his cock, thinking about what your doing and how good it feels.
His tongue circles your clit, flicks it then presses flat again. He sucks gently drawing the sensitive nub between his lips and your knees buckle. You have to pause, pull your mouth off his cock with a wet pop to gasp for air. “f-fuck… mhmf.. leon-“
“Don’t stop.” he says, his voice muffled but commanding. He pushes your hips down harder burying his face between your thigh and the pressure of his nose against your clit, his tongue fucking into your entrance makes you cry out.
You grip his cock again stroking him as you take him back into your mouth, deeper this time until the head hits the back of your throat.
He groans long and low, the sound muffled by your flesh. His tongue thrusts into you, curling tasting and fucking you while your mouth works his shaft.
You set a rhythm- suck, swallow and breathe, coordinated with the roll of your hips against his face.
The party downstairs is a distant hum, the bass a throb that syncs with your heartbeat and the pulse of his cock on your tongue.
Sweat slicks your skin. His hands slide from your hips to your ass kneading and spreading, his fingers teasing the edges of your hole. One finger presses against your entrance slick with your own wetness and you moan around his cock. He pushes in, only the tip and you clench around him while your mouth mirrors the motion on his shaft.
“y’ like sucking my cock baby, huh?” He groans and you whine, pussy clenching around his digit.
His finger sinks deeper, curling and hitting that spot that makes your vision blur. His mouth latches onto your clit sucking hard, his tongue flickering in rapid strokes.your orgasm builds sharp and bright and you cry out against his cock as you cum your body shuddering with your thighs clamping around his head.
He licks the slick greedily moaning against your clit, his own hips bucking as you milk him with your throat.
When the waves subside you lift your head gasping, drool and pre-cum stringing from your lips to the tip of his cock. He’s still hard and throbbing as his eyes meet yours from between your legs. He grins, lips and chin still covered in your juices.
Leon manhandles you back and you laugh, his lips meeting yours softly as he tucks you under his arm, flushed cheek smushed against his chest.
“… was that okay?” Leon mutters looking into your eyes, his pupils blown wide with lust and something else.
You nod curling your arms around his torso to pull him closer. The music still beats low below you both, the room smelling like sex and filled with heavy pants from the both of you.
As you both lay looking up at the ceiling holding eachother, you know.
your completely in love with him.
dang it they are so cute i hope nothing bad happens..

Being a straight A+ student has its perks. Good opportunities promising a bright future ahead- just like you’ve always wanted. Something to reach for and look forward to decided by the letter on a single piece of paper.
Lately you’ve been stressed, huddled in your shared apartment on campus wearing the same clothes with dark circles under your eyes. psychology’s been kicking you in the ass so the last few days have been glued to your laptop, writing and typing until your joins cramp up.
Your front door slams shut making you jump. claire- your roommate, slips off her boots with a huff, swinging her bag onto the floor with a bang. someones had a bad day too.
“Jesus it’s depressing in here.” she mumbles.
“I didn’t realize you were the sunlight police” you mutter, eyes glued to the screen.
Claire snorts toeing her boots into the corner before padding further into the apartment. “No but seriously..” she pauses, glancing around at the dim lighting, the half-empty mugs, the open tabs crowding your screen, “..it smells like academic despair in here.”
You finally turn your head shooting her a tired look. “That’s because it is. I have a paper due in..” you check the time on your laptop, brain lagging, “six hours.”
“And you’ve been working on it for…?”
“Don’t ask questions you already know the answer to.”
Claire hums unimpressed. She disappears into her room for a second, then comes back out already pulling her hair up into a loose ponytail, energy completely mismatched with yours. “Okay well, congratulations. You’re officially at the point where your brain is mush and nothing you write is going to be good anyway.”
You scoff. “Wow thanks.” ouch.
“That is exactly how burnout works.” She leans against the back of the couch, watching you with narrowed eyes. “When was the last time you slept?”
You hesitate.
Claire raises her eyebrows. “Exactly.”
You sigh, rubbing at your eyes. “I don’t have time to go out Claire.. Hey!-“
“Nope.” She plants a hand on of your laptop, shutting it firm. “You’re done. Temporary shutdown. Brain reboot.”
“I will actually fail if I don’t finish that.”
“you will if you dont stop spiraling and take like three hours to be a human being.”
You push back in your chair, exhaling sharply. “Claire.”
She straightens up, suddenly more serious. “Look I know you. You don’t ‘take breaks.’ You just… deteriorate slowly while insisting you’re fine, So I’m intervening.”
You stare at her, too tired to come up with a proper argument. shes right.
“There’s a frat party tonight” she continues softer now, like she’s trying a different angle. “Nothing crazy. Just music, people, free drinks you won’t even finish because you’re too responsible.” A small smirk tugs at her lips. “You don’t even have to stay long. An hour. Two max.”
“I don’t even know anyone there…”
“You know me.”
“That’s not the same.”
“It’s enough.” She nudges your shoulder lightly. “Come on. You’ve been cooped up in here for days. Your world has shrunk to this stupid screen and APA citations.”
You glance at your closed laptop, then at the mess around you. The same hoodie you’ve been wearing. The stale air. The way your head feels heavy like it’s packed with cotton.
“I don’t have anything to wear..” you try, weaker now.
Claire’s grin turns triumphant. “Oh that’s not even a real excuse. You have me.”
“That’s exactly why I’m concerned.”
“Wow. Rude.” She presses a hand to her chest dramatically, then grabs your wrist, tugging you up from the chair. “Come on. Just try. If you hate it, we leave. I’ll even buy you greasy post-party food as compensation.”
You let yourself be pulled halfway to your room before digging your heels in slightly. “One hour.”
“Two.”
You hesitate, then sigh. “If my GPA drops I’m blaming you.”
She beams. “If your GPA drops I’ll personally write your apology letter to your future self.”
“Trust me.” Claire says over her shoulder, already rifling through your closet like she owns it. “You’ve got nothing to lose tonight.”
By the time Claire finally approves your outfit, you’re ninety percent sure she missed her calling as a dictator.
“You look hot.” she says simply, shoving a jacket into your hands before you can complain again.
“i look sleep deprived.”
“Hot and sleep deprived. Very iconic.”
The walk across campus is cold enough to wake you up a little. Music already echoes down the street long before the frat house comes into view—bass thudding through the pavement, laughter spilling out onto the lawn in waves. The place is packed, windows glowing gold against the dark. You expected a small party.. not project x style.
You immediately want to turn around.
“There are so many people.”
“And none of them care what you’re doing, promise.” She loops her arm through yours and drags you toward the front door before your anxiety can root you to the sidewalk.
The second you step inside, it hits you all at once. Heat. Noise. The sharp smell of alcohol mixed with cheap cologne and something sugary. Bodies shoulder-to-shoulder in the living room, music loud enough to feel inside your ribs.
Someone nearly crashes into you with a red cup and claire laughs at your expression.
Claire laughs at your expression. “See? Fun.”
She pulls you deeper into the house, weaving through groups of people shouting over the music. Every room somehow has more people than the last. A couple is making out against the hallway wall. Someone’s standing on the kitchen counter. You’re pretty sure there’s mistletoe on the ceiling even though its may.
Claire disappears briefly to greet people she apparently knows, leaving you awkwardly hovering near the kitchen entrance.
“You look painfully out of place.”
You glance up And immediately understand why half the campus loses their minds over Leon Kennedy.
He’s leaning against the kitchen counter like he owns the place, which honestly he practically does. Dark tank top, jeans and messy blonde hair. Popular frat boy. Criminal justice major. Somehow good grades despite being hungover half the time.
“…Oh” you say intelligently.
A girl squeezes past him to grab drinks from the counter, brushing against his shoulder on purpose. Leon barely glances at her. his attention fully focused on you.
“So..” he trails off “you hiding in my kitchen or you actually gonna have fun tonight?”
“Your kitchen?”
“Basically.” He shrugs, reaching behind him for a plastic cup. “what’re you drinking?”
“I’m okay-“
Leon laughs softly at that, pouring vodka anyway. “Trust me sweetheart, one drink and this place gets way more tolerable.”
“You poison all the girls at your parties personally?” you ask, watching as he pours god knows what and mixes it.
“Nah.” He slides the cup toward you, grin sharpening. “Only the pretty ones.”
pretty.
You stare at him for a second. “Was that line rehearsed?”
“Maybe.” He takes a sip from his own cup without breaking eye contact. “Did it work?”
Unfortunately, a little but You hide it by taking a drink wincing at the strong taste.
“So what’s your deal?” he asks finally. “You don’t really seem party material.”
You lean against the counter a little, pushing the drink away as leon dabs up a guy before turning back to you. “Maybe I’m expanding my horizons.”
“Because of claire?”
“You know claire?”
“Yeah, we go back. she’s chill.”
“oh- cool. but yeah.. because of claire.
apparently I looked academically depressed.”
just as leon opens his mouth, somebody shouts your name over the music and speak of the devil- its claire.
you’re halfway through your drink and leaning against the kitchen counter beside Leon like it’s the most natural thing in the world as she makes her way to you through the crowd.
“Well, this is interesting.” she smiles.
Leon just grins. “Claire.”
“Leon. i hope you know she’s off limits, by the way.” she shoots warningly.
“Know a lotta things.”
“Yeah, I’m sure you do.” she says dryly before looking at you with unmistakable suspicion. “And you!” she points accusingly “-were supposedly too stressed to function an hour ago.”
“I still am.”
Leon pushes off the counter. “We’re heading upstairs. You two coming?”
Claire immediately answers for both of you. “Absolutely.” and throwing you a ‘trust me’ look.
Before you know it you’re being swept into another room upstairs crowded with people sitting in a loose circle on the floor. Empty cups and liquor bottles litter the carpet. Someone’s yelling over the music about rules while another person dramatically spins a half empty bottle across the center of the room.
“Oh my god” you mutter. “Are we seriously playing spin the bottle?”
Claire drops onto the floor beside a girl she recognizes. jackie? jill? “College tradition.”
“This is humiliating.”
Leon sits down beside you before anyone else can, close enough that his knee bumps yours, manspreading with one hand behind his back, another holding his drink.
People cheer, laugh and complain dramatically when they get matched together. Some kisses are quick and awkward. Others definitely last longer than the game requires. You’re having fun for once and not thinking about tests or grades.
You keep hoping the bottle won’t land on you.
but with your luck of course it does. so you spin again watching the bottle get slower and slower until stopping directly in front of Leon.
Leon leans back on one hand, completely unbothered. If anything, he looks entertained.
Your face feels hot.
Someone across the circle points toward the hallway. “Closet. Seven minutes.”
“seriously?” Leon laughs. yeah, seriously?
“You scared?” another guy calls and leons face drops, throwing his drink away before standing up. someone doesn’t like to lose.
His fingers close around yours easily, warm and confident as he pulls you up off the floor dragging you into the closet without a word.
The closet door clicks shut, plunging you both into darkness so complete you can't see your own hand in front of your face. The only light is a thin sliver of gold bleeding under the door frame, just enough to catch the outline of Leon's broad shoulders as he presses you back against a wall of coats.
The muffled bass of the party thumps through the walls. Somewhere outside, someone's laughing. They're counting down the minutes, but you don't give a shit about that right now.
warm breathe fans over your cheeks, the smell of cologne and alcohol mixed with leons broad frame caging your senses.
“….Leon?” you mumble.
“..yeah?”
“… are you going to kiss me?”
a pause. silence besides the muffled music you catch his eyes in the dim light glued to your lips.
“…do you want me to?”
Thats the question, do you want to? you have everything to lose, high grades. being a good student. and leon has nothing.
“…yes.”
Leon's hands find your waist, his fingers digging into the fabric of your top with the kind of desperate, sloppy grip that tells you he's been wanting you all night. His breath ghosts across your neck, hot and quick, before his mouth crashes into yours.
He groans against you, one hand sliding up your side to palm your breast through your top, squeezing hard enough to make you gasp. His thumb finds your nipple and rolls it through the fabric, back and forth, back and forth, until you're arching into his touch, a whimper escaping into his mouth.
"The hell you doing to me..” he mutters, half-breathless, pulling back just enough to look at you. Even in the dark you can feel the heat of his stare. His hand drops from your chest to the button of your jeans, working it open with practiced speed.
You don't bother telling him to slow down. There's no time. Seven minutes. And judging by the thick outline straining against the front of his jeans, he's not planning to waste a second.
He hauls you around and pushes you face-first into the coats but you don't care because his hands are yanking your jeans down, your underwear with them, exposing your ass to the cool air of the closet.
"Spread your legs.” he orders and you do, widening your stance as he kneels behind you. His fingers find your cunt immediately, sliding through the wetness that's already gathered there.
"Fucking soaked already..”
Two fingers push inside you without warning, and you cry out, muffling the sound by biting into your arm. He pumps them in and out, curling them against that spot inside you that makes your knees go weak, until you're trembling and pushing back against his hand.
"Please..” you gasp. "Leon, just put it in."
He pulls his fingers out and lines himself up. The head of his cock presses against your entrance not pushing in, just resting there making you wait. You can feel him throbbing against your slick skin.
"You sure?" He asks, but there's a smirk in his voice.
To answer, you shove your hips back and he slides into you in one smooth, thick inch. Your breath catches. He's bigger than you expected, stretching you open, filling you completely.
"Fuck, yeah.” he breathes, gripping your hips as he bottoms out. "Taking me so good."
He starts moving. Slow at first, deep, grinding thrusts that have you clutching at the coats, trying to find purchase. But the slow drag isn't enough. You need it harder, faster.
"More.” you demand, your voice ragged.
He gives you more. He pulls out almost all the way and slams back in, the sound of skin slapping skin echoing in the small space. His balls hit your clit with every thrust and you moan, a series of broken breathless sounds that you don't bother to muffle.
Besides the sound of leon groaning into your ear and his balls slapping against your pussy you can hear mostly everyones disappeared outside.
"Gonna cum..” he grunts, his rhythm faltering. "Where-“
“Inside” you gasp. "Cum inside me."
He slams into you one last time and you feel it. the hot pulsing rush of his release filling you, dripping down your thighs as he keeps thrusting through it, riding out the aftershocks. Your own orgasm crests, triggered by the feeling of him coming undone inside you and you shatter clenching around him, a guttural cry tearing from your throat.
For a moment there's only heavy breathing and the scent of sex and sweat, muffled bass filling the tension.
Leon pulls out slowly, and you feel the warmth of his cum trickling down you. zipping his jeans, You pull up your own underwear and bottoms clumsily, your hands still shaking. The door opens spilling light into the closet as leon steps out first.
He grunts seeing the room empty as you follow behind him.
“…i should probably go find claire…” you mumble awkwardly, cheeks on fire under the dim lights.
Leon nods. “yeah. cool. see you around.”
with one last nod your practically running downstairs, pushing past people until you find claire dancing with a dark haired dude. You tug her shoulder, yelling to her over the music.
“I just had sex with leon.”
“WHAT?” she yells over the music.
“….yeah…” you cheese.
claire huffs. “shit.”

summary: part one here after your ‘accidental’ one night stand with fratboy! leon you learn he’s failing class. what better way to help him with a study (date?) at his house!
The next morning feels like punishment. Your head throbs faintly as you drag yourself across campus with an overpriced coffee clenched in your hand. The sunlight is too bright, your psychology paper still isn’t finished and every time you think about last night your stomach does something deeply irritating.
Claire walks beside you wearing sunglasses and absolutely no shame.
“You survived.” she says cheerfully.
“Barely.”
“You and Kennedy disappearing into a closet definitely revived you a little though.”
You nearly trip on the sidewalk. “it was a heat of the moment kinda thing..”
Claire lowers her sunglasses just enough to give you a look. “im sure it was.”
Heat creeps into your face thinking about Leon leaning in so close you could feel his breath while the entire party screamed outside the door, him fucking you against the wall.
“Can we not do this before class?”
“Nope.”
You groan shoving open the lecture hall door and throwing claire the finger before she can interrogate you further. The room buzzes with tired students unpacking laptops and notebooks. You slide into your usual seat near the middle, taking out your own supplies before you freeze.
Two rows down. Messy blond hair. Dark hoodie. Head tipped back against the chair like he got maybe three hours of sleep..
like he knows your looking, leon glances over and smiles. smug asshole.
“Well..” Claire mutters beside you. “You are so screwed.”
“Shut up.”
“No seriously I physically felt the tension.”
Before you can answer the professor starts talking, effectively ending the conversation. Unfortunately that doesn’t stop you from being hyperaware of Leon the entire lecture.
you learn he’s terrible at taking notes.
Half the time he’s tapping his pen against the desk or staring into space instead of listening. At one point he catches you looking at his nearly blank page and mouths ‘help me.’
You snort quietly before you can stop yourself.
By the end of class students start packing up around you. You’re stuffing your laptop away when a shadow falls across your desk.
“You’re judging my academic abilities.”
You blink at him. “Your notes literally say ‘something something Freud.’”
“In my defense..” he says seriously “that guy was weird.”
Up close this morning, he looks unfairly good considering the amount he drank last night. A little tired maybe, hair messier than usual but still irritatingly attractive.
Claire notices him immediately and narrows her eyes.
“No.”
Leon looks amused already. “Didn’t ask anything yet.”
“You were about to.”
He grins. “Maybe.”
You glance between them. “What is happening?”
Claire turns to you fully. “Do not help this man. i mean it. this is what he does.”
“what?”
“Acts charming, flirts with girls in class, gets them to ‘help’ him study!-“
“Okay,” Leon interrupts laughing now. “You’re making me sound evil.”
Claire ignores him completely. “And then suddenly they’re doing his assignments while he looks pretty and says thank you.”
Leon nods thoughtfully. “To be fair, I do say thank you.”
Claire groans. “See? This is how he gets people.”
Leon turns back toward you, completely unfazed. “So anyway, before I was attacked-“
“You deserve it.”
“—I was gonna ask if you’re actually good at psych or if you just look like you are.”
You hesitate before glancing down at his notebook again. It really is almost empty. but is claire telling the truth? is he just trying to get in your pants again?
“You seriously don’t understand any of this?”
“I understand like…” He squints slightly. “Twenty percent.”
“That’s generous.” Claire mutters.
Leon ignores her. “C’mon. Help me out.”
Blue eyes looking up at yours pleadingly, shaggy blonde hair and soft features hardened, it’s almost impossible to say no.
“…Fine.” you hear yourself say. “But-“ you add quickly, “I’m not doing your work for you.”
“Come over tonight.” he says easily. “We’ll study at the house.”
“The frat house?” you ask.
“you scared?” he teases smugly.
“of catching crabs? maybe.”
“I promise we are actually clean.” He reaches over tapping two fingers lightly against your notebook. “Seven?”
“….sure.”
By seven o’clock, you’re already regretting your decision. Not because you don’t want to see Leon.
That’s the problem.
You do want to see Leon, which is exactly why Claire spent twenty straight minutes warning you before you left the apartment.
“Remember.” she said while pointing a makeup brush at you aggressively, “don’t let him in your pants again.
“He just needs help studying.”
Claire stared at you for a full five seconds. “You cannot actually believe that.”
Now, standing outside the frat house again with your bag slung over your shoulder, you’re starting to think maybe she had a point. Music already pulses through the walls despite it being a weekday. Laughter erupts somewhere inside followed by someone yelling “CHUG IT” at the top of their lungs.
No wonder he cant focus.
You text Leon: i’m here and the front door swings open less than thirty seconds later.
Leon leans against the frame in gray sweats and a black t-shirt, hair damp like he just showered. you want to run your fingers through it.
“Hey, sweetheart.”
“Hi.”
His eyes flick over you quickly- not subtle at all before he steps aside to let you in. “C’mere.”
The house is less chaotic than the party but only barely. Groups of guys are scattered around the living room yelling at a basketball game on TV. empty bottles scattered on the floor from last night, graffiti on the walls and holes in the floor. perfect.
A few heads turn when you walk in behind Leon.
One guy whistles immediately. “No way. Kennedy brought a senorita here to study?”
Leon flips him off without looking. “Shut the fuck up, luis.”
“You’re changing man.”
“Tragic.” Leon replies dryly and you try not to laugh as he leads you upstairs.
His room suprises you. It’s messy sure, hoodies tossed over a chair, papers scattered across the desk but not disgusting like you expected. A navy and brown jacket hung up on the wall, band posters and pictures of his friends too. one of the polaroids catches your attention, leon posed with a short black haired girl but you soon forget about it when you see the closet leon took you in during the party, thighs clenching together to distract yourself.
“You can sit.” Leon says, tossing a notebook onto the desk before dropping onto his bed.
“There’s one chair.”
“Yeah, and I offered it nicely.”
You roll your eyes but sit anyway, pulling out your laptop and notes. Leon watches you for a second with an amused expression.
“What?”
“You’re really taking this seriously.”
“You’re failing.”
“I’m passing.”
“yeah, thanks to me.”
“Still counts.”
Before you can answer loud shouting explodes from somewhere down the hall followed by aggressive pounding against a wall. Leon barely reacts like its a daily occurrence.
“Ignore them.”
“Is someone dying?”
“Nah, carlos probably lost a bet.”
Another roar of laughter echoes through the hallway.
You stare at the ceiling. “How do you live here?”
Leon laughs quietly, stretching out across the bed while you start explaining the lecture material. Surprisingly he actually listens. Sort of. for about ten minutes. Then he starts spinning a pen between his fingers instead of taking notes.
“Leon.”
“I’m listening.”
“You’re staring at me.”
“That too.”
Heat creeps into your cheeks.
“You’re impossible.”
“You like me anyway.”
“That’s incredibly confident.”
His grin turns lazy. “Am I wrong?”
The yelling only gets louder and at this point, concentrating is impossible. Leon watches you attempt to keep reading your notes for another minute before snorting softly.
“Alright, professor.” He stands up. “Break time.”
“We’ve barely studied.”
“And yet I already feel smarter.” he throws back with a shrug.
rolling your eyes, you throw the books shut on the bed watching leon cross to the window, reaching into the desk drawer.
seriously?
“Leon.”
“What?”
“Thats weed.”
He glances back innocently already rolling a joint between his fingers. “Very observant.”
“You smoke during studying?”
“I smoke during most activities.”
“That explains a lot actually.”
He laughs under his breath before holding it up slightly. “You want some?”
“i thought you said you wouldn’t corrupt me.” you hesitate.
“i’m sure you’ll be fine.”
You’ve never smoked before but Leon takes it back like he has been for years, smoke curdling around him before drifting out the window.
After the week you’ve had the idea sounds a little too appealing and Leon can tell.
“There she is.” he murmurs. “Knew you weren’t as innocent as you pretend to be.”
“I do not pretend to be innocent.”
“Mhm.”
You narrow your eyes at him. “You’re annoying.”
Leon opens Spotify on his phone, music replacing the chaos outside as he settles beside you near the open window. Close enough that your knees brush.
The room fills slowly with smoke and low beats and the warm buzz of being tired around someone unexpectedly easy to exist with.
“You know..” Leon says after a moment, watching smoke curl toward the ceiling, “you’re a lot more fun outside class.”
“Oh? And what am I like in class?”
“nerdy.” He nudges your foot lightly with his. “Hot, but nerdy.”
You laugh, leaning back against the side of his bed. The tension from the week, the stress, the exhaustion, the constant pressure sitting on your shoulders starts loosening little by little and leon watches like he’s proud.
You feel lighter.
Not completely relaxed, your brain doesn’t really know how to do that anymore- but lighter than you’ve felt in weeks. Its nice.
being with leon is nice.
Leon watches you from where he’s stretched out beside the wall, one knee bent, arm resting lazily across it like he’s figuring out a puzzle.
“You always this stressed?” he asks eventually.
You snort softly. “You say that like it’s a personality trait.”
“Maybe it is.”
He looks serious now. The cocky grin’s faded into something quieter.
“I don’t know..” you admit after a second. “I’ve kinda always been like this.”
“Like what?”
You shrug, staring down at your hands. “Focused I guess. My whole life’s basically been school. Straight A’s, scholarships and
internships, all that exciting stuff.”
“That’s a lotta pressure.” Leon says finally.
You shrug again smaller this time. “You get used to it… What about you?”
Leon lets out a short breath through his nose, looking toward the ceiling. “What about me?”
“You act like you don’t care about school at all.”
“I care enough to not fail.”
“That’s not an answer.”
His lips twitch slightly.
“You always this nosy?”
“Only with people who avoid questions.”
“My dad was a cop,” he says. “He died when I was a kid.”
Your expression softens immediately.
He shrugs before you can say anything but it’s different than yours. Rougher. Practiced.
“Everyone expected me to turn into him after that.” he says. “Same career path. Same whole hero thing. I think after a while I just got tired of people deciding who I was supposed to be.”
“…im sorry, leon.”
He nods before taking the last drag and throwing the bud out the window. Suddenly its like you can really see leon- not the cocky fuckboy who everybody else knows. the flirting and the cockiness and the effortless charm make a little more sense. Like something polished enough to keep people from looking too closely underneath.
“You know..” you say quietly. “Claire thinks you manipulate girls into doing your homework.”
leon shakes his head with a cocky grin. “She told you that?”
oh yeah. “multiple times.”
He shakes his head. “My reputation’s crazy.” Guess his walls are back up.
“is she wrong?” please say yes.
He looks at you for a second too long before answering. “I haven’t asked you to do anything except sit here.”
Your stomach flips a little and you hope leon doesn’t see the pink blooming on your cheeks.
You look down at the nearly untouched study guide between you.
“we didn’t really get much work done.. your still probably gonna fail.”
“probably.” he mumbles before pausing, looking down at you.
“you should stay.”
Your heart stumbles, claires voice repeating in your head. this is what he does.
“What?”
“Not like-“ He rubs the back of his neck once unexpectedly awkward. “I just mean it’s late.”
It is late.
You hadn’t even noticed how dark it’d gotten outside. Still…You stand slowly grabbing your bag before you can think too hard about the look on his face.
“I should go before Claire starts calling..”
Leon sighs dramatically. “Tragic.”
“You’ll survive.”
“Debatable.”
You laugh again moving toward the door But before you can open it, Leon speaks.
“Hey.”
You glance back.
He’s sitting up now, elbows resting loosely on his knees. “no thank you?” he says quietly.
you pause hand on the doorhandle. “..for what?”
“The weed.” He smirks, lifting two fingers to tap on his cheek.
Seriously? he seriously wants a kiss?
You grip the door handle tightly before letting go, walking over to leon shyly as he grips your hips to stand you in front of him. He raises his eyebrows and you lean down, lips kissing on his sharp jawline gently before you pull away.
One last squeeze to your hips and he lets go with a cocky grin.
“you gonna be okay walking out?” He mumbles looking up at you with almost puppy- like eyes.
You nod softly. “ill see you, leon.”
“See you around.” He mumbles your name with a sigh, watching as you walk out the door before he lays back on the bed with a groan.
bit of a filler chapter!! next chapter will pick up i promiseeee
I NEED MOREE
Enough for a Bear
Request: I always imagine that Chris eats like a bear lol so I was thinking: Maybe we have reader cooking Chris a large meal, having observed how much he eats and therefore knowing the perfect amount to cook for the two of them, for dinner. However, Chris is surprised and touched by this because they’ve only been going out a short while. RE8 era
The first time you saw Chris eat, you’d genuinely feared for the structural integrity of the fork in his hand.
Not because he was aggressive, not at all, but because the man ate like a starving freight train. Controlled, deliberate, but fast. Focused. Like he was fuelling up for a new war, not having a dinner at your local diner after a late shift. You’d blinked, and the steak had disappeared. Two sides, gone. Breadbasket? obliterated. Pie? You hadn’t even realised he’d ordered dessert, and yet it was already reduced to crumbs on the plate.
You’d laughed back then, softly, under your breath, and he’d caught you. Given you that amused, heavy lidded look of his, chin tilted slightly as if to say “what?”
“I just think it’s cute,” you’d told him.
Chris had raised a brow. “That I eat like a bear?”
“Well, a disciplined bear.”
His laugh, rough and low, had made your stomach flip, even though you’d barely touched your food. And that had been only the second time you’d gone out together.
Now? Tonight?
Definetly going to tell my kids this was my lover who went to war and didn't come back, so I had to marry their idiot father..
no way out, no giving in II
Leon kennedy x fem! Reader
Part one is in my profile! Or here
summary: you are an agent working in the same field as him. You've hated his guts ever since you met him. Is it jealousy? Probably. Is it the fact that you hate losing? Most likely. Interestingly, during these next few weeks where you and him have to work together, your earlier opinion of the handsome agent blurs.
Note: reblogs and likes motivate me sm!!
The next morning you woke up in the familiar guestroom of your coworker, Leon Kennedy.
He drove you back to your house in his Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, like you had asked. The ride home was quiet. You exchanged a few words about work, and then the awkward silence hit.
"Thank you, Leon." You said, stepping out of the car.
"Yeah." He groaned, seeming tired.
"See you at work, I guess." You shut down the car door, and he drove off. You looked as his car drove back to the forest road with a secret longing. His presence seemed to calm your nerves in a weird way.
You fixed yourself up, putting on your usual clothes. Simple dark jeans, leather boots, a white blouse and a brown leather jacket you had found during a mission in Spain. You tried to put your hair neatly, fixing your bangs and putting the rest on a pony. A rather badass outfit, you thought. You got in your car and drove to HQ in the soft rain. The weather was unusually cold for March.
The moment you entered the building, your supervisor was already breathing on your neck.
"What part do you not understand? This is a great opportunity for your career. Working with one of the most entrusted agents at D.S.O, we both could benefit greatly from this. I suggest you don't fuck this up, or all this work I've put to you was for nothing." He had said.
And like usual, you ignored it.
"Leon asked you to go meet him at the training rooms. He was talking about some new gun. I hope you won't dissappoint him, he could put in a good word for us both."
You nodded your head and made your way down to the training rooms, where Leon was already pointing the gun at dummies.
"You made it." He lowered the pistol and turned to you.
"We call it the requiem." He explained, tossing the unfamiliar gun to you.
You grabbed it and you immediately felt how heavy it was, for a pistol anyway. "Jesus? What is this made out of?" You examined the weapon before lifting it and aiming it at the dummy. "Can I try?"
One nod was all you needed. You pulled the trigger and in seconds the dummy was in pieces. Your body was pushed backwards by recoil and you shrieked. "Fuck! The hell? Haha! This is what I'm talking about baby!"
"You can only imagine why they don't let just anyone have that." Leon said, grabbing the gun from you as you frowned.
"So you wanted me here so you could show off your new toys that you won't share? Very funny, Kennedy."
"Don't cry. I'm sure there will be copies soon enough." He comforted, rolling the pistol back into its holster on his waist. "For now I'll keep it, yeah?"
You nodded your head in defeat, grabbing your own pistol from your locker. You did your usual routine checkup before aiming it at the dummies and shooting. Leon watched you from the side, noticing how tense you were.
"Ease your shoulders, you're as tense as my mother in law."
"You're married?" Your head turned to him in disbelief.
"No, focus on the dummies."
(Honestly, he had the face of a Greek god? How wasn't he married already?)
--------------------------------------------------
The next few weeks went by quickly. You and Leon spent almost every moment together at HQ. Training, filling in files, even meetings. You had learned that maybe, just maybe, he wasn't as bad as you had thought. A little overconfident sure, but not some egoistic bastard.
A knock on your office door woke you up from your daydreams.
"Yes?"
Leon opened the door calmly, seeming more grumpy than usual. You hadn't seen him come in today, so something was definitely wrong. He stepped closer to your table and sat down on an old office chair you had abandoned. The chair squeaked under his weight. He pushed a coffee cup he had brought with him your way.
"The mission is in a few weeks. I like doing things sober, but right now I just really need a drink. Yes- It's black. I noticed you like your coffee like that."
"Why are you telling me this?" You sipped the coffee and closed your laptop. "You're a grown man, you don't need my approval to go do shit."
"I'll pay for your drinks if you come with me. You don't look too jolly right now either shots of vodka will fix that right up. I'll drive you home or fuck- order you an uber if I'm too drunk."
You looked at the clock on your phone. 6pm. Would this be a terrible idea? Yes. Does a fresh shot of vodka with the hottest man around your work sound way too inviting? Also yes.
"If you pay, I'm in."
"You're easy to convince, you know." He teased as the two of you walked down the hallways of the enormous building.
"Miss! Where the hell are you going? You still haven't filled those files abo-" You heard your supervisor call you. The moment he noticed Kennedy next to you, his demeanor shifted. "O- Oh! Mr. Kennedy. I didn't see you there. I suppose you two are going training! Well, then, don't let me bother you." He laughed nervously, running past the pair of you.
"The hell?" Leon questioned.
You shrugged, and continued walking. He followed right after you. "Does he always use that tone with you? What an ass." Leon spat.
-------------------------------------------------
And that's how you ended up in the situation you were in right now. You were leaning against the bar table, swirling the shot of vodka in your hand. Leon was right next to you, seemingly even more drunk than you. He had an unbelievable tolerance for alcohol, that guy was sipping his seventh shot of the night by now.
"Do you ever think we could live a normal life?" You asked.
"Normal? No. Not after everything. Maybe you could, but I'm far too deep in this shit. But it's a pretty dream." Leon slurred.
You scooted closer to him, suddenly having the confidence to ask him the things you always wondered about.
"How was it.. in there.. 1998? Raccoon city, I mean. You were pretty young right?"
You could sense how uncomfortable the topic made him. He sighed.
"It was my first day as a cop, actually. I was only 21- fresh out of police school." He considered his words before continuing. "I never thought that that day would change my life forever. All the people that died out there.. All the people I had to kill.." Leon rambled, the strain in his voice clear.
"I'm sorry Leon. I can imagine how hard it must've been for you."
"It's been a long time since that happened. But no, I couldn't go and just.. "be a normal person" after that. My fate was sealed the moment I set foot in that city, and made it out alive." He sighed, reaching for a new glass.
You grabbed his hand. "Leon. You've drank too much. Let's get you home."
He grumbled something before giving in. You walked him to his car, getting in the driver's seat. He looked at you intensely.
"You'll drive me? How do you plan to get home?"
"I'll call an uber." You started the car with the keys you snatched from his jacket.
You put the radio on. The song playing was some band from the 80s.
--------------------------------------------------
It was 10pm when you reached his house. It was a beautiful big mansion-like house in the middle of the woods, not too far from the nearest city. The route was familiar, since you had already spent one night there. (on accident.)
You helped Leon to the door, and as soon as you reached the hallway he stared down at you, looking like he wanted to say something.
"You're beautiful." He slurred.
"You're drunk." You brushed it off.
"Stay with me." He pleaded.
"Let's get you to bed." You wrapped his arm around your shoulder and guided him up the stairs to his bedroom. You reached his bed and sat him down there. "Stay." His arms wrapped around your waist, and he pressed his head into your chest.
"No, you're drunk."
"I can't sleep. The past haunts me. The faces of the people I failed to save-----" He groaned against you. You sighed before gently patting his back. "You tried your best, Leon."
The two of you stayed like that for a long while, before you felt his body go limp against you. You pushed his sleeping figure back into the sheets, pulling the covers over him. It was dark outside, and you were both tired and a little tipsy.
You walked down the corridor into the familiar guest room. You took off your boots and jacket, climbing into the bed.
"How the hell did I end up here again? " You mumbled, passing out on the comfortable bed.

Leon Kennedy x Fem! Reader short drabble
summary: you are an agent working in the same field as him. You've hated his guts ever since you met him. Is it jealousy? Probably. Is it the fact that you hate losing? Most likely. Interestingly, during these next few weeks where you and him have to work together, your earlier opinion of the handsome agent blurs.
Note: this is part one of a series I'm thinking of doing! I will continue this if you guys would like me to... This is the first fanfic I've ever written.. so have mercy
Not proofread! Also I'm sorry for any typos, english isn't my first language.
You walked down the empty hallway of the headquarters. You were steaming, about to explode of anger.
Kennedy had done it again. That sly bastard had gotten the job done far quicker than you. And accordingly, he had to rub it in your face. How did he even manage? You had beaten him the last time, and the time before that. Were you getting too slow?
You opened the door to your office, ready to calm your nerves, only to find a tall figure standing behind your table. Ashy blonde hair, a tight collar shirt showing off his forearms (have they always been that big?) and eyes far too familiar not to recognize. Leon S. Kennedy, who else?
"Mr. Kennedy." You bit your tongue, trying to sound as professional as you could.
"Leon." He corrected. "The higher ups told me that you and I would be working together on this next case." He said neutrally, dropping the cases containing the information about the mission on your table, knocking over a pile of other files.
You cursed the whole D.S.O in your head, before crouching over to grab the fallen papers from the floor.
"I'm glad they put me in good hands then, Leon."
"Look, I know we've always had this little game going on, but I think It's time for us to start working together. It'll make the mission a hell of a lot easier for the both of us." He said, looking at you far too intensely.
"I can handle myself." You pushed past him, sitting down in your office chair and holding your throbbing head.
"Doesn't look like it." He murmured, regretting it quickly after. "From now on we will attend the same training. It will help us understand each other's techniques better, and also strenghten our teamwork." He continued.
Story of my life, you thought.
---------------------------------------------
You rushed to the training room, already a few minutes late. Great, You're going to hear about this.
You slammed the door open, panting a little. You scanned the room, until your eyes stopped on Leon, who was already looking at you. His forehead was sweaty, and his chest was falling and rising a little quicker than usual.
"And here I thought that you'd never show up."
"Yeah.. uh, apologies. I was changing my attire."
He nodded, quickly looking you up and down before starting to go over the details.
First was physical combat. You grit your teeth together, this man was a fucking closet. Those forearms could crush your head in one move. (Holy..? They could actually do that..)
"Fuck.. What am I thinking." You mumbled before getting into position.
-------------------------------------------------
Leon straightened his back, grunting while doing so.
"You're panting pretty hard. You want to stop?"
"No way. I'm nowhere near done with this." You spit through your teeth. In reality your whole body felt like it was on fire. Were the sleepless nights finally catching up with you?
"Don't be stubborn, Mrs. It's gonna get you killed some day." Leon warned.
"It has kept me alive all this time, even when you've been doing nothing but fixing that lion mane of yours. Now go."
You attack him, trying to grab his waist to push him down into the mat. Unfortunately for you he dodges to the side, grabbing you by the arm.
"Too slow."
Leon grips your arm tighter, trying to flip you to the mat. Fortunately you realize what's going on quickly enough for you to wrap your leg around his waist and use his body weight to make you both fall down.
"You were saying?" You grin, now on top of him, hands on his chest.
Leon looks at you, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Impressive. Although I hope you won't get this touchy with the zombies we might encounter." He teases, pushing you off him and getting up.
You roll your eyes at his stupid remark, pushing yourself off the ground to stand back up. How much worse was this headache about to turn? You're about to take a step, but your leg gives out. You fall to the ground, feeling a throbbing pain everywhere in your body. The last thing you can feel is strong arms grabbing you, before your vision goes black.
-----------------------------------------------
You wake up in an unfamiliar room. The bed is neat, and the room is dark. The walls are deep green, and the curtains are black.
"I thought you had fallen into a coma. " A deep voice came from the door.
"When was the last time you had a proper sleep? I'm talking 8 hours, no melatonin or shit like that. "
"Who the fuck sleeps with melanin? And even better, where the fuck have you taken me Leon? "
He steps closer to the bed, holding a glass of water.
"The nurses at hq had already left when you passed out on me. You're in my guest room. I know it's not the most professional place, but I figured you just needed rest. " He explained, handing you the glass.
You grab the glass hesitantly and drink a gulp.
"Look, Kennedy. My life is none of your business. " You spat, lifting yourself from the bed. Your skin shivers as you lose the warmth of the blanket.. Jesus? How cold did he keep the place?
"You look terrible. And the weather outside is even worse. I suggest you sleep here for the night. "
You walk to the window, shifting the curtains to look outside. He was right. It was pouring. The sky shattered with thunder, and you jolted from the sound.
Leon watched you from the bed.
"What the fuck am I doing.." You sigh, walking back to the bed. "Wake me up tomorrow early. And drop me at my place. I dont want people thinking you drive me to work. "
"Yes, Ma'am. " He replied. "Now try to get some sleep. " He said firmly. "If you need anything, I'm either sleeping in the room next to yours or working in my office." He clarified, before shutting the door gently and walking out.
What the hell was he doing? Bringing his co worker to his place without her consent? If the people at work heard about this, his career would be doomed.
You lied back on the bed, staring at the roof for a long minute. Just what the hell was happening? Suddenly you were paired up with him to a mission, and now you're sleeping in his guest room. Jesus Christ.
Neither of you slept that night.

Little white flakes of snow landed one after another on the clear pane of glass in front of your face. You chewed your bottom lip while watching the flurries compile on the window, and in-turn, your car parked in the driveway.
Behind you, a pair of sharp heels clacked against the tile floor as the owner of said driveway returned to the room. Ada stepped through the archway and down the half-step to approach you by the front door. Laying a gentle hand on your shoulder, she smiled when you turned to look at her.
╭ ⿻ ・ wake up call !!
ଓ.° ・ leon kennedy. resident evil. repost!
so here's the thing : leon s. kennedy is a light sleeper. an incredibly light sleeper, which isn't surprising-- what, given the nature of his career and everything he's ever had to endure.
oh? accidentally drop your phone on your face at an ungodly hour while he's sleeping next to you? he's awake. roll over in bed with utmost caution? he's awake.
breathe? oh, he's definitely awake.
you blindly reach for your phone on the nightstand, sleep very much still heavy on your eyes. you squint when you glance at the time, suddenly very hateful of your phone's auto brightness adjustment as it blinds you. that's certainly one way to wake up, huh?
the time reads 7:09am. you've got to leave for work in about 30 minutes, which is fine. no rush, no problem. except that--
well, except that leon is laying on top of you, head on your chest, lulled to sleep by the sound of your heart. it's become a habit of sorts-- the way he seeks comfort in your existence, the depth of your humanity an anchor & serenity in his life as you weave your fingers through his hair, slowly push him to the edge of slumber in peaceful means. it's reverent-- holy, you think, and had you not been working today, you think you would have been able to stay in bed with him all day.
I'm so normal about this
i wanted it to be you.
