Who will you support for the Dem. nomination and why?
In a perfect world, I would have gotten to vote for Elizabeth Warren in the general. I don’t get to do that, but I did get to vote for her, and volunteer for her, in the California primary.
But I’m going to vote for whoever wins the most delegates and becomes the nominee, because I’m not a selfish idiot who will only vote for someone who gives me everything I want.
I like a lot of what Bernie Sanders fights for. He’s terrible at building coalitions, though, and I thought Elizabeth Warren’s policies were just as good, sometimes better. I also believed then and now that she is a better candidate, and the human being America needs to begin healing from all of Trump and his party’s abuse. Biden is probably the most flawed of the three of them, and he’s fucking AWFUL at campaigning. Still, if he’s the guy the base of the party wants, I will be a mature adult, accept that, and vote for him in November. Then I will work through my congressional representatives to drive support for the policies I care about.
Let me just put on blast anyone who is thinking they’re going to have a tantrum and refuse to vote because they don’t get everything they want in the nominee. Let me share this comparison, which is not mine, but is perfect: voting for president is like getting on the bus. You don’t wait for a bus that takes you right to your front door, you take the bus that gets you as close as you can get to your front door. If you hate Trump and Trumpism, if you hate Fascism and Oligarchy, your only chance to defeat it is by voting for Democrats, and only Democrats. From the Presidency to your local city council, vote for Democrats if you want to roll back the horrifying advances that Fascism has made in America, under this malevolent, malignant narcissist.
It looks like it’s going to be Biden. He’s not my first or fifth choice, but you bet your life I’m going to work my ass off for him, to defeat the Fascist who is directly responsible for every bit of suffering so many Americans are living with right now.

The FCC is voting to end net neutrality on Dec. 14th. Congress can still stop the vote, but only if we make them. Go to https://www.battleforthenet.com to #StoptheFCC and defend net neutrality before it's too late.
Then, join me in "breaking the Internet" to #stopthefcc: https://breaktheinternetprotest.org
The Net Neutrality issue summarized
You (or your parents) pay approx $40-$100 or higher for internet.
So that you can all use youtube, google, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, etc. etc. etc. This isn’t limited to social media.
Net neutrality says, “Okay, since you already paid x amount of money for the month, you don’t have to pay for each asset individually. Enjoy your internet.” NO net neutrality means that your service provider (comcast, at&t, verizon, whatever it may be) gets to say “ACTUALLY, it lines our pockets so give us an extra $5.99 for Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. Oh, but that doesn’t include Tumblr; that comes with our premium package. That’ll be $5.99 on its own as well. Now about your Google docs and email…
That’s why it’s important. That’s why I’m spamming Net Neutrality crap. If you’re using the internet, it’s YOUR problem.
-Email your congressman (text resist to 50409) It’s easy, you don’t have to talk to anyone.
-Tweet the FCC. https://twitter.com/FCC
-Tweet THIS guy. https://twitter.com/AjitPaiFCC
-CALL. https://www.battleforthenet.com/
-This site does the heavy lifting for you.
-Sign this.
-Sign this.
-Email your congressmen (that’s what I’m doing) https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative
-Swim the #NetNeutrality tag on Twitter. Seriously, it’s helpful.
And lastly, GET THIS TRENDING. It’s trending on Twitter but it needs to trend here too. This is everyone’s issue.

It’s so incredibly harmful and dangerous when people say that depression is a choice. Depression is not a choice. It’s an illness like diabetes, or cancer, or lupus, or the flu. Nobody asks for it, and there are medical professionals who have dedicated their lives to helping people like me who have Depression. If you have mental illness like I do, you have nothing to be ashamed of, and it’s okay (and *really important*) to ask for help.
