“So, do you think it’s a good moment to change this stupid mask for my batman one?” Ace asked the other as he approached them. “Besides I’m starting to feel cross-eyed with this shit.” He complained at the same time he took the mask off. “Please, don’t look so surprised, I always look this good.” He joked as he rubbed his eyes.

“i think you should’ve shown up in the batman mask, to be honest. why didn’t you?” sam asked with a grin, lifting his own mask to rest atop his head. “oh, same. i didn’t think it would be as annoying as it is, but i think i’m gonna throw this out the second i get home. it’ll never see the light of day again.” blue eyes rolled, arms crossed over his chest as he teased. “oh, it’s your ego i worry about, not your looks.”
“If I knew you were such a lousy shot, I would’ve upped the money.” Jack taunted, lifting his drink from the side of the pool table for a quick sip. “I’m not even good at pool and I know I’m gonna win.” his cocky tone mixed with his New York accent was loud enough to turn a few heads. “Is it too late to change the bet to a hundred dollars?” @atlanta-rpgstarters·
“i told you i’ve played this game a maximum of like... four times in my entire life. and one of those times the game was scripted, so i don’t think that even counts at all.” as much as he was sad to be losing his money on a game he had very little chance of winning anyway, sam was by no means a sore loser. reaching for his own drink with a laugh, he halted in his tracks. “yes! it’s way too late to change the bet! you’re attempting daylight robbery here.”
samuel anderson ( fc : aaron tveit ) 33 years old from manhattan, ny and has lived in atlanta for 5 years . currently working as a middle school music teacher & private music tutor. [ jade, 20, gmt ] @atlanta-rpgstarters
passionate, industrious & amicable.
impulsive, perfectionistic & excitable.
samuel was born in midtown manhattan, the only child of a french mother who was an attorney and a norwegian-american father who was a physics teacher. as a result, sam grew up speaking english, french and norwegian though he picked up the latter in his teens and favours french out all of all of his languages. this was partially because he developed a stutter just as he started school and yet found that he rarely stuttered in french compared to when he spoke english. not long after this discovery was made another one occurred; sam’s stutter disappeared when he sang which was already something he loved to do.
middle and high school were tough, with sam frequently getting bullied or made fun of for his speech difficulties despite the progress he’d been making in speech therapy. regardless, he found solace in academic work and his favourite extra-curricular, musical theatre particularly as he progressed in therapy and stuttered less and less though it still rears its head once more at times, particularly if he’s stressed or overtired & he has always been open about it publicly throughout his career. with his interest in music ever-clear, it was no surprise when he went on to major in voice at juilliard. came out as bisexual in college after developing a huge crush on a male scene partner and discovering the label and that he had a slight preference for men, typically. by the time he’d completed his m.a in music and music education, samuel found himself joining a touring company of rent as an understudy and then roger.
when he eventually left the tour, he was overjoyed to discover he’d managed to land another job and made his broadway debut in hairspray as link larkin. shortly after this he found himself in a job he could only have ever dreamed of; originating a role on broadway in catch me if you can. after cmiyc’s broadway run ended sam took a break from stage work to dive into screen acting, ending up playing enjolras in 2012′s les mis. with the success of les mis, sammy found himself cast in a pilot, graceland, which was then picked up for three seasons and ran until 2015.
as much as sam truly enjoyed performing on both stage and screen, over those years he’d come to the conclusion that teaching was still his true calling; the little experience he’d gathered over the course of his own education had been among the best times of his life and so he made the decision to return to teaching and began applying for music teaching jobs. after receiving an offer from a middle school in atlanta, he accepted and moved to the city without a second thought. shortly after settling in in the new city and job, sam set up his own private tutoring business, helping kids and adults with singing, piano or guitar.
some plots can be found here but i will give my soul for literally any connection whatsoever !
Somewhere Only We Know by Keane except it’s playing from the living room while you’re outside pacing on your deck, stressing about every last bit of your life that isn’t in place - but about halfway through, you trip over the edge and fall directly into your backyard pool. You don’t have the heart to climb out.
