honestly adam parrish is the teenager ever. like bro is 17/18, bisexual, hates his family, wasn't alone but was always lonesome, has a weird relationship with intimacy, has 3 jobs that he dislikes but also loves, is in three situationships, is afraid of being known but couldn't stand to lose his friends, yearns and feels bad about it, is bitterly sarcastic if not completely cynical, forms bonds with random adult figures, has far too many skeletons in his closet, stays up late doing homework, created a random side hustle that did far too well, knows people have a crush on him but ignores it for convenience, would rather give over his soul to an ancient forest than talk about his feelings to anyone, and on top of all of that, is just trying his best to pass AP physics. no one has ever topped this level of 'something for everyone' in a character.

I’ve been (impatiently) waiting until I finished this series to delve into the fandom for it to avoid spoilers…I’ve finished book 4 just in time for a new summertime fandom hyperfixation *rubs hands together* *opens ao3 and tumblr*

Umm... If anyone was curious how many times the POV changes in the Raven Cycle I made a chart lol. The key's on the left and the chart's on the right!! (also I included the prologue and epilogue!!)

Also some fun little observations I found while doing this chart or just some notes I had:

Gansey has the most back to back chapters, which surprised me bc I personally considered Blue the "main character"

Ch 2 and 6 across all 4 books is Blue's POV (well ch 3 and 7 in book one bc of the prologue but they still line up in the chart lol)

I thought the series ended with Blue's POV. If you considered the epilogue it actually ends with Ronan (which I guess makes sense bc of The Dreamer Trilogy)

Gansey has a little "staircase" between the books (Book 1 Ch 4, B2 C4, B3 C5, B4 C6)

I swear Ronan had a chapter or two in book 1 but I guess not???

Most of the "others" are character I personally didn't remember that well or I was jsut too lazy to figure out their color lol
