I mean I would care that Sam and Bucky were on screen again if the MCU didn’t end up making Bucky so unlikeable in Thunderbolts.

The most exciting part of the Doomsday trailer for me was seeing Gambit and Shang-Chi fight and Shuri back in action.

Idk I just don’t care about the X-Men characters from another franchise being in the MCU all of a sudden and Steve and RDJ being dusted off for nostalgia points. I wanted a story about Sam building the new Avengers with all the new characters the MCU introduced. Maybe it’ll be good but since I never really liked Endgame, it’s probably gonna be more for other ppl than me.

From the fics, fanart, headcanons, edits, etc. etc. that people in this fandom regularly like, reblog, retweet, and recommend, you’d think that approximately 95% of the SamBucky fandom not only hated everything about Sam except his body, but also was unable, or maybe just unwilling, to identify anti-Black racism in even its most basic forms.

Hell, y’all can’t even recognize when someone continuously and blatantly openly disrespects Sam when you’re claiming he’s your favorite character. It’s bizarre. I mean, I know I bring it up a lot, but I can’t help it. People are openly anti-Black and anti-Sam on a daily basis and only like 5 people seem to care about it. Like, damn, even the most hated Black characters usually have more shooters than this. At the very least, the people claiming to be their fans usually genuinely like them. But the only things most of the people in this fandom like about Sam Wilson are his body and the fact that he’s a convenient character to use as a self-insert for their Bucky centered, race-play adjacent, fantasies.

Idk man, it’s just really depressing in every corner of the SamBucky fandom these days.

Just caught up on all the Doomsday trailers and supposed leaks. At least I think I did they were like trying to leak the whole movie in 1 min clips six months ago. I clearly have not been paying attn to the MCU lately.

But also, really?

Look, I never liked Endgame. I never thought Steve going back in time to be with Peggy made sense. For a character as self-sacrificing as Steve, it seemed uncharacteristically selfish to change history and leave everyone else to clean up the mess of Thanos. He gets a chill retirement after the Avengers unilaterally decided to bring everyone back five years after they went missing in a world where he literally doesn’t have to even see the consequences of that. It felt unearned and weird that he was still hung up on Peggy. I get that a lot of people love it and my disliking it doesn’t mean I’m challenging your right to think it’s great. It just didn’t land with me personally.

And so now, Steve will have to deal with those consequences in a catastrophic way. And TBH from a storytelling POV I’m not necessarily against that… if these were actually comics and not a movie series that spent literal years building up other characters who won’t get the limelight bc we have to drag Chris Evans out of the closet and dust him off to be Steve Rogers again.

It’s just so insulting to the new characters and actors. We’re STILL riding the coat tails of Evans and RDJ. Ugh it’s exhausting. Especially if you’ve been waiting for Sam Wilson to lead the Avengers.

You know the X Men from another verse are gonna get more screen time than the MCU characters who have had projects since 2018.

I do lol that only time I saw Bucky was dead. They don’t know what to do with him.

Idk maybe it’ll be good but ayyyyy, how long do we have to keep everything focused on these two actors??? I’m also ready to be done with Thor.

Also Steve turned his back on Harley? Out there riding a Triumph. Signs it’s a different universe I guess lol.

Bucky read about “The Five Love Languages” online and has decided to attempt them with Sam.

Trying to get my characters to engage with me about finishing this Sarahbucky fic and Sarah is like “sorry busy dying of embarrassment try again later” and Bucky is floating on cloud 9 dopey smile literally planning their wedding but too afraid to actually act.

Come on characters work with me here so I can start writing. 😂

My interest in finishing my SarahBucky fic is increasing. But I’m also too lazy to rewatch any part of the MCU for it. So I may just wing it and let the vibes carry me home. I actually have no idea where it’s going; it’s been one of those fics where I open a document and see where the characters take me. It’s fun. I get to be as surprised as the readers. 😅
