It's 2026 and St**ky shippers are still coming into Sam's tags to post content about that ship. It's beyond time to give this behavior a rest. You don't need to talk about Sam or any ship with him and either of them. Please just continue to ship St**ky, and leave Sam out of it. All of those relationships are fanon. None of them are more "real" than the other. No Sam fan wants to read about how you think Sam's relationships with them, even just friendships, is "lesser" in some way. These relationships just happened at different points. We certainly don't want to read about how Steve and Bucky see Sam as a "replacement," and how limited you write Sam in your headcanons. He's a "therapist" because of a support group from years ago, but Steve isn't seen as one for running a support group. Even the so-called Sam "fans," and the so-called multishippers do this.
Also, there are some of those shippers who come into his tags to vilify Sam in one way or another. I remember those "what if Sam was secretly Hydra" posts back when he first appeared. He in no way "forced" a meeting with Steve. Steve is the one who started the relationship between them. He has not been ableist, a bully, or abusive to Buck at all. Also, Sam and Bucky have a relationship outside of Steve. Yes, he's their mutual friend, but they formed a relationship beyond that. It's weird seeing claims they are only co-workers, they have only know each other a few months, or have only being friends a few months. None of that is true.
Anyways, you aren't "oppressed" for shipping St**ky, and some of you need to take your own advice and stay in your own tags/use anti tags and censor the names/ships on Twitter. Go enjoy content for that ship, and leave Sam alone.
Let me add that Sam fans do not care how codependent you want/wish sticky to be. They weren't, contrary to what some folks believe, and that certainly wasn't the case when it came to their "modern day" interactions. We also do not care about the tired "Sam should have stayed Falcon" takes. A title change is hardly a new concept, so it's beyond time to move on from this discussion.
Another thing, why do some sticky shippers feel the need to consume fanon content for Sam's ships with Steve or Bucky? No Sam fan or anyone who likes the ships want to hear backhanded compliments on fanworks, or how you hate the ships, but you're going to read fics or watch fanvids for them. You could just not bother. All of this is fanon and supposed to be for fun.
Also, Disney/Marvel do not care about some slash ship. The narrative that they were "scared" of some fanon slash ship is ridiculous. This weird obsessive behavior over your personal fanon doesn't belong in Sam's tags.
This should go without saying, but we also do not care about you still being mad about Endgame all these years later. Please spare us the "Steve left Bucky" posts, and the sticky to sambucky posts. It's all so tired. You guys will post this nonsense in Sam's tag usually without even mentioning/caring that Sam also lost a friend. If you do mention this, it's a throwaway line, but the posts boil down to being mad that a fanon ship didn't happen despite there being nothing in the narrative that even hinted that it would. Go enjoy your fanon in the tags for it. Sam fans don't care, and we don't need to see these ridiculous posts.
Also, it's been said many times before, but there is no "ship war." There never has been one. Give that narrative a rest too.
Please spare us these posts about Sam and Bucky "teaming up" against Steve. They won't be doing that. We know you only want them to fight him for marrying Peggy, and they would not be mad about that just because you are because of your fanon ship. Also, keep the sticky reunion posts in the sticky tag.
Bringing the back. Also, you don't need to try and force yourself to like Sambucky. Some sticky shippers are very weird about Sambucky for no reason. Continue to like the ship you like. If you think Sticky is some "epic" fanon ship, lol, that's your prerogative. Please stay in your lane. It's really that simple. This is also supposed to be a fun side thing. None of these ships are actually happening in the narrative.
Bringing this back again. The tags still have a bunch of "I hope they fight Steve" posts. They will not be doing that. These grown men aren't gonna be mad about Steve marrying Peggy in a branch timeline. Give it a rest already.
I do hope Sam and Steve can have a private conversation about how things were handled in Endgame regarding Sam not knowing Steve's plans.

This whole situation sucks, but I’m really glad that people are being so transparent and putting the blame squarely where it belongs, on Disney/Marvel.
Just did another blocking session. This is a perfect example of the nonsense happening in the tags right now 😭
Fandom: isn’t it awesome that the fandom isn’t falling for Marvel’s very obviously racist decision to bring Steve back!
Also fandom: calls the ship winterfalcon despite Sam not having been Falcon in the mcu in years.
That plus the constant focus on Steve “leaving behind his boyfriend(s)” (usually not in the plural) instead of on the actual issue, Marvel’s racism. One of those is far more of an issue than the other but you wouldn’t know that from the posts in the tags.
This is very much not a shipping issue. At all. This isn’t about the “divorce”. This isn’t about Marvel “screwing sambucky over” for sticky. This is about Marvel’s antiblackness. But Shana was right, the fandom got one shot of Sam and Bucky standing next to each other in the trailer and that’s all most people in the tags care about.
And even if people do recognize the racism at play in doomsday and all its marketing, they don’t see how the fandom’s response to it has the same issue. They don’t see the racism in Thunderbolts* (both the marketing and the movie itself). Every time someone is “brave” enough to say they liked Brave New World they talk about how it wasn’t actually good or should have been better. They don’t see the racism in calling to boycott the one movie with a Black lead and not any of the other Marvel projects that have all the same issues. They don’t see the racism in TFATWS. Sometimes they don’t even see the racism in TFATWS that was there on purpose!
This post also does that thing where they say that Steve should be called out for leaving. Steve’s ending was fine. It made sense for his character and wrapped up his arc perfectly. It was supposed to be a way to put his character to rest in the mcu without having to kill him. Steve is not the one who needs to be called out here. Marvel is.
And once again, the actual issue at hand is the racism. Ignoring that or only acknowledging it as a side note is doing the exact same thing Marvel is by bringing Steve back.
I know this has been discussed plenty, but I saw these comments earlier, so it's still a topic, but how exactly did Sam treat Walker like shit?
Sure Bucky was very upfront with his dislike of Walker, and even recently still doesn't like him, but what did Sam do besides decline to work with Walker? What exactly did Sam do or say that equals treating Walker like shit? As I recall, Sam tried multiple times to de-escalate, and we saw Walker escalate situations. In their first sit down talk, we found out that Walker and Lemar hacked Redwing, and that's how they found Sam and Bucky. Despite that, and despite the fact that they had no new information to add, Sam still shared what he knew so far. Walker, at the end of their conversation, hits Sam with that "wingman" bit which folks like to ignore for what it is. Sam even says, "it's always that last line." During the rest of the show, Sam is as cordial as possible even though Walker isn't. He tries to pick a fight with Sam after his role in messing up the talk with Karli. Even after Walker wrongfully killed Nico, Sam tries to reason with him, but Walker escalates that situation too. At no point during that fight were Sam or Bucky trying to kill him, but Walker does attempt to kill Sam. Again, what did Sam do or say that equals treating Walker like shit?
Let me also add that Sam tried to stop Walker from getting into it with the Dora, but Walker didn't listen, and he got what he got. In the warehouse, Sam says "this isn't you, John," and "you made a mistake." Sam tried to prevent situations from escalating, and even suggested that maybe Walker could savage some part of his reputation if he would stand down, but that doesn't happen. Although, he does get a light punishment overall. Again, where did Sam treat Walker like shit?
Adding these new ones. These are from a thread talking about Reed holding Sam back. The other replies are just as annoying, but these Walker ones still make no sense. What exactly did Sam do to Walker? All Sam did was not want to work with Walker. I think he feels indifferent to Walker even though he has every reason to dislike Walker in how Walker choose to approach Sam from the start.
These are from the same person who said Sam disliked him before he had a good reason. Walker's actions are his own. If he didn't interrupt Sam and Karli's talk then everything ends there, and Lemar doesn't die. He didn't try to reach them any other way. He hacked Redwing. He had no new information to add, but he still wanted to be in charge. It's interesting that Sam isn't allowed any feelings about Walker's behavior towards him, not even just being annoyed, but Walker stans believe that is justified in everything he does.
Adding more to this. Perhaps I will just keep this going. This was in a thread of overhated successors. The way folks love to remove the full context from the warehouse scene is absurd. The whole show really. Putting that aside, whenever I see a comment about how Walker should have stayed Cap or that he was a good Cap, I wonder what this is based on. Being Cap isn't about being a good solider, so what made Walker a good Cap? Even if we put aside him wrongfully killing Nico, what did he do as Cap that made him a good Cap?
Returning for a short time, and adding these onto this post. The OP that these replies are under isn't about Sam, and doesn't mention him. Though, the OP is hating on Jean and using Walker as a comparison. I ask again, what did Walker do during his time as Cap that makes him a much better Cap that Sam is/will be? How did Walker carry on the legacy of the mantle that made him "better?"
Still misunderstanding the Flagsmashers to this day, but then I think maybe they aren't really, but they need something to hold against Sam. Sam was not in the wrong here, and he was absolutely right to point out the actions of those in charge. It's still so very interesting since when it comes to certain characters, there's a lot of talk about "redemption." Walker gets that a lot. He's "redeemed" in tbolts many say despite there being no amends, and he's still working for Val. Yet, Sam rightfully pointing out that just trying to write off the Flagsmashers is not the right way to handle the situation is seen as this awful irredeemable thing.
Again, how did Sam handle the situation with Walker that was so bad? Why is Walker's behavior constantly excused? There goes the "I liked him as Falcon."
I am curious why Sam would even be mentioned here in the first place. If you want to defend Walker, why must Sam come up? Sam didn't make Walker do anything. The OP mentioned Walker killing Nico, and ignoring his son. Sam didn't make him kill Nico, and her certainly has nothing to do with Walker being a bad father.

So things like this are obviously engagement bait, and it's tired. If Marvel had done what they should have we would have less of this, but here we are. The replies are what you would expect. Some actual Sam defenses, some half assed defenses, people rightfully pointing out the non American characters, and how they were never Captain America, annoying Walker Stans, Sam doesn't have the serum. Only Steve is Cap, or he's only Steve now, some people just like the Cap mythos and more. I did find a couple of interesting replies:
Like I said before, it's very strange how Sam using tech is held against him like it's a bad thing. Some people talk about him like he's going into battle in pajamas, no training, no skills to do anything, and no super suit. When folks say that "he only has the wings" they really act like the wings aren't a Vibranium made weapon. The suit also gives Sam enhanced strength. As I always say, he doesn't have to be your fave but why the nitpicking and the unfair discussions?
Also, someone please let me know what made Walker a good Cap? I see this take come up about how he was a good Cap, and how Walker should still be Cap. In the short time that he was Cap, what made him a "good" Cap? This is typically said in conversations to put down Sam, and I did see this expressed in the replies here. It wasn't many comments, but still not the first time I've seen this. Remember that Walker is a grown man responsible for his own behavior, so what made Walker a "good Cap?"
Sam not being centered and Isaiah getting no mention are my biggest issues with fuck ass poster.
But definitely cosigning everything you've said, especially about the mass of brain dead comments.
i’m sorry “5 captain americas” is killing me. these people are so fucking stupid it’s not even funny. and it’s especially not funny when the one guy who is confirmed to be the only one using the moniker is the one they all shit on the most because he’s Black.
the exclusion of isaiah is absolutely egregious, and honestly these people really have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about with respect to the title of captain america and what it means. it certainly doesn’t mean every flag suit, and never mind every flag suit with super serum. never mind that the whole goddamn point of john walker is what captain america shouldn’t be. ffs
i wish to be free from these stupid ass takes, and i really do wish marvel would give even half a fuck to keep people in line about sam and his role. but that really is asking too much huh.

And of course…
Also, not for nothin’, but if we’re keeping it a buck, Mackie having more chemistry with Evans and Stan than they ever had with each other is a large part of why salty Stucky fans routinely troll the SamSteve and SamBucky tags. Well, that and the antiBlack racism of course. But then, they both go hand and hand don’t they? Because if Sam was white, they wouldn’t be acting nutty about him or the SamSteve and SamBucky ships all the time, would they? 🙄🤷🏾♀️
Sinners is a great commentary on what it's like to be Black on tumblr but instead of playing banjo the Remmicks give you a speech on how they cant be racist bc they're queer and reblog 'POCs' and accuse you of bullying right before you shut the door.
Bringing this back as well. Some people are very misinformed about Sam's suit. It's also interesting how the conversation regarding powersuits go depending on the characters involved.
