Since some people are unclear: a) showing NSFW stuff to minors is a CRIME that you can be ARRESTED for in most countries but b) like any other crime, you can't be charged if you didn't act on purpose, so if minors read your stuff without interacting you're much less responsible, whereas if someone follows you and has an under-18 age in their description you're pretty much obligated to block them.

The question is:

If they are lying about their age (like that anon is clearly doing) or don’t say it am I still responsible?

If someone told you they were 18+ but aren’t actually an adult, you don’t have responsibility anymore - you did your part, asking to know if they were 18+, and they took the responsibility by lying.

It’s the same thing as what happens when someone clicks the “I’m 18+” thing on Ao3, or on a porn site. That’s why websites like these ask to check - they did their job, which is request for you to ensure you were old enough, and someone lying takes the responsibility.

This is why I ask my followers their age, one by one.
