Team Green? No, team Aegon. I don’t care about all the backstabbing or abusive people, they can go for all I care. I don’t even mean this in a “I want him on the throne”, I never truly cared about it, I mean this in a “I need him happy and away from all those snakes”
That last episode of HotD really showed how much the writers have stripped Alicent and Rhaenyra’s motivation to “daddy/hubby said the throne is mine!”
They don’t have their own ambitions or self preservation needs, they only want the throne because Viserys said so.
Having Rhaenyra and Alicent discuss Aegon’s dream shouldn’t change anything because they shouldn’t want the throne just because Viserys said so!
Why is Rhaenyra’s motivation only reinvigorated once she knows Viserys wanted her to be heir till his dying breath? She’s lost her son and her daughter already! She should want the throne not only because it was promised to her but because she wants it for herself.
Why is Alicent’s resolved shaken by learning Viserys wasn’t talking about Aegon? She should want Aegon on the throne because he is her son, he’s heir by law, and that power is needed to protect her kids!
alicent should be like ‘you know what, fuck what viserys wants. these people have showed me that they will not respect even the weakest of us, why the hell should i care about what they want’.
Trying to churn out fics for HOTD when the writing continues to hit rock bottom, is slowly driving me insane. S2’s writing has been absolute garbage to the point I’m feeling extremely uncharitable towards Alicent, which is probably a good indication to stop writing for the day.
For one, why is TG written to act like the war is Aegon’s fault, when aside from Helaena, he’s so far been the least at fault??
Alicent and Otto were the ones that crowned Aegon against his will. Aegon was the one who had to be dragged to the pit kicking and screaming (literally) to claim a throne he never even wanted. Sure, there’s the argument that it’s his birthright en yada yada, but clearly the show forgot that little bit.
Aemond killed Lucerys. Criston was the one who sent Arryk after Rhaenyra, not Aegon. Otto was the one who ordered nobles killed for not supporting them.
So what exactly has Aegon actually done? And if the leaks are to be believed (and they’ve been accurate so far), what has he done to deserve his own brother maiming and trying to kill him? Because he was mean and cruel and petty in today’s episode???
So fucking what?????
Aegon isn’t nice. They’ve never gotten along, except for few moments where they stuck together for survival. This isn’t petty childhood squabbles, sibling bullying, or rivalries borne from being mom’s favorite vs the most unloved eldest son in westeros. Aegon’s son is dead, and Aemond is partially at fault.
It doesn’t matter that Aemond regrets killing Lucerys. It absolves no one. Luke’s still dead, so Jaehaerys is too.
Aegon is gonna be mean and hateful and angry and vengeful. Aemond did something incredibly stupid and now his infant nephew is dead. Today’s brothel scene will never justify what Aemond does next episode.
the fact that they put in this WORTHLESS brothel bullying scene + aemond getting SA'd at such a young age because of aegon plot (so that writers can justify his love for alys later down the line as if he can't just fall in love with her, no it HAS to be rooted in his traumatic experience w older women 😮💨) to set up the brotherly rivalry and the non-canon betrayal at RR .... instead of you know ... maybe aegon blaming aemond for the murder of his son and the torture of his wife and their sister ??? like how about THAT being the reason for the tension and animosity in their relationship with one another ??? how about THAT causing aemond such soul-crushing guilt ??? especially after he dragged an unwilling aegon to his coronation which then through his reckless actions leads to his big brother becoming irreversibly damaged and disabled by fighting a battle he never wanted to fight in the first place ??? how about THAT guilt leading aemond down a path of murder and mania and the inability to face his family anymore causing him to stupidly abandon them in KL then catalyzing to what's basically his suicide above the god's eye ????
but no of course b&c won't be the reason for the tension and you wanna know why? because these writers don't want you to care about blood and cheese. helaena sure as fuck doesn't! "children die all the time so it's ok mine died right? :^)))))" instead of her character developing into the suicidal broken woman she becomes who kills herself over this trauma that daemon and rhaenyra inflicted upon her, she's like whatever :^). and then the director and writers have the AUDACITY to say daemon realizes this episode that he made a mistake in ordering b&c and that he regrets it. IN BOOK CANON DAEMON HAD ALREADY BEEN PLANNING THE ASSASSINATION AND TORTURE OF HELAENA AND HER KIDS FOR WEEKS!!!!! WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
but no, b&c and the consequences thereof cannot be felt or reckoned with by any of the greens' characters. because how else can ryan condal then wash daemon and rhaenyra's hands clean of this pivotal act of senseless violence in the story? bunch of worthless writers.
Imagine the lucifer painting with the one teary eye as aegon. I think it would work because the coronation scene where the light hits his face just right to show the tear build up.
In Episode 14 we see that after Gun is dead and Vegas and Pete have left, Korn gives the ring of the minor family to Porsche. And it's Kinn that gives the ring to Porsche.
In the book you have Korn give the ring to Porsche and says:
So Pa would like to hand over The Second Family Ring to Porsche.
Then you have the bodyguards of the minor family bowing to Porsche because he is now their leader. In the book, several weeks after Korn sets up Kim to be a rival of Kinn, Porsche is having a meeting with Vegas of how he doesn't trust Korn, and does not think Korn is the nice guy he portrays himself as.
'I'm sure that Khun Korn didn't tell me the truth [...] I'm very doubtful why he kept maintaining my mother's corpse.'
They are then approached by many of the old minor family guards knelt down and wanted to serve Vegas for two reasons:
Gun had treated them all very nice.
Gun loved his children so they want to serve their boss by serving his beloved children.
'Khun Gun was very kind to us. [...] Let us protect the people Khun Gun loves one more time.'
In the series you see that the minor family bodyguards are bowing to Porsche instead. Which makes sense, he is their new leader.
After Porsche saying they now have more man power the chapter ends. In the VP Christmas chapter at the end Vegas sits with Pete in the sand and gives Pete the ring of the minor family.
'Our family ring'
'But this is the Leader's ring. Only Khun Korn and you...' I said in shock.
'It's mine now. Second Family Leader's Ring I'll give it to you'
Vegas says that the ring is now his, so I'm assuming he eventually gets the ring back. And it will be because of the mission that Vegas and Porsche will go on to take down Korn. The time in-between the KP special chapter and VP Christmas chapter might be what the next book and It's plot revolves around. However we already have clues as to whether or not Korn dies. At the start when Pete is being dragged by Khun and Vegas can't join them on their holiday because he has to take care of the business, Khun says this:
'Then throw them all away. Noone has to work. Let the company go out of business. My father is a cautious businessman and he will help it get back on track soon.'
If this chapter is indeed happening after the KP special chapter then it implies the father is still alive.
So my question is what do you all think happens for the ring to go from Porsche to Vegas? Or is it even the same ring? Is Vegas still working for Porsche?
Or will BOC show in Season 2 Vegas getting the ring back? Because they've changed the fact that Nam Phueng is dead in the book to being alive with memory loss in the series. And there was no Venice. So will they change this too, and let Porsche keep the Minor family ring?
I hope in Season 2 Vegas gets to give the Minir family ring to Pete to show how much he has changed and his dedication and love towards Pete. To show that Pete has power over his feeling and emotions and Pete gives him a reason to live and to be a better person. And that is too sweet to take away from them. 😭😭😭

Honestly, good on Marvel. Now, the very few of you who follow me know that I’m about as anti-politically correct person you’ll find on this website, so I didn’t think much of Gunn’s tweets. However, I can understand the offense that was taken by others. But the man apologized profusely and sincerely. His cast members stood by his side resolutely, which speaks multitudes to his character. And he hasn’t made jokes like that in over a decade. This is where cancel culture goes to far, is when people are genuinely trying to better themselves and the people are just refusing to accept anything other than the complete decimation of their careers.
So I’m thoroughly ecstatic that Gunn is back. Not only because I think he made amends quite nicely, but because he’s just a straight up talented director. He took a comic book series that not many had heard of and turned it into an iconic cinematic beauty.
And ultimately, what cancel culture needs to learn is how to give people another chance. We are not one dimensional creatures. We are always changing, some of us for the better.
Ok, so I've watched season 1 of SKAM Italia. I'm on season 2 episode 1 and I am a bit confused.... are they all in their first year of high school? Because they were 16 in season 1 (so GCSE year) so are they now in year 2 (first year of Sixth form)? If so then did SKAM Italia wait for an academic year to end to start a new one for season 2?
