BOTTLED - THE MOVIE

Bottled the Movie - a project from students of IMEM at the NHTV in Breda

The first film-related project of my studies. The assignment was to create a non-fiction short movie with no dialogue or written messages. 

The short movie is about a boy and his father who both feel bottled by their grief after losing someone dear to them. During a heated fight, they find out that they both carry the same family picture around. Both father and the son realise that what has drawn them apart for so long will also have the power to bring them back together as a family. 

I was the director of this short movie and together with a team of five, we did not only produce this short movie but also created a social media marketing campaign around it, including a trailer and behind the scenes video. Additional clips can be found from the same youtube channel. It was the first time we had to make use of professional documentation, such as call sheets, talent/location release forms and music copyright clearance forms. But also the first time we put the theory and practical information about the filming equipment gained during workshops into real life practice.
