do you have any pieces that you strongly associate with / were directly inspired by music? (*aside from your own)

so many of my pieces are inspired by or associated with music that i honestly think it'd be easier for someone to point at any given piece and ask me to explain what it was inspired by, but some recent ones: (stuff i usually post on my art blog @acidhydraart instead, but still)

these mech sketches were all drawn while listening to the Bomb Rush Cyberfunk soundtrack. fun exercise is figuring out which songs correlate to which drawings

this one's pretty obvious (for those who don't know, Digital Black by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard)

this RTVS/WDWB podcast fanart was made to the tune of Podcast No 5 by Justin Wabs, theme of said podcast

both halves were really fun to make! the ambient post-rock into electronic jazz was a fun combo to make the song as, especially since it was my first time writing a sax solo and working with fretless bass!

ART VS ARTIST 2025
