The little Budew chirped happily as the Daycare couple handed her over to Lyra. The trainer had decided that it was time for the little Pokemon to start battling against other trainers rather than just wild battles. Paying the money to the lady, she smiled as she hugged her friend warmly before returning her to her Pokeball.
As soon as she opened her mouth to thank the couple, a loud noise caught her off-guard as the doors to the building burst open, a few Rocket grunts rushing forward in a threatening manner. Lyra tensed, watching as one was shouting out orders to the others as they dispersed into different directions, one or two even hopping over the counter and into the back room where the Pokemon were being looked after. The elderly couple who ran the Daycare wasted no time in following the grunts into the room, she assumed in order to prevent them from stealing anything or causing harm. Freezing in fear, the brunette let her eyes wander to try and keep an eye on the sudden break-in, wishing desperately that she could intervene but lacking the courage to do so.
Backing into a corner, she tensed even more when she spotted a familiar face among the group. In one way, she wanted to run over and say something- anything. Yet the other half of her wanted to avoid making eye contact and focus on trying to get herself and her Pokemon to safety so that she could call for help. Before she could even think about taking action however, she blurted out his name across the room, instantly slapping a hand over her mouth when she did so. It was spontaneous and she hadn’t a clue why she had done it, but what was said was said- there was no taking it back. Why did this keep happening? Out of all the people that were part of Team Rocket, Harvey was always the one that showed up in the same place as her. It was strange, but she had no time to think about that now!
It felt like ages till the grunt had gotten out and done anything for team rocket. For what seemed like months, all he'd been doing was paper work and guarding the base from within. Finally, he was able to go out, get fresh air, and do what he loved best. Stealing. The task for today was to go to the daycare in Johto and gather as many pokemon from there as possible. After that, they were supposed to be sold for a great profit. Instead of capturing ones from the wild, they were gonna go to a sweet spot. So many people used the daycare, that it seemed perfect to invade. Instead of waiting for day to become night, they decided to ambush it, leaving no spot left uncovered. Harvey kept low in bushes nearby the building, co-workers staying near as they waited for the signal. The male poked his head out from the bush, looking left, then right. Once the ghost was clear, the rocket gestured the sign, letting a few other grunts go in before him. From the shrub, he could hear the loud thrash of the door opening as they jetted into the daycare. The sound of it made the man crack a smile- this was gonna go just as plan, he knew it- there was nothing that was gonna get in his way. Harvey jumped out of the bush, slamming the doors open as he scanned over the room. Some rockets fooled with the old folks- getting off track from the real assignment. The man huffed, stomping over to the two and gave each a smack in the back of their heads. "Stay focus" His teeth gritted as he spoke, glaring the others down. Just as he was about to jump the counter and go after the worker who'd began to chase his team, a piercing voice made him freeze in place. His feet stayed still with the floor, as if they were glued. That tone-that voice, he didn't have to turn his head to see who this person was. And the other dead giveaway was the sound of his name being shouted. He never was one to give out his identity, usually only telling his roll call number, or stating he was simply a grunt who work for team rocket. Slowly, he finally had turned, facing the small girl who was nearly just a few feet away from him. "augh, Lyra, what're you doin-" His voice fell still as the feeling of a hand was placed upon his shoulder. Once the member had got the man's attention, they spoke for him to get rid of the by stander so word of them being here wouldn't spread as quickly. Harvey took a deep breath before letting out a huff, shoving the other's hand off from him. "you gather more pokemon, I can handle this pipsqueak.' The member nodded their head before following after the others. Once all was occupied, Harvey hesitantly made his way over to where Lyra was. Despite having to get rid of her, the man refused to draw out any weapon, not even a pokemon. "What're ya doin' here?- Don't you have better thing t' do. Like...battle those stickin' gym leaders." Harvye spoke quiet and low, making sure no others could hear him but the trainer.
