THE TRAVELLERS MINDSET IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED!-When you decide to study in Sweden. Ginger Kern explains in this video in a very enticing way what that means. I would like to add myself: 1. Everything takes time! Be patient and kind to yourself. It takes some mental effort to get used to a new culture, habits, people, climate, making friends, bureaucracy, and you name it! 2. If you really applied the travellers mindset you notice over time, that you have made, progress, new friends, learned a new language, found new hobbies, in short overcame challenges you thought you could never conquer! 3. The hardest part is then to come back to your home country. You just started to feel at home, you like your new adopted lifestyle and wish it would last forever. This is a GOOD SIGN! It means that you have grown as a person and have become more enriched and resilient! Congratulations!!Ooh and that you even can stand the cold winters of Sweden! ;) Ooh and if you wanna know more about the Traveller's Mindset9 I am sure you do), copy this like right here: http://travelersmindset.us/
THE HERMITAGE in st Petersburg- One of the most famous museums in the world and a must see! Even though you might not be a great fan of art or history, the building from the outside is impressive. Also to experience the rustique athomosphere in the several rooms( the museum is huge!)is really nice! Although I would not recommend to go without a guide, because all the signs are written in Russian!
STUDENT CRUISES & HALL-PARTIES- Okat so this is what happens when you put a bunch of nice students together on a cruise! Another impression of the Scanbalt student experience cruise. It was not only playing card games though. After all we are all students and studying on a swining cruise( of course because we were in the rough Baltic Sea) adds another dimension to it.Here a few tips when you're planning for a cruise: 1.Be always, always on time at the port! Missing the boat between two cities and especially in Russia is not an option. 2. For Russia you need a passport valid half a year after your travel.( Don't lose your passport in Russia, by the way) 3. Watch your belongings! 4.Take pills with you against travel sickness.( Stuck on a boat and feeling ill is not so fun). 5.ooh and in Russia you need to bring a dose of good humor with you!
AWESOME INTRO ST PETERSBURG AND GUEST VLOGGER- One of the great perks of traveling is that you always meet new people! They can really leave you with a memorable impression (Just want to pass this message to you guys). But not only that, sometimes they are even willing to co-create with you! In other words I had a spontaneous guest vlogger I want to show you:) Thank you Ivan for your contribution and teach me how to use a selfie-stick of course.;)
ST PETERSBURG & SCANBALT STUDENT EXPERIENCE CRUISE- Okay firstly, you'll see this video upside down! Because this is what happens when start , with a Selfie-stick! ;) A lot of people from Dalarna University went on this amazing and affordable student cruise. We were lucky enough to see tree amazing cities: Tallin, St Petersburg(yes, you got that right-in Russia!) and Helsinki. I made a series of vlogs, so you really get a feel of what these cities are like. Enjoy and who knows you get the chance to be on this cruise too when studying here at Dalarna University.
SAY HI TO THE NEW INTERNATIONAL SALSA TALENTS! Today we had a really fun salsa class organised in Tenoren, the place to be for student gatherings and events! This video shows you a nice impression of the enthusiastic athmosphere and when the salsa teacher said: Who would like to take over? A brave student took the lead and made us all wanting to shake our hips even more! ;)
THIS IS TENNOREN! The place were many activities and pubnights for students are organised! The student union,Studentkåren always promotes these fun activities very actively in uni and social media so you can't miss it! ;)
Stugahunting! You can't leave Sweden without a visit to a cabin in the woods. In this video I give you some tips on these awesome places! Also going to a typical "Stuga" is a bit adventureous. So you need to be prepared and take some supplies! Stuga checklist: water Bbq food flashlight lighter Toiletpaper coordinates of location warm clothes Plastic bag for the trash photocamera Your friends ;)
Sweden is all about experiencing the Nordic lifestyle to the max! This means: Skiing, dogsledding, snowmobiling and building snowcastles! During my data collection-trip to Sälen, which is the most populair ski-area in Sweden I made this video. Here you get a real sense of typical Sweden in wintertime. By the way: the data collection( In this case handing out surveys to tourists in the ski-resorts) is for the TDD program and is a very learning full experience. Especially for your thesis which you have to write the last months of your study-program. Enjoy the video! :)
