Sansa (wanted to draw her a bit creepy)
would they name their band houndbird or birdhound?
How do you interpret George saying "maybe I don't understand women [...] the Sansan thing took me by surprise."? Do you think he didn't expect so many people to love the ship?
I think he was just being tongue-in-cheek about it? "Took me by surprise" come on, now. Sandor was conceptualized as a tall, strong and dangerous man who looks like a medieval Peter Steele, a violent man who seems to have soft spot for one girl, the same girl who basically challenges him into human decency. I know George was aware of the abundance of Sandor-types of male leads in those old paperback romance books, so he definitely knew he was playing into some well-established female fantasies when creating Sandor and having him interact with Sansa. He purposefully played around with the dynamic using romantic undertones, so it shouldn't surprise him that there were so many people willing to indulge.

books or show, your choice. i've included ships that might make you go "huh", like tywin or stannis (apologies for lumping them together btw), but i assure you these are all variously established ships in fandom.
apologies to the harry hardyng, domeric bolton, willas tyrell and aegon iv shippers, i know keeping them off is egregious especially the latter couple since sansei only has 150 unfortunately this is my poll and i want sansei there. also sorry to the aegon ii/sansa and aemondsa shippers, i'm keeping this to asoiaf/got, i do see you. you have been seen. for better or worse.
i should probably have included an 'i dont ship her with anyone' option, that's my bad just pick other
