““If a Disney princess had night terrors, the story of Sansa Stark might be what woke her up screaming. Often overlooked in favor of her killer kid sister, the elder Stark sibling has had all her illusions about the world, and her safety in it, shattered. But her quiet, innate political shrewdness and emotional strength have enabled her to survive in a royal court that likely would have cost every other member of her family their heads. She’s the show’s best-kept secret.””
— Rollingstone about Sansa Stark in their list of top 40 game of thrones characters. Sansa is number 4. x (via tomlincum)

Sansa Stark and Paintings Parallels
You know what I think about when I watch this scene? I think about the conversation that Ned Stark and Jaime Lannister have about Ned’s father and brother.
Jaime: They didn’t deserve to die like that. Nobody deserves to die like that.
Ned: And you just stood there and watched.
Jaime: 500 men just stood there and watched. All the great knights of the Seven Kingdoms, you think anyone said a word, lifted a finger? No Lord Stark, 500 men and this room was silent as a crypt.
But Sansa wasn’t silent. A child, a prisoner of war, stuck up for a stranger because it was wrong to sit there and watch him die.

Her eyes and words are so icy. Oh, but she burns.

People say I was naive. I wasn't naive, I was a baby. — Daisy Jones
♕ I did what I had to do to survive, my lady.
# people who unfairly compair sansa and arya piss me off # they’re both fighting for survival # they’re both playing to win # but the thing a lot of people are failing to realize? # THEY’RE PLAYING /DIFFERENT/ GAMES # they’re not in the same category and they’re not working with the same tools # or in the same arena # quit fucking putting down sansa in comparison arya # quit portraying sword fighting as more noble than fighting with words # they’re both cunning # they’re both clever # you don’t need to insult sansa’s femininity to build up arya # they’re both amazing and they both fucking with the westeros gender roles
