He stumbles slightly, taking a few clumsy steps in an attempt to regain himself. “Huh, I'll have to try better next time, then.” He mumbles, putting a thumb to his lips.

To that, Mikah fixes the stranger with a look — brows tented and the corners of their lips tugged into a slight frown. It’s paired with a very quick once over, eyes dropping and rising with little more than a blink towards the stranger, before they tilt their head a bit.

“...It’s not gonna be much better “next time”.” they tell him, “You’re tellin’ me you’re gonna go from being predictable t’ not? I don’t think so.”

They then turn to face B fully, hands shoved into their pockets as they continue. “What d’ya want? I don’t want ya hanging over my shoulder for no reason.”

dakota’s into pegging. doesn’t do it often because a) she’s useless pansexual that prefers sleeping with women as opposed to men and b) the men that want to sleep with her don’t strike her as the type that’ll let her peg them ( which is some part of the reason why she won’t sleep with them and is generally very selective with men ).

joseph is quiet himself but likes his partners loud. and i mean “the neighbors probably know his name.” type of loud. he’ll always try to coax his partner into being a little louder for him with low hums and husky groans of “Louder.”, “I can barely hear you.”, “That’s still too soft.”, etc. until they get to a volume that he likes. he’ll only be satisfied if his partner ends up losing their voice the next day.

he'd been jotting down something in his notebook: an in-depth analysis of the latest song they'd learned in class. ivan had the pitch and melody down perfectly, though the lyrics of the chorus he still sometimes fumbled. nothing a little practise wouldn't fix, however, though he preferred to first dissect the entire piece to understand it a little better.

“ i can multitask, ” his response was just as dry, no greeting, nothing, he hadn't even bothered to look up from the notebook. “ what is it? ”

The redhead’s lips purse together briefly when Ivan doesn’t look up, but the expression comes and goes rather quickly. A more neutral one eases onto their face again, with them briefly peering at the notebook the raven was so fixated on. It’s not enough for them to actually read any of what Ivan’s written down, though, so their attention is pulled from it after a couple moments and their train of thought is back on what they’d approached him for.

“I have a song that I’ve been workin’ on that I want ya to listen t’.” Mikah tells him, leaning closer briefly so that their shoulder nudges his. “And ya gotta actually listen t’ it. No multitaskin’.”

“I give ya my attention whenever ya wanna bother me, don’t I?”

Brows rose in genuine surprise, and there was even the begining of a smile on the usually sullen face. "You kiddin' me ? Fucking finally !" He groaned, pleased. However, curiosity caught him quickly.

"How the hell ? SInce when just 'complaining' works ?" At least, it never worked for Duncan. Threatening, sure, but complaining ? It usually got things worse.

"Not like I hope it to be alive for long, but it's working now, so that's to be celebrated." His grandma always told him to enjoy the small happiness in life, and all that jazz. If this wasn't one of those 'small happiness', he didn't know what was.

"Dunno who managed to convince them, but I owe them a drink, at least." Duncan was smirking, definitely in a better mood than usual.

Complaining never works… not unless it’s well into the double digits — maybe even pushing triple digits. Their landlord was the type that needed a little...push. Said push, they were more than happy to provide.

“I’m sure someone will let the name of our “hero” slip eventually. All I heard is that it’s fixed — no mention of who threw what around.” they tell him, “Y’can buy ‘em drinks and I’ll throw in a meal, honestly. Shit’s been a pain in the ass for how long?”

“...I am gonna miss our little chats on the stairs, though. We can have them in the elevator but… ain’t the same, in my opinion.”

Mikah's hair is more burgundy than red in all honestly but like. My brain sometimes defaults to the fire truck variation because I know Mikah would hate it. It's easier to say red and clarifying is for losers.
