“Hey, I don’t know you personally so I hope you like my gift to you! I hope you have a great new Year’s and an amazing 2013. By the way, I kind of stalked your twitter to find out who your bias is, I’m assuming it’s Himchan but if it isn’t, I’m sorry and I hope you enjoy this anyway ” – Siham
You finally sat down after a long day of preparing for your first New Year’s with your love, Himchan. You sat there thinking about how it’s been months since you began this relationship and it already feels like you’re in love. No, you are in love with Kim Himchan and your stomach flips like crazy at the thought of him loving you back. You jumped when you felt your ringtone go off and squealed with excitement when you saw it was Himchan calling.
“Hello?” you said, trying to contain your excitement. “Are you coming home soon, baby? It’s nearly evening and it’s dark…” You bit your lip, suddenly worried for him.
“Ahh shit… I hate myself for this” Himchan groaned. You braced yourself… Something was wrong.
“Babe, I’m so sorry but I can’t spend New Year’s Eve with you this year…. Work is driving me crazy, all this preparations for our comeback and the Gayo Daejuns leaves me stuck at work...”
Your heart sank down to your stomach. ‘Not this again’ you thought as you felt your good mood quickly disappear. You were so anxious and excited to spend your first New Year’s with Himchan and now it’s all ruined.
“Oh…” you said quietly, trying to keep the disappointment out of your voice.
“I’m sorry I can’t be there. I know how much you were looking forward to our first New Year’s together,” he said sadly.
“That’s okay. I’m used to it anyways” the moment the words were out of your mouth, you wished you could take them back. “I- I mean, not that you d-”
“I feel so bad!” he groaned again. “I’m so, so sorry for always leaving you alone like this. It’s killing me knowing you’ll just be all on your own eating ice-cream or so-”
“Really, I’ll be fine! I could go out with the girls for dinner or something.” You said, trying to calm him down.
“Alright then… Enjoy yourself.” He said quietly.
“Thanks. And stop stressing out, okay? You can’t help it. It’s beyond your control.”
“I guess…”
“I love you.”
“Love you too.”
You looked at your phone again now and stared longingly at your wallpaper of Himchan. As much as you wanted Himchan not to feel bad about it, your heart was hurting at the thought of being alone on New Year’s once again. You were hoping this year would be different, that you’d be spending it with the most amazing man you’ve ever laid eyes on. Shaking away your wistful thoughts, you got back to work, filling your head instead with happy thoughts on how you’ll be spending time with him soon.
Finally, it’s New Year’s and once again, you’re spending it alone. It was fine during the day but now that it’s night, you can’t help but feel sad. But you tried your hardest to shake those thoughts away. ‘I’ll get to see him soon, that’s all that matters.’ You thought to yourself, climbing into bed. Your thoughts begin to drift away to thoughts of one Kim Himchan again and you find yourself gently falling asleep, wishing he was holding you right now.
Half awake, you heard the dinging, muted by the door, ringing through the house. You wondered who it was since its New Year’s and everyone is spending it with friends and family…. everyone but you. You sighed for what seems like the 100th time, wishing Himchan was here. But you know better than everyone else that he’s busy with preparations for comeback, meaning you have to spend New Year’s apart. You open the door and suddenly something grabs you close. “Get off me!!” you scream, scared of the assault.
“Somebody, help me!!!” You kept screaming until you suddenly hear a familiar laughter, a deep voice that you can’t mistake for anyone else.
“Himchan!? You scared the shit out of me!” Your eyes were wide but they softened and both of you laughed off your shock.
"You should've seen your face babe, it was priceless" Himchan said, still chuckling to himself as he leaned forward to peck your lips softly.
"Not. Funny." You muttered but leaned in for a kiss anyway, getting ready for that familar electric feeling that rushes through your veins everytime you're that close to him.
He started kissing your neck, brushing his soft lips on your collarbone, teasing you. You moaned feverishly, sending a shiver through Himchan’s body, until your eyes flashed open.
"Wait, why are you home? You said you'll be caught up at work and not come home for New Year’s..." You mumbled, not wanting to ruin the moment you were just having with him.
His eyes held a smirk and he started to chuckle again. "I decided to sneak out.... I'm going to get in a lot of trouble for this"
You widened your eyes in shock. "Kim Himchan! I can't believe you did this. I can't believe you did this for me... I don't want you to get into trouble" you said, looking at the ground. 'He's doing this for me' you thought guiltily.
Wondering why he was suddenly so silent, you looked up slightly too see his reaction and was shocked at the look he had on his face. He looked dazed, eyes not focused on anything. He stared at nothing in particular for a few seconds until he mumbled, “God, I love you so much.”
“Wh-what..?” you said, trying your hardest to keep your heart in control since it was beating at lightning speed. He grabbed you by both arms and looked into your eyes with such devotion and seriousness that it was making you feel faint.
“I would rather stay here and be with you the whole night. Don’t you know how much I love you?” he sighed looking slightly away. After a moment which seemed like forever, you found yourself yawning and blushed at the embarrassing act.
“You tired?” he asked chuckling at you once more as he walked in front and led you to your room. I nodded a little too vigorously. You climbed onto the bed and in a second your eyes changed and Himchan found himself leaning over you again as you pulled on his neck, embracing his lips with yours in a feverish kiss. He climbed onto the bed, a leg either side of yours, curving his back into yours to deepen the kiss. It was soft and sweet. He traced your mouth with his tongue before slipping it inside. She moaned again, prompting him to break away for air. You panted and your minty breath filled his nose. He became slightly worried that his didn’t smell so good but you weren’t deterred.
Himchan groaned as he collapsed next to you onto his side, letting his limbs tangle together where she slipped your own arms into his. He’d almost forgotten he hadn’t change into his pajamas yet but it didn’t matter, he was too tired and out of air to fix that. Himchan glanced into your eyes, feeling an incredible warmth and love radiating from them. He pecked your lips again slowly, not really wanting to leave them alone for too long.
“Good night” he whispered to you, kissing your nose. He pulled me even closer, until we were completely entangled.
sOBS hi bia heheh yea so i was ur secret santa!!! hAPPY BIRTHDAY consider this ur birthday present too ok :* i love u pls enjoy this~~
"It doesn't have to be perfect, Yongguk," Bia laughed as she watched him delicately and slowly hang a gold ornament on one of the tree's branches. He heaved a sigh, stepped back, and crossed his arms, carefully inspecting how it looked.
"I want it to look as pretty as you," Yongguk said in return and flashed Bia a grin. She fought back the blush that crept onto her cheeks and reached for another ornament in the box.
Due to Yongguk's finickiness, the couple finished decorating the Christmas tree after two hours. They stared in awe at the beauty of the tree after it was completed and practically shining in the middle of their living room. "It's great," Bia said with a smile.
Afterwards, they both got dressed in nice clothes (now was Bia's turn to be picky, taking half an hour to pick the perfect outfit) and left the apartment for the fancy restaurant nearby. They walked down the streets of Seoul hand-in-hand, unable to keep the smiles off their faces. Yongguk was always the happiest around Bia. He was happy when they first met, he was happy throughout their friendship, he was happy when they started dating, and he was happy today, after two years.
They got to the restaurant after a short walk and took a table for two near the back. It was quiet and neat, the perfect place for a romantic dinner between two lovers.
For the most part they ate in silence. Yongguk would occasionally look up at Bia to see her eating quietly, the smile never leaving her face. She looked up shortly after, caught him staring, and let out a nervous laugh. "Is something wrong? Do I have something on my chin?"
"No," He answered, shaking his head and laughing, "I was just wondering how I got so lucky."
Now Bia really couldn't stop smiling. Why was he being so mushy and sweet today? Sure, he was a sweetheart most days, but today there was something a little extra that she couldn't put her finger on.
After the peaceful, romantic dinner, Bia and Yongguk went to the ice-skating rink. It took a bit of persuading on Bia's part, Yongguk constantly saying, "I'm a horrible ice skater," and, "I'll fall on my ass," before he finally agreed. They put on their skates and headed out, Yongguk shaking and holding out his arms for balance almost immediately.
Bia took his hand and, slowly but surely, they began to skate together. "We're going so slow, pick it up a little," She teased Yongguk, pulling on his hand. He almost fell backwards but ended up catching his balance and skating up to meet her pace.
After a while, Yongguk finally seemed to get enough balance to skate faster, and the two decided to race. "On your mark, get set... Go!" They sped off, turning the rink corner and skating past other people who were watching with curious eyes. They were neck-and-neck for the majority of the race but, after pushing Yongguk down, Bia passed the finish line with raised arms and a cry of joy. She spun around to face Yongguk, who was now sitting on the ice laughing, and stuck her tongue out at him.
"You're a cheater!" Yongguk finally got up after attempting and falling flat on his face twice. He grabbed Bia by the arm and spun around with her until they were both on the floor laughing and smiling and holding onto each other's hands.
After spending a bit more time pushing each other around and racing off, Bia and Yongguk went to a snow hill and began to make a snowman. "It should have a carrot nose and top hat," Bia said, "But we don't have either of those..."
"Then we'll just make it really big instead!" Yongguk stated and got to work. It took the couple a while to get one ball together (mostly because they were too busy throwing snow at each other instead). It took them even longer to make the second, smaller ball of snow, and it felt like an eternity before they finally got the third one on top.
They stuck three rocks in a row in the middle snowball as a poor excuse for buttons and Bia drew a smiley face on the third snowball for a face. "It just needs one more thing..." Yongguk drew the Nike symbol on the first snowball. "Chyeah! Now it's perfect!"
Bia rolled her eyes and playfully shoved him "Stop trying, Yongguk."
"I don't know what you mean!" Yongguk rolled up a small ball of snow and threw it directly at Bia's side. She gasped in fake hurt, rolled up a ball herself, and threw it, only for it to hit Yongguk straight in the face. She almost fell to the floor in laughter.
That was the start of their snowball fight. After getting snowballed in the face, Yongguk began to frantically make snowballs and throw them wherever he could reach on Bia. Soon enough, they were both covered in snow. It even got to the point that they made forts out of snow, hiding behind them and calling out randomly made up battle cries before chucking a snowball at the other.
The snowball fight grew to be very loud and messy and they hadn't even noticed when the sun set and the moon slowly began to rise. Yongguk only realized the time when he glanced at the watch on his wrist. "Oh shit, it's time," He muttered under his breath.
"I surrender!" He called, slowly getting up from behind his snow fort with arms behind his head. Bia cheered in victory, ran up to him, and hugged him tight. They stayed like that for a few minutes, hugging underneath the Winter moonlight.
They pulled away when Bia exclaimed, "It's snowing!" and ran around, sticking her tongue out to catch snowflakes on. Yongguk watched her with the biggest, gummiest smile. Bia always got excited when it snowed. It was one of the things that made him fall in love with her.
After she had spent enough time freaking out over the snow, Yongguk took Bia by the hand over to a bench that gave a perfect view of the moon. They took a seat together and couldn't help but appreciate how beautiful it was that night. The snow drew a white blanket over everything and the moon seemed to make it light up, leaving the city looking magical. The scenery itself made the two happy.
However, Bia forgot all about the scenery when Yongguk slipped off of the bench and stood in front of her, sporting his usual gummy smile. "Are we going home already?" She asked with a furrowed brow and slightly disappointed tone.
Yongguk slowly leaned over and pressed a small kiss to Bia's cheek. "I love you so much," He whispered as he pulled away. She was blushing madly as she looked to the ground and giggled. "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, Bia."
"Why're you acting like this?" Bia asked, her eyes still fixated on the snow covering the ground, "It's nice and all, you acting so cute like this, but it's not like you. Not that you're not usually cute, you're just... You're just being a lot cuter than usual, okay? I don't know why but I really can't stand it. Not in a bad way! It's just that you're going to make me scream or som-"
Yongguk cut her off with a light kiss to her lips. "Bia," He chuckled quietly, "Do you know how much I love you?" Bia couldn't reply. She was taken aback by the sudden kiss. So Yongguk continued, "I love you more than life itself. I love you more than anybody else in the world. You are the most treasured person in my life. My everything. I don't know what I would do without you."
Bia's eyes grew wide as Yongguk got down on one knee. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Bia." He pulled out a small, black box from his coat pocket and opened it up, showing off the shiny ring placed inside. "Will you marry me?"
For half a second Bia had forgotten how to breathe. After regaining her composure (kind of), she jumped off the bench, threw her arms around Yongguk's neck, and screamed, "Yes! Yes! Oh my God, of course I will!"
They jumped around, hugged, and kissed each other before Yongguk slipped the ring on Bia's finger carefully. It sparkled and shined in the moonlight and Bia's breath was taken away as she stared at it. It was as if it was made perfectly for her hand.
She couldn't help but shed a few tears as she glanced between Yongguk and the ring. "Don't cry, then I'll start crying," Yongguk laughed and wiped away her tears. Bia only nodded in response, still speechless, and they shared a long kiss underneath the moon.
"Merry Christmas," Yongguk whispered against her lips, and they kissed once again.
