Chato leaned against the wall, not phased by the piercing cold air and dull skies, his eyes stared up into the clouds as thoughts continuously entered his mind. He wanted a break from the criminal life, he wanted to be normal for once, to be loved and respected from the heart and not by intimidation. He wasnāt getting any younger, heĀ wanted a family, someone he could come home to and assure him everything is okay.Ā
He couldnāt keep lying to himself, he missed her, Y/N. He missed the late night conversations, he missed the secret meet ups, the way her hand would perfectly fit into his, her soft angelic voice,Ā he missed seeing the way her eyes would lighten up when she saw him. She put him at ease, she made him feel loved.
He took a deep breath as he unlocked his phone, clicking on Y/N. He was nervous, worried that she would just ignore it, he was anxious. He paused for a couple of minutes deciding if it was really worth the heartbreak, he wasnāt sure but oh how he missed her, his angel Y/N.
Y/N P.O.V
I laid in my dimly lit room, thoughts rushing through my mind. My heart ached with pain, I couldnāt keep burying the fact I missed him, chato santana. I missed his warm embrace, his assuring smile, the conversations, the meet ups, the way his eyes would light up when IĀ came around.
There was no more of that, eventually we drifted, parted ways to never hear or see each other again. It broke me into millions of pieces, unlocking my phone a picture of us appeared behind the apps, causing a sad smile to form on my face making my heart ache even more. I clicked onto his name, ready to type a message but I paused, was it really worth the potential rejection? A sigh escaped my lips as I sat in silence.
Third Person P.O.V
Finally coming to a conclusion, they both pushed away their feelings and began to type to one another, the fingers slightly shaking from the nerves
āHey..how are you?ā
Their eyes scanned over the message contemplating if they should hit send, eventually the feeling of nervousness took over, causing them both to delete the message, locking their phones and sighing in defeat.
