so you guys know i have a service dog currently.

she can no longer keep up with the rigorous work it takes for service work due to worsening eyesight. she’ll be retired as my pet and enjoy the rest of her life as a couch potato. however, due to my epilepsy and type 1 diabetes, i have a doctors order for my service dog to be with me when i’m driving to alert me before an oncoming seizure or alert when my sugar drops.

i lose a lot of my independence without a dog and to continue working and living independently, i’m going to have to start on training another dog to take over. i’ve found a puppy from a breeder with both parents who are natural seizure alert dogs and the puppy has been tested by a behaviorist. the puppies cost is $1400 plus the gas to drive 6 hours away to get her.

i’m going to be picking up a lot of extra shifts but we’re also in the process of moving and it’s taking a lot of money. thank you!!

In November 2014, my tribe, Kiash Matchitiwuk - the Ancient Ones (Menominee), reseeded the Menominee River with wild rice. Exactly a month later, Aquila Resources, Inc applied for a Mining Permit a few miles upstream from our sacred place of origin.
