the sun rose above the horizon
as the moon made her descent
a celestial impossibility
made possible for our waking eyes
*
i drown in the warmth of the morning sky
my breath is stilled as i search for the light
i find it in you, my rising sun
*
you wander in the shadows
lost in the moonglow
at last you find me, your solar eclipse
*
our hands touch
our pulses race
our fates align
we are no longer a celestial impossibility
in that moment,
