I wrote this in a reblog I made of an ask sent to a different blog about the situation, but the reblog doesn't seem to be going through, so I'll say it here. I once again apologize to anybody I made uncomfortable. I have deleted the post in question and all other gender-swapped posts from my blog. Going forward, I will not post these sorts of things myself, or reblog any from others who have.

I should have asked first, I admit that, but it genuinely didn't occur to me. I'm a person, with a very busy irl life, and I make mistakes. I feel like people are taking my actions in bad faith, but I did not in any way mean to hurt anyone. I simply had a lapse and did something I shouldn't have done.

One last time, I apologize. (Sorry if I come off terse, I don't mean to, I've just had a long day irl and I'm very tired right now)

I'm sorry, but it's actually so odd to take a selfshipper's post made specifically about their male f/o without their consent, and change it to a different gender. Think about if that were a post about your ship and someone took it without even telling you and changed it around like that. It's kinda odd, right? I think you genuinely could have just liked the sentiment and wanted it to fit you better, so I don't think you had any bad intentions!! Just maybe think about how doing something like that could make other people feel.

i understand where you're coming from, anon. i didn't, don't, and never will mean to make anyone uncomfortable. if the op of a post i fem-ify (for lack of a better wording) wants me to take it down they can dm me or send me an ask and i'll take it down no problem. However, i disagree with your point about posts "specifically about their male f/o". it's not like i'm taking somebody's deeply personal gushing post and making it my own, i only do it to general imagine-type posts. i, personally, feel like it's a different story, but i understand some people might feel differently. and, like i said, if an op wants mine taken down because they're uncomfortable, that's fine!

however, as other people have stated far better than me in other posts, sapphic selfshippers are often left out of selfship circles. this isn't an attempt to steamroll anyone's boundaries or make anyone uncomfortable, just to create a place where sapphic selfshippers can love their f/os in peace.

that's just my two cents, though. i don't want to start drama, i just want a place for sapphic selfshippers to exist in peace. once again, i am sorry to anyone i have made uncomfortable.

the selfship community has to get more comfortable with the fact that women, lesbians, sapphics and feminine-presenting/aligned people exist in this community and i'm really tired of people pretending like i'm crazy for stating this, actually. like we in this community are way too comfortable throwing women & sapphics under the bus whenever something doesn't go our way, like rants about people not properly tagging female reader x readers immediately devolving into aggressive misogyny just because it's easier to do that than to criticize something people are doing that makes you uncomfortable. it's also easy to ignore posts like these because they make you uncomfortable. stop pretending like women and sapphics are responsible for your oppression.
