For the anon who wanted to paint their nails in the bi pride colors but was worried about their parents - just a reminder the rainbow stands for the whole community! If you would be okay with that as opposed to specifically the lesbian flag, it's something that still represents and validates you without outing you to your parents as bi
Thanks for this!! Great advice!!
I swear my friend are so stupid, honestly. They are both bi but they haven’t realised I’m gay yet. Seriously, I talk about Hayley kiyoko way too much for me to be straight. I love them but they can be so oblivious sometimes 😂 Smh.
Bahaha they’re gonna be like “oh DUH” once they finally realize! This is too funny 😂
Your post about simply identifying as sapphic or “I like girls” truly resonated with me bec rn I’m not sure if I like guys are not but I know for a fact I like girls and i can’t tell if it’s comp het ,internalized biphobia, or something else and lately I’ve been feeling really confused bec I’ve identified as bi for a while now but recently I’m starting to feel as though my attraction to guys is just platonic and Skskksksksks sexuality and labels are so confusing. Idk might just be a lesbian
yep I understand this so much, it’s so hard and confusing and isolating at times. But you are most definitely not alone in your feelings. Sending you lots of love my dear xx
im a 14 y/o bi child and i really like this girl, she’s just so great and apparently she’s liked me for 2 years??! but idk how to flirt or anything and i wanna hang out with her like every day but we live pretty far away and both our parents are strict about who we hang out with and how far away from home we go. i just,,, i dont wanna waste this summer not being around her that often :/
Ahh that’s so exciting!! Is there somewhere halfway like a pool or community center where you could ask your parents if you can take a class or swim? Or volunteer somewhere! It’d be a great way to see each other and have a regular commitment
hey, you’re awesome! thanks for all the work you do! ❤️🌻🌟😊
Aww, thank you! This made my night!! You are so kind 😊🥰
I’ve had a crush on a mutual on Twitter for a while now. At the beginning, I had been slightly discouraged because she said she wasn’t looking for a relationship when I sent an anon to her curiouscat but since then, she’s been posting about wanting a girlfriend. I do flirt with her sometimes although maybe a little awkwardly and we’ll like each others tweets about wanting gfs and we both find each other attractive but idk if she’s ACTUALLY interested in me and I’m afraid to find out...
To me it definitely sounds like she’s interested!! I would say keep flirting and just gradually get less subtle as you feel comfortable. I know it’s scary though, so just try to feel things out and see what happens!! You got this xx
Hi! I’m in need of some advice. I've been ID'ing as ace around three years and have been dating my girlfriend (also ace) for the last two. Over the past couple of months I've started having sexual fantasies about my girlfriend. I think I might be demisexual or it might be because of my new medication. I don't know how to bring this up to my S/o as I don't want to make her uncomfortable. I'd be more than alright in a celibate relationship but I feel she has a right to know | Maybe Demi Anon
as we are very open with each other and it doesn’t seem right to keep such a big thing from her. I don’t know my girlfriend’s feelings toward sex as we have rarely talked about it as I considered myself in the sex repulsed range before recently, and I do not enjoy having fantasies about situations she would not be comfortable with. | Maybe Demi Anon
Whoops, forgot to publish the whole question!
Regarding sex if it is okay to go into some detail in case you have any demi followers reading who might be able to help me out if I am actually demi or it’s my medication affecting my sex drive, I’m not interested in masturbation (or not at this point in time), but I fantasize about her touching me and vice versa and of eating her out. Thank you in advance for any help! | Maybe Demi Anon
Ahh I can relate to this actually and I’m sure have some who can as well. I’m on anxiety and depression meds and am unsure if they affect my sex drive but also relate pretty strongly to demisexuality! It’s tricky but for me right now, I’m just focusing on living my life and being comfortable, and the labels will come when they’re ready (or not). And that might not work for you which is definitely ok, so I would say just try out labeling yourself as Demi and see if it feels right for you where you’re at! I know it’s confusing and a process but you’re definitely not the only one who’s experienced this! Followers, please feel free to share your experiences!
i’ve been out as a lesbian since i was 12 (i’m almost 17 now). i realized recently i’m actually bi. i’m going to pride tmrw and wanna do my makeup & nails in the bi flag but i’m not out to my parents and they’re weird about bisexuality so i can’t come out to them rn. there’s no way for me to avoid them seeing and recognizing the flag. would it be wrong for me to use the lesbian pride flag even though i’m not one? i’m still out as a lesbian to almost everyone but i don’t wanna do something bad.
I don’t think it’d be wrong at all! You have to do what makes you feel comfortable and safe. And just remember that you are the most important person to yourself and you know yourself, even if others don’t.
TMI but how do y’all meet girls to sleep with or is everyone else as sexually frustrated as me
I was a camp counselor at a Christian camp too! It really sucked though lol because they made you sign this form basically saying you condemned all form of homosexually, which was really stupid. Sorry that this is random, but it's just really exciting to me because it's always seemed like all the other counselors were dinner religious straight girls...
Wow, I can’t believe they made you sign that, that’s horrible! I’m sorry you had to go through that. Don’t apologize, thank you for sharing! A lot of the other counselors I knew were pretty liberal and some weren’t straight and I know one who is now engaged to another woman! But yeah some of the really Christian ones were... less than accepting.
Btw I’m in Mexico City this week!! Does anyone have any suggestions for lgbt+ bars/spaces here?
I wld like2 send you a crying sea lion to brighten your day 💛💛
Omg whom IS she!! I love her and I will protect her, bless you for sending this
Oof that post you made a while ago about internalized biphobia SPOKE to me. I’ve also made a lot of progress in accepting my feelings for girls and am starting to realize I may not actually like boys. So I’ve read through all the comp het stuff, but I wish I was just gay rather than possibly bi. Like, liking girls seems indulgent to me if I know I can try to be with a boy if that makes sense? Also if I actually do like boys it’s way easier to feel fake about liking girls.
Ahh, I get where you’re coming from!! It’s so complicated and confusing. I’m trying to just let it be for now but ugh yes I feel that about feeling fake about liking girls which I know is ridiculous but yes the struggle is very real!!! Thank you so much for your message. We are in this together and I wish you love and peace for yourself xxx
i came out to my mom a couple months ago. we never talked about it. but i just thought she just didn’t care. i was okay with that. but just yesterday she informed me that she is very much embarrassed of me being a lesbian and she does not support it or accept it. i shouldn’t be surprised i guess. she’s extremely religious and always puts me down. but i just feel??? this is more of just a vent... i hope you don’t mind. i just needed to get this off my chest.
I don’t mind at all! Thank you for sharing with me. I’m so sorry to hear this. You don’t deserve that. You deserve to be able to communicate openly and especially to be loved and accepted for who you are. I’m sorry to hear about how she treats you and what she said. You are not an embarrassment at all. You are loved and perfect as you are. I hope your mom is able to reflect on herself and changes for the better. And I hope you always feel surrounded by people who make you feel like you have a family and community where you belong and are celebrated. We love you and support you and you deserve better than how your mom is treating you. Please feel free to message me whenever. I’m sending lots of love and best wishes xxx
this summer i’m going to a camp for a youth group type of thing. during camp we have one on ones where we talk deeply about life issues and it’s supposedly be extremely releasing and spiritual and open. the problem is, i don’t think i would get much out of it if i don’t mention being gay, but i’m also not sure how my leader feels about gays. she’s super amazing and understanding but religion can make things iffy. maybe you can offer some guidance? love your blog!
I definitely understand your dilemma! I grew up catholic and in catholic school and I went to Methodist summer camp. I never really was questioning my sexuality when I was still going to camp, but I did work as a counselor at a Christian summer camp after realizing I wasn’t straight and it can be tricky to navigate those spaces. Sometimes it seems like certain religious spaces are more accepting or becoming that way but it’s hard to know for sure! I definitely see why you want to be able to discuss your sexuality openly as it’s a part of you, and you deserve the space to do that. I think I would try to feel it out and since it sounds like you know the leader already and since there are one on one times, I would say feel her out and if you feel comfortable, definitely during one of those times or beforehand in a casual situation, bring upsexuality and kind of try to start a conversation. It’s definitely your call and I don’t want you to feel unsafe at any point. I’m sorry that you even have to be in this position of being unsure. But if you can talk with her, maybe even before camp, and bring up something lgbt and try to gauge her reaction, that might be your best bet! Again, it’s your sexuality and only you decide if and when you want to share it with others! But you definitely deserve to talk about it if you want to, and if you do, I hope she’s open and accepting and celebrates who you are! I wish you the very best and please feel free to message and keep me posted. I hope I could help even a little bit! Love you and I hope camp is wonderful xxx
