Info: Legend of Zelda/Metroid crossover with Samus and Zelda shipping. I really love the way the author made these two series work together and Samus and Zelda are adorable together.
So the thing is boobs really do be jiggling. If having breasts has taught me anything it is that the ladies frolic. I don't even have that large of boobs but every time I go down some stairs all I can think about is that stupid quote about boobing breastily down the stairs or whatever it is because God Damn.
But anime and video game boob jiggling is like. The most uncanny valley shit I've ever seen nine times out of ten. You would think people this horny about tits would have actually looked at some but I guess not.
What we really need is some pervert to compile the ultimate visual guide to boob bouncing physics that's just like 500 hours of meticulously organized videos of breasts of different size and shape and under different fabrics bouncing around from a wide variety of physical movements so horny game devs can finally get it right and I don't have to be creeped out by women who appear to have surgically implanted softballs in their chest under skin made of rubber bands.

I’m going to be honest I think Metroid is… not that much about motherhood.
I’ve seen really amazing essays people have written out to try and support this but it just.
Never feels right to me. I don’t think it’s as major of a theme as people make it out to be.
It’s much more about lonliness. It’s about a woman trying to find some connection to something and still feeling empty. It’s about discovering there is something left for you despite how desolate your surroundings might be. It’s about hope, and it’s about love, and kindness, and being there when you’re needed. It’s about the weight of the world being on your shoulders. It’s about fighting against the darkest part of you.
But… motherhood. I don’t know. It never really reads that way to me. I try to see it but it’s just… not as obvious to me as it seems to be to everyone else.
i think it's about motherhood about as much as anything else that would make someone (theoretically) less lonely.
on SR388 I don't think she spared the baby metroid because of the probable imprinting, i think she spared it because she saw it didn't try to kill her and she desperately wanted to not be alone, whether or not she was willing to accept that.
i think she probably grieved for it on Zebes, not because she saw it as her child but because she knew she was alone again.
in Fusion and Dread, there's not really anything to even point to motherhood at all.
i think if motherhood was the focus, Samus would be characterized differently, and the later games would probably be different to some degree too. I think the "motherhood" of her and the baby metroid is just an avenue for Samus to not be (in her eyes, hopelessly) alone.
😀 people are getting a little too comfortable gendering nonbinary characters anyway (Particularly talking they/them-only users here) for the sake of calling their ships yaoi or yuri. methinks
Body Horror: Things that cannot happen in real life.
EX: The Thing, stomach mouths, eyes on hands, etc
Gore: Fresh injuries, often severe.
EX: Severed leg, gutspill, deep gashes, etc
NEITHER: Healed injuries and burns, congenital differences, missing appendages, etc. If I could theoretically go to the store and see that character browsing the isles- It isn't body horror or gore. That's just a person.
*AND the amount of people that tag, not just fictional characters, but real human beings as body horror is staggering. Its not solely a fandom issue, ableism and bigotry against anyone that looks sufficiently "different" is prevalent in real life and has devastating consequences.

This is disappointing because Samus Aran is one of my favorite Nintendo characters and she looks very cool when she isn’t half naked and being penetrated by tentacles.
