Peach
Peaches and cream
Soft
When I touch
Holds my wrist and
Asks
More can I give
Taste her
Sweet and sharp
Like her
Tongue and
Rose petal lips as
If she tastes
Herself on me
Like I taste
My own worth
On her peach smile
Violets
A tissue-paper wrapping around wasted stems,
Bandages wrapped stupidly around already severed limbs.
Scattered limbs, scattered stems, scattered Osiris, Lured
By gold but you are lured by purple, like me, like bees.
Still youāre holding the violets, which are sort-of alive.
Wrappings removed, made rubbish, replaced with a
Showstopper, an engraved glass vase, obvious on a table.
The tablecloth is purple, too, like me, like you. Us.
The sun sets purple and I wait and watch, wilting
While the violets donāt. I thought they would.
I thought the water would poison them, or
Fizzle with the electricity in flower-veins.
Classical music allows plants to thrive, I heard.
We were a metal cacophony but now I think
We are a symphony, Ā soft purple tunes of a
Piano, made of ivory, smooth and big.
Smoother and bigger is the earth itself,
Swelling like a puffer-fish, reaching to the sun,
Like a flower, like a violet, I think.
Little petal, grant me faith, you are
Spring, purple among yellow narcissi.
And you, who holds the earth, my Atlas:
You are the Empress, shining, letting our
Violets grow in a field like purple silk sheets.
Scones flavoured with violets and cloaked
In whipped cream and shared under sunlight
And finished in purple moonlight and cherished
By the bundles of red string of us are perfect.
The violets were rooted from the soil.
It had crumbled to see them leave but I
Find I donāt mind because I like them
On the table, too. I like to love you.

in her eyes, you see suffering and hope, and the kind of hope that only comes with suffering. in her eyes, you see a weariness, a wisdom-those eyes belong on faces much older than hers. in her eyes, you see history and myth all rolled into one. in her eyes, you see wildfires, and things that grow from scorched earth. in her eyes, you see quiet in the middle of a hurricane. a peaceful unease. faux-safety. in her eyes, you see magic. (you didnāt believe in magic, before. nothing you canāt see with your own eyes, right? you can see it, now.) in her eyes, you see pasts unknown and futures yet to be predicted. in her eyes, you see the stars, like the love songs always say. they donāt tell you stars only exist within a void. youāre afraid if you keep looking, that void will suck you in. you donāt look away.
holy, holy, holyā
she is my sacred space
an outlet for my faith
all i believe in
and all that i am.
she is my sacrament
my spiritual wine
i am drunk off her presence
and she keeps me alive.
she is my heaven
as god is a man
and god says we are wrong
but no god will never understand my religion.
she is my church, my chapel
the cathedral that echoes my praise
her name is a prophecy in my mouth
and it tastes of my salvation
ā holy, holy, holy.
First Blackout poetry attempt
Muse
Be the muse who bleeds through every crack and every fissure of my broken soul. Let me pour you in, get drunk on your taste and dance to your breaths. Let me spill you on paper in crooked, shattered ways. Every day. On new pages with old inks. I want the world to see how romantic melancholy can be. I want them to hear how melodious trapped cries sound. I want them to feel how home can be. Just how you can make me bleed.
slipping her hand into mine only when the movie starts and the lights go out letting go when we come out of the woods scratched up legs from hiding a little off center her body tenses up at the sound of footsteps in front of her bedroom door I cling to her in the dark like I'm drowning wooden body in the sea leaving parties early to be alone together keeping my gaze down in crowded places too scared to know her how could it be wrong if it feels so right wrapped up in her arms I don't care about breathing her chest suffocating all my fears I think I might have found everything I was looking for

when will I stop searching for the words to tell the world / that we waded through unfamiliar streams / and made our own path through dark trees / that we held each otherās hands / and discovered how to love / and how can I say / i suppose it never was / as important to you / as you were to me / for now / all I can think / is the girl who once held your heart / wonāt keep it forever.
<3
Is it ok if the poems are lowkey sexual? š¹
It may be better if those go to another blog but feel free to submit anyways and Iāll read it thru! I just donāt want the whole blog to get flagged :/
do submissions have to be written in a certain form of poetry (haikus, couplet, sonnets, etc)? or are all types acceptable?
nope!! All types acceptable and welcome <3
how do we anonymously submit a poem?
you can send it through an anonymous ask, or several, and I will reprint it, or you can submit it and just note that you want it to be published anonymously! <3

I meet the first
Her voice is carried upon the wind
The sound of pure joy, clear mind
Her eyes are bright, she knows what she knows
They are grey, just like mine though hers seem to glow
Auburn hair, freckled checks
She is a guide, please teach me that I need not hide
Her smile radiates across the bar
Please don't stand so far
I greet the second
Her voice lingers in my ear
My eyes find the shine of her blonde hair
Clever conversation
Leads to frustration as I walk away without initiation
Strong smile, great style
Intelligent and wild
Why am I so vile
I remember the last
Round bright cheeks
I swear she's shorter than me
Deep brown windows for eyes
They just might be my demise
She speaks with passion, full of life
And I think I know that she is right
Her long dark hair rolls down her back
She shows me the confidence I lack
She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen
Why did God make me so keen
These are the faces of my imagination
The creatures of beauty that make a hell
Out of my limitation
