     It was dark outside, her gaze was looking up at the dark starry skies with her legs dangling off the side of the cliff. The pair were up in the mountains though in Steven case it had been using his meeting with the Champion to explore the mountains. Compared to the sky the skies here were much more beautiful not a hint of light pollution allowing the stars to shine and only the sound of nature.

     The two were relaxing, the former Champion having settled next to her to look at the sky with her. “I like it when the worlds quiet,” Steven’s voice was almost like a whisper yet she turned her gaze to him. He seemed thoughtful maybe even melancholy right now looking up at the sky appearing to enjoy the quiet. Turning her gaze back upwards to the heavens herself she hums just a bit at his words.

     “I do too, you don’t get this in the city. The Stars, the Quiet, it’s always so loud and bustling in the city even when it’s dark. Though when it’s quiet, it would be lonely at times, to just look up at it alone.” It was a little amusing to think about but the truth, these times were beautiful and amazing yet also so lonely. It makes her think about everything that has happened, what led her up to this point.

     Turning her head to the older male, she continued with a gentle laugh, “Heh which I guess it’s a good thing we aren’t alone huh? These kind of nights are best with other people or with pokemon at your side.”

     Haruka loved her father, ever since she was a little girl she can remember running after him whenever he went to train. He always seemed to enjoy her passion and drive to be like him and it shaped her view. When her parents divorced it was a stressful incident though she was already champion and thus more than grown up. Also, her father seemed so much happier now though she still visits her mom once in a while. Even if has issues with her.

    Haruka had done a surprise visit, wanting to catch up talking excitedly like she is a little kid again. Like how she battled another challenger today, performed in some contest in free time, and how they should train together. Despite being fully grown she couldn’t help but relax around the man’s presence. As she spoke the Petalburg Gym Leader was smiling.

     “I wish you were there but I know that you were at the Gym today and hey it gave me something to talk about~” Haruka piped having wrapped up her story as she plopped down on the couch of the house next to him. Her arms stretching in front of her like a Skitty as she hums in delight. “I hope I continue to keep making you proud.”

     He voice was a bit quieter at the end as she moves her hands to her lap turning her gaze down to the floor. A small silence came between them for a second, just a few, and suddenly she felt a hand on her head. Her eyes widened just a bit as she felt his hand gently ruffle her brown mane affectionately. Turning her head to look at him and she smiled leaning in happily knowing what it meant.

    He will always be proud and love of his little girl.
