If my life was a movie the most exciting parts would be the concert scenes. From the rising of the sun, my mood is elevated and my longing for fellowship has me all abuzz, the air around me is charged with electricity, and I float through my day with ease. As the sun sets, my pulse quickens, my pupils dilate, and no one can match my ability to prep, music blastin’, outfit ready, hair is done, lips and eyes poppin’, blunts rolled, drinks poured, pregame on a 1000%.
The closer we get to the venue the less focus I have, I can no longer maintain a conversation, I can not hear what you’re saying, tunnel vision sets in until we’re inside the theatre. A weight is lifted, we’re here, I can relax this is happening. If there are seats, I need to locate mine before any other moves are made. If it’s standing room a bathroom stop happens first and then I’m going in, slipping and sliding through the crowd until I have made my way to the front.
