Scary spoopy Dr. Randolph headcanons. Like what are scariest things he’s done, mutant headcanons maybe….
Sure! Hope you like what I managed to come up with:
Randolph is a sick individual with nearly no morals and little to no empathy. He doesn’t care for anyone’s life but his own, and he’d gladly doctor around with whatever mutation that is available. As such…he has done horrific things. Horrific, horrific, horrific things.
One of the examples of his crimes is what he did to poor Astrid. He did not just stuff her into the iron lung – a fate that is already bad enough – he took her apart before he did so. He cut her limbs straight off and placed what bag of living meat remained of her inside the tube, reattached her arm and placed the rest besides her, cursing her to watch herself rot into juice and bones and endure the horrific smell of decomposition while blindly rolling through a dark storage, cursed to remain there for the rest of time.
Another example is what he did to the patients. He is obsessed with keeping them alive, no matter the sickness, no matter the circumstances. For him, small wounds that are barely infected and literal disembowelment is no different. No life should be lost, even if death is the only right route to take. And if he fails with whatever experiment he forces upon them – such as modified medications or non-medical chemical infusions – he just restarts the whole day anew, repeating whatever necessary to ensure that no heart would ever stop beating.
One other cruel action was his punishment of Chef Sauer. After being served something that was not to his liking – it was not even bad, just a little unflavored – he lost his temper and showed how cruel he could truly be. Using drugs to stun him, he cut off the man’s legs and forced him within a pod of soup, filling it with water that was to forever boil. How the latter was ever achieved is a question that may never be answered, but we do know that from that day on, Chef Sauer experienced the sensation of burning alive every single day of his life. Randolph, being the sick man he is, enjoys the sight of it, proud of himself that he has reminded the cook why he should never be displeased.
One more thing he did was to punish Heideltraut. You see, the old woman had the tendency to stomp while walking. A noise that grinded on Dr. Randolph’s nerve due to his hypersensitive hearing. He tolerated it for a while, as the notorious nurse did his bidding beautifully, but after a particularly gruesome day already filled with headaches, he lost it. In an act of anger and in the hopes of silencing her walking, he forced her to let him cut off one of her legs, replacing it with a prothesis in order to slow her down in the hopes of silencing her stomping. It didn’t though…it did quite the opposite…and as such, he sent her away to a ward where he would no longer hear her. He didn’t give her back her leg, however, seeing its taking as a deserved punishment for daring to disturb his peace.
Then, there is what he has done to Nurse Sabine. Sabine’s objective is to always smile and show off her “perfect teeth”. But we all know, humans cannot always smile and sometimes focusing on a task is enough to wipe this expression off our face temporarily. Randolph witnessed this happening to Sabine, and as such, he acted. Using a scalpel, he cut off her lips and with the help of his bare hands, he broke her jaw, using several metallic objects to reconstruct it. What resulted was the smile we see in the game…and a woman who is always in extraordinarily agonizing pain, remembering to always smile or else she would face a punishment that is far worse than what she had already received.
