lovely colours :)
Decided to sell my big warping frame for space reasons, have a look on ebay if you are in need of one and can collect from South London. I'll do mates rates for a quick sell!
See here!
Horniman museum
Had the most lovely weekend with my good buddies Liz and Steve who came to visit. We did lots of fun stuff like visiting Battersea dogs home to say hello to all the lovely dogs and cats we are desperate to adopt but can't because we live in flats :( They have written about it here
We also went to Horniman museum in Forest Hill which you should definitely visit if you get the chance! It's pretty much the museum version of a Wes Anderson film, lots of pastel colours and odd creatures hanging about :) plus it's free which is always a winner :)
Two day weekends aren't long enough
I got the pictures through of the weaving workshop I led last weekend! I had such a lovely time, can't wait to do more!

Amazing cloth made by everyone at Chisenhale today! on Flickr.
today's workshop went really well! I didn't get time to take any photos apart from this one of the fabric woven on the table loom throughout the day. I'm so impressed with how well everyone took to it! there was a professional photographer so I'll share more pictures soon!

packed and ready to go for this afternoons weaving workshop at chisenhale gallery, pop by if your in east London!
home time
Came home to Lancashire for the week and spent this weekend doing my very favourite things which are going to the local farmers market and barn sale for thrifty shopping and a nice walk along the Leeds-Liverpool canal. I always forget how lovely and green it is here as opposed to London so try to make the most of it while I'm back.
London Cloth company tour
I spent Sunday afternoon having a tour around the London Cloth company in Hackney and finding out tons and tons about power loom weaving and having a good old snoop. As predicted I took far too many photos and fell fully in love with the cat (Flo Rida) If you get the chance you should go and visit them soon!

the situation at the moment
After intending to have a quiet few weeks me and Toby have picked up new projects to keep the flat messy. He's working on screen printing some designs with his new screen printing kit (which I'm hoping he can help me turn into printed bags sometime soon) and I'm working on avoiding prepping for my weaving workshop by making little hats for innocent drinks big knit campaign for autumn, not sure my mini knit skills are up to scratch quite yet!! I still have to finish threading my big loom which is ridiculous because it's been sitting looking at me for weeks. All in good time!
Getting my 4 shaft loom ready for a workshop I'm holding in a few weeks. There will be chance to try loads of different weaving techniques and take something home with you. I will talk more about it soon!
New Forest camping
Went camping in the New Forest last weekend for a very special birthday. The campsite was beautiful, the ponies roamed all over the road which was so lovely, we went kayaking and the friend in question enjoyed her birthday :) It was my first ever camping trip and I will definitely be back again soon!
Oh and I came home to THREE WHOLE ripe red tomatoes! exciting!

one little tomato is finally starting to look edible! exciting

bit of morning sunshine while threading up my new loom before work
I was really happy with how the Hush house supermarket went on Saturday but also really glad it's over so my living room is back to being a vaguely craft free zone and I can start concentrating on other things finally! Here are a few snapshots from my stall on the day. I added a few new products to fit into the family friendly vibe of the day which you can find over at my etsy. I'm thinking about selling my woven work separately from my DIY kits and velvet magpie things as two different etsy accounts. What do you think? Is that over complicating things a bit?
