Hello, coming to you as a larrie who supports concois for a little vent because I just can’t.
Just read this on that one larrie-turned-hudcon blog (you surely guess right which one)
As a larrie, i'm so used to Harry and Louis being a bit too obvious being followed up by heavy stunting, lashing out at fans, gaslighting and several narrative correcting tabloid articles. A not out gay couple just walking free out in public? Without us fans being called delusional for seing the obvious love between them, or without us getting a H and K public make out session to counteract all this? Like i'm not used to this?!?!
I knew this person has a huge problem with double standarts as they are anti-concois/believes they were failed PR relationship but this just got too much for me. First thing, and I wrote that in the beginning of the year already, that is absolutely not right to use all the larrie optics to hudcon. They are in the absolutely different situation and this huge push of hudcon as larry 2.0 is just too much. Another thing is how they act all shocked that we get to see hudcon doing all these things when in fact this is exactly what they did last year when filming season 1 when literally noone was in this fandom because nobody knew about them - they went hiking, to restaurants, C stayed at H’s, they shared clothes, hugging frequently, post each other on their instagram etc etc. Were they dating back then? Obviously not, H was with K and C was just about to fall in love meet F. This blogger stated that C and F were fake because they got papped and used their dinner date pap photos sold to TMZ as an absolute proof. H and K are also fake because they got papped. And now we got hudcon papped and suddenly it’s all ‘cute’ and ‘look at that lovey dovey couple’ when the main reason is very simple - to boost the engagement for season 2 of HR. Funniest part is that like a week ago they were sure hudcon are in the very secret relationship and they will never get papped to not be obvious but that opinion aged like a milk because now they can get papped and that probably means they are boosting their power couple status. Uuuuuuugh!!!!
I have really nothing to add to what you have already written because I agree with you.
Looking at Hudson and Connor with the Larry lense is in my opinion the biggest mistake a person could do. Harry and Louis situation couldn't be more different not even if they tried. They are more than two different planets, they do not even belong to the same galaxy.
Yes, being a larrie has thaught us how to spot planned paps to set a narrative: and this is precisely why we can say that François and Connor launched their relationship for the GP at the beginning of the year and why Hudson and Connor paps from Toronto are the very first step of season 2 promo.
Being a larrie has also thaught us how to spot the hints of a possible closet/bearding/pr situation and honestly, there is none here.

You hit the key point here: their behaviour hasn't changed. So if Hudson is closeted now and Connor is in a glass closet now, this means they were last year too as the situation is the same. But what should have been the point to closet an unknown actor who work as a waiter to pay the bills? And who should have closeted him? His non existent [at the time] management team? The cinema industry who didn't even know he existed? And why, as he clearly had no straight fanbase to gather to? And about Connor, are we talking of the same guy who used to write "IF I liked girls" on IG public comments? Connor has been papped with girls since last year and every single time his team could have turned it into a bearding/closet situation if this was the goal. We have even pics of him and his female friend holding hands. He clearly is not in the closet and does not want to, he just wants to be private to avoid mass harassement. So how does it work? A half of the couple is in the deep closet while the other half is free to be known as gay? This is where nothing has sense. And, even if they would want to erase him from Earth, François exists and Connor clearly loves him.
Add to this the fact that, in order to prove their point, they have been actively hating, harassing and launching a global boycott mass hate campaign towards François, a man who is one of the kindest people on this whole planet, just for the mere fact to be in love with Connor.
I'm not hypocrital and I perfectly know where I come from: I have always spoken bad about Harry and Louis' beards, especially the most problematic ones like Olivia Wilde. And with a reason: not only people like her were professional beards heavily contributing to maintain the homophobic status quo in Hollywood, but she is a proven horrible person, bestie with Harvey Weistein and other monsters like him, beyond involving her children in her PR circus. None of those girls are good people, some of them are just less horrible than others.
I really don't understand how they cannot see the difference.
But anyway, I am not here for this. I am here to enjoy my fave actors and shows and try to focus on the positiveness that I can find. My attitude towards things in general has heavily changed in the last couple of years and I now focus my energy only on the things that bring me joy. Like (in this case) heated rivarly, Connor and François as individuals and the beautiful powerful queer it couple they are.
