I'm kinda new to Tumblr and English is not my first language so please bear with me! I go by the pronounces she/her.
I mostly write reader/oc x canon wether it's romantic or platonic, my favorite genres to write are fluff, comedy, action, romance, slow burn. I also like angst and comfort but not sure if I'm so good at writing these two(you read and decide). I do other genres too so it's not only these mentioned up here. I'm also open to requests and suggestions.
What I DO NOT do is f/f & m/m, nsfw/smut, omega verse, lemon, lime, incest and pedo. So if that's what you want to read, I'm gonna act like I dropped my glasses oops!
Another you might want to know is that sometimes I can be really slow at writing requests and else, it's either because I'm lacking of passion or muse or time.. etc. So please keep that in mind when sending a request.
My longer works wich contain multi-chapter—just like Nights—are on my AO3 account and the pseud is sarotati too.
Also, I'm a ROTBB fan... If it's not clear enough haha.
Here's a small gift (//∇//) I tried to draw nari as perfectly as possible, i suffered a bit with her hair.. but hope you like it!
As you see..I REALLY love Second-gen disciple uniform for girls it's so Gorgeous TT
Alsoo!! recently, i started to read can you hear? (I am here) I'm still at the beginning, and even now I thank you for every second you made me laugh
would you believe me if i say i had to sit up when i saw the art because I DID AND IT'S SO GORGEOUS HELPPP
tysmmmm for the gift I love it endless you got her hair so nice and pretty it's getting me kinda emotional o(╥﹏╥)o I'm also so glad that this fic made you laugh!!
Help I can't stop staring she just looks so beautiful つ﹏ɵ̷̥̥᷅
I know this might sound a little strange or even silly, but I'm confused about this point. If I remember correctly, nari is actually an older woman even though her appearance doesn't show it, so I want to know her real age exactly. Is she really in her 50s or 60s? If so, how could she have a child? As far as I know a woman's ability to have children decreases a lot or ends as she gets older Or is she actually closer to her late 40s rather than her 50s or 60s?
Don't worry you're not the first to ask that, anon ^^
Yes Nari is something around 50 (physically) her mental age is something around 70.
You know how they say that good cultivation makes one stop aging? So if the person lives in a 80 years old body (like cm), this body functions like 30 yo one, with all the traits of a 30 yo body such as fertility.
I mean it wouldn't make sense that cultivation could achieve something so magical like looking so young at the age of 50 is possible yet it wouldn't be able to maintain something like being fertile (which is in fact more realistic to happen)
Plus she didn't count on cultivation only, Nari used some poisons to stop her aging, and such a thing probably maintained her fertility.
So yeah she might have lived for 50 something years, but her body is not only younger looking but functions like an actual young one.
I hope this doesn’t sound rude! Beacause I’m genuinely curious!
as a mahwa reader only I thought Chung myung saw Tang Soso as the other disciple, like a kid or a granddaughter like the other disciples?
Does it eventually change in the novel? Do they get together or have some romantic interaction??
Don't worry dear Anon it wasn't rude at all!
And I'm sorry if you want these two together, but the work is a zero romance. They see each other as companions and friends only. But there isn't romantic feelings between them.
I'm not fully caught up to the novel (I'm around 1600 currently) but I've been spoiled a lot (sigh...) so you can trust me to some extent. Not only these two but there's also no romantic relationships between any other characters (which i like tbh). But dw i mean that's what shipping is there for (right?) you can ship them if you want to (i kinda do too) use use your imaginationnnnnn
I hope you're doing well! I absolutely loved the latest chapter, thank you for the amazing work!
So not to make this so long I was going through my textbooks and found this
I don't exactly remember when I made this doodle but it's supposed to be reader right after she transmigrated into rotbb world. So I thought you might wanna see it(?) She's so pretty (geol doesn't know shit how dare he call her ugly) and smart! I adore her sm ˃͈◡˂͈ and so excited for future updates. No pressure tho~ take your time <3
Halluuu!!
WAAAWWW This is so pretty!! I have always loved your artstyle, and seeing you draw something for my fanfic makes me so happy! I'm so flattered!! Thank you for drawing this!!
I also drew something for u too :]
It's your oc from Nights!
I'm excited for what you have in store for the next chapter! Take care of yourself and remember to not rush peak.
Let's pretend that she just had the best sleep of her life instead of me forgetting to draw her eyebags haha...
When I saw your post with your art of her, I genuinely thought that she was pretty. That art was the reason why I started reading Nights hehe. I absolutely fell in love with her while reading your fic! She has this sort of aura that makes readers hang on to her every thought.
I completely forgot that Soso was this cool in the beginning, in the webcomic she's gasping and wheezing, but in the novel she was running and brewing tea
She's such a noble lady, i love her so much.
Something i noticed since my first read and find endlessly endearing is how she is really representing feminity in the novel.
Yu Iseol does not represent feminity. She's a woman alright, but that's it(?) It doesn't really impacts her because she doesn't identify with her genre but with her purpose ("don't think of me as a woman"), she's a soldier in that sense, androgynous! She has no closeness to neither men or women (the novel says that she has sagos) and doesn't care about how others percieve her. Once Cheongmyeong comes to the picture, even the ones that percieved her as "the prettiest girl" forget that because she acts openly crazy xD and is one of the strongest. Even at the times she encounters sexism (either hostile or condescendig), it doesn't matter differently that the clasism everyone from Hwasan encounters
But all of that matters to Soso!
Soso is the real and only girl representation because she deals with problems that no one else cares nor have no idea about in the novel like the marriage thing, the filial piety she owes to Tang Gunak, the use of her own personhood to honour her clan, the meaning of her appearance in politics and socializing, the fact that she recognizes Yu Iseol as some kind of love rival (social dynamics no one else knows), even in late chapters things like sexism from the Namgung or how people percieves her since she changed her appearance- she notices those things and responds to it.
Even when she is a really good fighter, her priority is her caring role as a physician (a little agressive, bur caring anyway). That's also why she's better that anyone at letting others protect her, she knows where her strengths excels and that the battle extends beyond the enemy's presence. She's not a soldier, she may be a fighter, but her identity goes beyond the sword, it includes the life she protects and saves, her community, her family (both the blood one and the choosen one)
Also she's a girls's girl, a daddy's girl and an older sister, she's so girly, i love her soooo. I like to think that Yu Iseol sees her and comes to like the fact that she's also a woman, that their friendship/relationship (either anyone takes them as a romantic ship or not) is different from the way they live with the boys because Soso teaches her to be affectionate physically, to care for her hair and that even if being a women doesn't make them stronger than men, it also doesn't make them less
(Also as a headcanon- i just love the idea of Soso being a full lesbian, even when she was pursuing Cheongmyeong, she was doing BUSINESS!! But she doesn't consider Cheongmyeong can be uninterested in women because she couldn't be uninterested either. She's like "women are more attractive than men, everyone thinks the same, amirite?" "no, Soso, some people actually like men" "ew why")
Idk dude i just love my girls, they're so precious, i remember being indignated in the webcomic when everyone was supposed to be there and Yu Iseol was behind some letters, stop, she's a ghost alright, let her fade in the background i guess, but you can't do that to Soso!
Today my mind is being consumed by the thought that, before the war, Cheongmyeong must have the most beautiful sword ever.
I have been collecting fighting descriptions in the novel and a recurring theme is that Hwasan's sword is dazzling, striking and magnificent, feints with beautiful and swift movements, not too fast but seeming fantastical
However, any narrative of people seeing Cheongmyeong fighting seriously is like "terrifying, desesperante, suicidal", he fights with everything in the line, for his life and everyone that depends on him. His sword in the second life is lethal and violent, still perfect but that's only appreciated when he wants to show something
He says that he had to reinvent himself and everything he knew about martial arts in the war. It physically hurts me to think about his beautiful technique being overwhelmed by the violence and dying itself of the brutality needed to survive, he, scared and desperate to change and learn and keep on...
Thinking about Geomjon... Without an arm... I love him...
Hey mamasita... Remember the fic u wrote about Chung Myung meeting his niece? What if he met his DAUGHTER? Or son, idrm, but I NEED to know how he would react when he realizes he had a one night stand he couldn't remember and this caused him to have a bastard (yes it's mean but it's the truth) child born out of wedlock... Even better if the mom is still alive and present!!
(I'm the one who wrote the ask of u being one of my favorite writers 🫣 u still are btw 🥹)
How Could You Not Notice?
[Chung Myung & or x Reader] idk if reader is the daughter or mother.
Summary: Chung Myung didn't know why Tang Bo was asking him such weird question!
WC: 1.9K
Trigger Warning(s): Crack, misunderstanding, implied accidental hookup, excessive drinking, surprising child reveal, Chung Myung panicked lol, second hand embarrassment (?), Chung Myung experiencing psychological death in real time, implied one night stand, public humiliation / scandal, deadbeat dad accusation (sorta), poor abused Tang Bo (like obv), extremely irresponsible adults, family reveal (shockkk), chaos, confusion, drunken intimacy (implied).
Note: takes a place in pbss era, Chung Myung is in his forties, no spoilers are here expect for a hint of one of his nicknames that was revealed in the side story. (I should pay more attention to spoilers, sighhh.)
A/N: this was so easy to write lol, I finished it in one sitting (if we don't count the time I had to use the toilet). By the way I still think that Chung Myung thinks women get pregnant through kissing cuz that what I thought as a kid lol. Also, I'm so proud of myself for being one of your fave writers hehehhehe <333 thatn you so much!
Enjoy~

"Your order's ready!"
The young waitress set down plate after plate of delicious-smelling food onto the table. Chung Myung practically started drooling at the sight, while Tang Bo silently stared between the man seated across from him, the endless dishes still being placed on the table, and the waitress herself, who looked about fifteen or something around that age.
"Anything else for you sirs?"
"Nope! Thanks already!"
Chung Myung answered while stuffing food into his mouth as if he had a personal grudge against it.
"Tsk tsk, the food at the sect is declining at an absurd rate. I'll make sure to throw out that lazy cook..."
"It's not the poor cook's fault... Taoist sects just don't like extravagance when it comes to food."
Chung Myung clicked his tongue without even lifting his head.
"I only live once, but I'm supposed to deny myself the pleasure of eating something good? Convince me."
"Well, I'm not a Taoist, so..."
Tang Bo had absolutely no reason to involve himself in this argument, so he simply saved himself the headache.
A smart and safe choice. Surprisingly mature coming from this man.
Chung Myung stared at Tang Bo for a moment, noticing he still hadn't touched the food yet. He raised a brow.
"Is there a problem?"
"Hmm... it's just..."
Tang Bo stared at him with unusual intensity. Chung Myung almost leaned back, but merely narrowed his eyes instead.
"Spit it out already."
"Hyung-nim... why do you come to this restaurant so often?"
Seeing the suspicious look on Tang Bo's face, Chung Myung blinked dumbly. He glanced at the food, then around the restaurant, before looking back at his friend.
"It's a good restaurant. And if you think the food's bad, you should check whether your mouth is still functioning. Maybe you swallowed poison strong enough to make you unable to realize what good food tastes like."
"It's not that..."
Tang Bo's shoulders noticeably slumped, and he let out a helpless sigh while observing the few customers around them. Everyone seemed focused on their meals aside from a few curious glances here and there. Which was natural, considering the two of them very obviously looked like martial artists, but still...
He looked back at the man in front of him, who continued chewing while waiting for an answer with curious eyes... as if the food would run away if he paused for a second.
Carefully, Tang Bo opened his mouth.
"Just to make sure... Hyung-nim isn't married, right?"
"Ghk! Cough cough coughkghkghk!"
Chung Myung choked on his food and slammed a fist against his chest. Before he could think of reaching for the drink, his elbow knocked over the nearby bottle, spilling its contents across the table before it started dripping onto the floor.
Tang Bo sighed and briefly considered whether he should just let him choke to death. In the end, before the man could actually die, he poured him some alcohol himself and handed it over.
Chung Myung downed it in one gulp and inhaled sharply. Tang Bo looked between the man glaring murderous daggers at him and the waitress approaching while grumbling about the mess he had caused.
"Aigoo!! What's wrong with you all of a sudden?! Asking weird questions out of the blue! Where did that even come from?! You know perfectly well I'm not married!"
"Then... you don't have any children?"
"Where exactly would I get a child from if I'm not married?"
Chung Myung snapped in irritation mixed with confusion while bringing the cup to his lips.
"Hoh..."
Whatever reaction he had expected, it certainly didn't come from Tang Bo like it should be expected.
Chung Myung looked to his right.
The young waitress was staring at him with interest, one hand still holding the cleaning cloth against the wet table, though she had stopped wiping it entirely.
"And here I was wondering how you still had the nerve to keep coming to my mother's restaurant, but turns out you don't even know..."
Chung Myung stared at the girl, who clicked her tongue in a manner that felt disturbingly familiar somehow.
Unusually slowly, he swallowed his drink, needing a moment to process the face before him. She looked familiar. Weirdly familiar.
He kept staring.
The pink eyes. That evaluative gaze. The slight arch of the brows, subtle but undeniably there. Though her face shape was far softer than his.
"PFFFFT-"
Tang Bo closed his eyes as alcohol sprayed directly into his face. He rubbed at his eyelids with his fingertips before staring blankly at the man across from him.
Unlike him, Chung Myung had recoiled in his seat as though he had just seen a ghost. He looked between the young waitress and his friend as if Tang Bo was somehow supposed to explain the situation.
'Ancestors above...'
Patience. He desperately needed patience.
"Hyung-nim... are you sure you don't have a child?"
"W-What kind of nonsense is that!? Impossible! I don't remember having one!"
This time, Chung Myung answered far more defensively, though his eyes kept darting back toward the girl who resembled him to a genuinely unreasonable degree.
"Impossible... no way."
"Mom said you were extremely drunk."
The waitress shrugged as though she had already come to terms with how insane this whole thing sounded. Chung Myung, meanwhile, looked horrified.
"Impossible! I don't remember being drunk enough for that!"
"How would you remember being drunk if you don't remember doing it at all?"
Tang Bo felt a little sorry for Chung Myung, who genuinely looked like his soul was beginning to leave his body.
He glanced nervously at the few customers in the restaurant, afraid they might have heard all this... but that fear vanished and was replaced with a far worse one when he noticed the complete lack of shock on their faces.
As if they had suspected it for a very long time already.
Chung Myung clasped his fists together, elbows resting on the table, his head lowered.
'My life is over.'
Just wait until Chung Mun finds out. Forget the Repentance Cave, he might actually be buried alive at this rate.
"I can't believe you never even bothered looking at my face properly. I've been helping my mother here for five years."
"I just... don't look at mirrors much..."
Chung Myung spoke in a voice that had already lost the will to live. His mind was racing at such horrifying speed that he couldn't even hear whatever the girl was saying to Tang Bo anymore.
Then a voice called out from the kitchen. A woman's voice calling someone's name. The waitress, who had just been painfully revealed to be his daughter, turned toward the kitchen.
"Yes, Mom?"
"Why are you taking so long? There are dishes waiting."
"Coming~"
The girl shot one last mischievous glance toward her dying father, who looked like he was desperately trying to remember when exactly he had done "that" and failing miserably. The curtain swayed behind the little menace as she disappeared into the kitchen.
Then, for a brief moment, a hand pulled the thin curtain aside again.
A woman who looked to be in her late thirties glanced around the restaurant before finally stopping on him.
She stared at him silently for a moment before letting the curtain fall shut once more.
The only thing Chung Myung could think was...
'Oh. I get it now.'
A woman with that face... and if he really had been that drunk, then there was really a possibility...
Chung Myung smiled to himself. It was the smile of a man experiencing profound despair.
Across from him, Tang Bo was still trying to wipe the alcohol off his face with the napkin the girl had handed him so he could at least look somewhat presentable. Though his hair was annoyingly sticky too, but what could he even do about that?
He stared at his friend, who was clearly planning where to spend the rest of his life. Anywhere far away from Chung Mun's sight would probably suffice.
Tang Bo sighed helplessly.
Apparently, not even Chung Myung can 100% survive a beautiful face.
.
.
.
"You! Seriously! It's late already!"
The young woman complained as she stepped out of the kitchen, removing her apron and tossing it onto one of the tables.
She approached the only occupied table left and planted her hands on her hips while tapping her foot against the ground.
"Good grief... do you even know what time it is? I finally understand why people call you a drifter."
She tried shaking him awake by the shoulder, but he merely grumbled stubbornly in response. The woman exhaled irritably and rubbed the bridge of her nose.
"If you don't get up right now, I'm never selling you alcohol again."
It was an empty threat. There were plenty of taverns where he could buy alcohol. But for a man this drunk, basic mathematics were already beyond him.
Chung Myung jolted and finally lifted his head. He nearly collapsed face-first onto the table again, but somehow held himself together through the sheer power of alcoholism alone. He stared at her with an expression that was equal parts drunkenness and annoyance.
"You can't. You wouldn't dare."
Seeing a reaction that nothing except alcohol could ever drag out of him, a small amused smile slipped onto her lips.
The restaurant owner leaned in slightly. Not too much, not close at all, but closer than before.
For a man whose head was spinning, that difference was either impossible to notice or catastrophically overwhelming.
"Want to test me, hm~?"
.
.
.
Chung Myung stared up at the starry sky, lying across some cliffside atop one of Mount Hua's peaks. The cool breeze brushed gently against his skin and stirred the trees and tall grass into soft swaying motions.
After countless attempts, he had barely managed to remember...
Even then, his memories faded out at a certain point.
Chung Myung grabbed his face and groaned.
He was genuinely doomed if Chung Mun ever found out about that girl.
'Though the mother seemed really fine...'
"My god!! Shut up! Shut up!!"
Chung Myung repeatedly slapped himself, scolding himself for even thinking that. Though honestly, he wasn't sure why exactly the thought angered him so much.
Maybe because it was yet another piece of evidence proving he really had done it.
Anyone watching him would think he'd started losing his mind. Chung Myung would wholeheartedly agree with them, whoever they'd be.
UGGHHH THE COMIC DOESN'T DO THEM JUSTICE, CHEONGMYEONG IS SMILING IN THAT FLASHBACK, Tang Bo makes him smile in the worst of the war, they're best friends your honor (and my OTP!), they're happy togetheeerrrrr 😭😭😭
The comic does something different than the dialogues of the novel, but i really like to notice that Cheongmyeong learned some things secondhanded- Tang Bo was better articulated, capable of expressing emotions in words and, since he was having crisis and regrets already because he was more of a normal-social-terrenal person, some of the pondering was shared to Cheongmyeong. At that moment he didn't had the same conviction than Tang Bo, but was starting to agree with him "i'm not a good elder too/i should help too/i will do it (after the war) too"
Thinking about his different actions in his second life, i think he emulates Tang Bo more than we know
This is actually good that there won't be chapter this sunday. *puts on glasses and takes out massive whiteboard with random mathematical formulas* Because as you can see, scientifically speaking, it doesn't matter how good a writer is. If a writer does not get proper rest, cortisol levels skyrocket and dopamine and adrenaline levels lower resulting in a significant decrease in quality and productivity. *points at random formula* And due to this drop in quality and productivity, the demand curve shifts since readers will no longer be as interested and will start seeking out an alternative in order to be able to replenish their dopamine levels that have also dropped but will not be able to since alternatives don't quite hit the spot like the original does. Just like boiled potatoes cannot replace french fries or sugar/honey with artificial sweeteners. *takes another deep breath* and as a result this will also affect both providers and consumers in their day to day lives because as you can see—
I wish I could be smart and analyze data like this without knowing anything about how to analyze data. (For no reason but i mean it just looks cool)
Also my fic compared to french fries!?? Omg!
Anyways–
That's actually so.. tempting 🤔 like y'know.
But yk what's so bad? It doesn't matter if I don't finish the chapter by Sunday, cuz I'll be burning out anyway (*ˊᗜˋ*) which is, if you're wondering, because for some reason.. instead of having "finals week" like normal ppl, i have "finals month"
Mom: but it's not only you, your other colleagues are going through the same–
Me: *puts a finger on her lips* shhh mom, you don't know who could hear you. Walls have ears.
(my other colleagues suffer even more, at least I'm good at English to some extent and most of our subjects require very good English + plus I got some help from a senior ꉂꉂ(ᵔᗜᵔ◍))
So, I'm going to tryyyy to finish it! ( ◕ᗜ◕ ) 🔫 Who knows! I might surprise myself like I did last week hohoho. No promises tho.
