So, happy new years, happy (vary late) birthday for me, happy Valentine's day, happy Carnival, happy woman's day and happy day in general, hope i didn't miss any important holiday— But! I crawled out of my grave and I'm finally back baby! And I have some art of my darling Rise of the tmnt oc Venus~
Venus and Mikey I like to imagine them are like twins, close enough age, they get along well, their traits unintentionaly but then intentionaly paralleling with each other and both of them vary able with their mystic arts. Also I gave Mikey some more orange spots on his face because why not plus I wanted them to match a little more.
Now I also find it funny when- classic Leo, makes one of his cheesy ass jokes, no one of the brothers laugh, but Venus is the only one who cracks because she has an absolutely wack sense of humor. She's one of those people that when a good thought out joke is said, she will not laugh or get it, but a stupid joke? Now that's her stuff.
Yes she is wearing Hachi's/Nana Komatsu outfit in that drawing, just blue.
Venus is closest with Mikey and Donnie, often hanging out together and got especially close at the time just before the movie, when Leo and Raph were beefing a lot. I can see Venus being one of the few people Donnie trusts in his lab since she wont be there touching shit she shouldn't be, maybe she could even give him a hand or have a little preview on what he's working on. Sometimes all three of them, Vee, Mikey and Donnie would go to the junkyard, searching for parts for Donnie's inventions.
Raph and Vee both have spiky shells! Since Vee is a map turtle. Venus and Raph also get along well, both of them being pretty responsible and stuff, but not too close in a meaningful way, mainly because I see Venus as not wanting to be just another sibling/problem that Raph has to take care of. Venus can see how stressed out Raph can get with those three and she doesn't wanna add to it, so she tries to be as self sufficient and reliable as she can... But that also results on her becoming more closed off.
As you can see, Venus' design has also slightly changed since the first time I posted her, I like her much better now. I know I was trying to do something more original with her scarf braid but the mask braid it just looks cuter. I also apologise if the art style looks different in every drawing, it's just that all of these drawings were made through the six months I haven't posted (´-﹏-`；) (Jesus, it has been six months?? ಥ‿ಥ)
I like to imagine that when Vee gets embarassed or flustered she hides her face with her scarf, or when she gets nervous she holds on her braid. Also in the drawing with all the Venus different expressions, I used all Starfire references. I find her personality really close to Starfire.
Anyway, that's all, hope I don't disappear for another six months! (人*´∀｀)｡*ﾟ+
