I think that part of why Stiles aiding in Peter's murder is so important to me is because it stands in such a contrast to Peter's behavior toward Stiles.

Peter never harmed Stiles, at all. He doesn't hurt him, the worst he does is drag him along by his collar and shove his face down onto a car but even that is done much gentler than werewolf strength could make it.

But Stiles? Stiles took the first step in Peter's murder, by throwing the first Molotov cocktail. By wanting to set the victim of a horrific fire on fire again.

It's so ruthless and vicious and it is contrasted so hard by how Peter truly goes out of his way to not harm Stiles.

Not in the hospital when Stiles realizes Peter is the Alpha. Even though Peter could have so easily killed Stiles before Derek got there, but instead Peter just stood there and smiled at Stiles.

Not on the lacrosse field when he could have janked Stiles around, forced him with threats of violence. Even though Peter had just violently and animalistically attacked Lydia, yet even the act of making Stiles get off the ground is straight-up gentle by guiding him by his chin and not hauling him up with force.

Not in the parking garage, where it would have been so easy to force the bite onto Stiles, where it would have been so easy to just kill Stiles once he fulfilled his use. Even though we see the dead nurse in his trunk, because he killed her for being no longer useful. Even though he wants to give Stiles the bite, yet he accepts the rejection. And he just... leaves, not a hair harmed on that boy.

Peter's own behavior toward Stiles already stands in stark contrast to his behavior toward literally everybody else.

And, to me, it is heightened even more by the contrast of Stiles' own ruthlessness.

Because Peter did something worse than harm Stiles. He harmed those Stiles loved. He bit Scott and he tore into Lydia.

And it's probably my favorite character trait of Stiles', his unbreakable loyalty and his ruthless defense of those he loves. And I like to think it's also Peter's favorite character trait of Stiles'.

Which makes the murder so much more fucked up, in such a delicious way. Because it was traumatic and literally deadly to Peter, but I like to think that a part of Peter appreciates the part Stiles played in it.

Peter, who killed everyone who was involved with the Hale Fire, appreciates the ruthless murderous intend Stiles feels when those he loves are harmed and wronged. Even when it's the one boy he never harmed, never wanted to harm.

And that's fucked up and twisted and delicious and perfect.

Platonic OR romantic, Peter has never simped as hard for anyone as he has for Stiles and that’s his canon self okay yall ain’t doing him justice in fics. Even if it’s not Steter that man is at Stiles’s beck and call even when Stiles is giving him attitude he’ll roll his eyes and scoff and then instantly do what he asks him. Let Peter simp for him. He’s trying to either romance or adopt him at all times and I approve of both.

It just occurred to me how bizarre Peter/Stiles or Peter/Chris or even worse Peter/Chris/Stiles would be for Derek. My siblings got the heebie-jeebies at the idea that I wrote x-rated fanfic let alone did x-rated shit. Derek must have a full breakdown every time he hears Peter hit on them especially given that they must spend the majority of their time together as a pack strategizing. With werewolf hearing he can deffo hear the banging going on.

Like imagine Derek watching Stiles and Peter's convo over bank blueprints like a third wheel and just being like "Are you guys done flirting cause people are being held hostage here?"

Just Derek slamming his hands on the dining table and yelling "Stop eye fucking the brother of the bitch that burnt our house down!" And Chris gets all defensive and Peter makes it worse, ya know, for the hate sex.

Just Scott turning to Peter going "You can't fuck my best friend he's half your age! He's doesn't make good decisions! He's using you to compensate for his absent father!"

Derek showing up in Stiles bedroom in the middle of the night whisper yelling "You can't date my uncle! He's twice your age! He's a murderer and traumatized!"

They both respond "That's kinda hot tho???"

Derek and Scott scream.

Stiles is cursed so no one believes what he says. maybe Peter figures it out?

I may have overthought this, because I thought, if no one believes Stiles, couldn’t he just say the opposite of what he means and then they’d not believe it and therefore believe the thing he wants them to believe? And I couldn’t see a way for that to not work, which would trivialize the situation, so I added an element to the curse: he is also cursed to tell the truth.

Stiles leaves the pack meeting and wonders if maybe he’s doing more harm than good. It’s worse than just being disbelieved—when he warns them about a threat, or explains how to defeat someone, the curse of honest disbelief turns them away from the correct solution. And then they come to him afterward and cry, “Why didn’t you warn us?” and when he says he did, they don’t believe that either, so now they think he’s been screwing them over on purpose.

But the pack are the only people he knows who might be able to figure out how the fucking curse works, and he doesn’t want to live like this. There has to be a way. The right combination of questions to trick them into believing him. Somehow.

He’s most of the way to his car when Peter calls after him.

Turning, Stiles arches an eyebrow. He’d ask, but he’s tired of the doubt.

Peter stops in front of him. He looks serious. “I’m going to ask you a question, and it is very important that you answer seriously and honestly.”

Fuck. Stiles doesn’t even nod, afraid it’ll do more harm than good. He just waits.

Peter takes a deep breath. “Stiles. Does the Earth orbit the Sun?”

What the hell? Stiles frowns, but answers carefully. “Yes.”

He can see it in Peter’s eyes. The disbelief. Peter closes his eyes and rubs his temples. “There is something very wrong,” he says, and Stiles can’t help the way his heart soars. Peter opens his eyes and studies Stiles for a moment. “I need you to come with me. Do not speak. Do not attempt to communicate in any way. Just come with me.”

Peter drives him three hours to a curse-breaker. Stiles didn’t even know that specialized curse breakers existed. She’s very impressed with the work someone has done on Stiles. He’s willing to forgive that, given that she gets it off of him.

“How did you know?” Stiles asks once they’re back in the car. 

Peter keeps his eyes on the road. “You’re loyal,” he says. “It didn’t make sense that you’d suddenly start sabotaging the pack.”

“My loyalty is as immutable as the Earth orbiting the Sun?” Stiles is joking. He really is.

But Peter just shoots him a glance and says, “Yes.”

That’s…

That’s more faith than anyone has had in him in… Maybe ever.

“Thanks,” Stiles says quietly.

“My pleasure,” Peter says.

And Stiles believes him.

Steter AU where they both escape the Wild Hunt together but, due to Stiles' spark reacting to everything going on, it ends up throwing them back in time to the moment they first properly met each other.

As in the moment in the hospital where Derek goes to show Stiles and Scott what happened to Peter due to the Argents.

Stiles is internally freaking out and Peter is definitely doing his very best imitation of a catatonic Were while also internallly freaking the fuck out.

The whole time travel shenanigans mean that Peter ends up more mentally stable compared to his first run around as Alpha, and he and Stiles end up teaming up to deal and prevent the shit show that's Beacon Hills.

And if they end up together while working on fixing everything, it's just the perfectly natural evolution to their partnership.

The fact that Peter is arguably the only Teen Wolf villain who actively tried his best the whole series to never hurt Stiles? Meanwhile everyone else was like ‘is anyone gonna beat this kid up?’ And not waited for an answer. Like. Simp. He’s a simp.
